Description

Title of the invention: System for regulating the level of underground water reserves Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a system for regulating the level of groundwater reserves, in particular by regulating the level of rainwater in a drainage ditch, a regulated stream or a roadside ditch, designed to revitalize the ecosystem and increase groundwater reserves. Prior art

[0002] Since the middle of the last century, drainage ditches have been constructed in lowlands and on plains to facilitate the drainage of rainwater. However, their creation has led to the drying up of these ditches, a gradual reduction of groundwater reserves, overheating and desiccation of the soil, resulting in a lack of moisture in these areas and, consequently, a greater frequency of flooding during occasional rainfall.

[0003] The known technical solution is described in the registered Slovak utility model No. 6834 entitled "Groundwater level regulation system", in particular by regulating the rainwater level in a drainage ditch, which comprises an unpaved area with soil capillaries with an inspection well with groundwater and at least one drainage ditch with rainwater to which is attached at least one fixed impermeable overflow dam which consists of at least one spillway at the top and at least one permeable opening where at least one adjustable level extension is installed, while the drainage ditch is connected to the groundwater by means of water infiltration and soil capillaries.

[0004] Another known technical solution is described in the registered Slovak utility model No. 9678 entitled "Groundwater level regulation system", comprising an unpaved area with soil capillaries with an inspection well with groundwater and at least one drainage ditch with rainwater to which is attached at least one fixed impermeable overflow dam which consists of at least one spillway at the top and at least one permeable opening. It is constructed according to the following technical solution, the essence of which is that at least one protective cage and at least one adjustable level extension are attached in the permeable opening, while at least one fish pass is placed at its top.

[0005] Another known technical solution is described in the registered Czech utility model No. 16,056 entitled “Water dam”, in which a surface covering material is placed on the slope and protrudes beyond the crest of the water dam and into the valley slope of the water dam, while the surface cover material that is attached to the water dam in the area of the foot of the slope has the form of strips that are arranged perpendicular to the axis of the water dam. Each strip overlaps the adjacent strip in the direction from the lower point of the crest of the water dam or the center of the water dam. The disadvantage of this technical solution is that it does not solve the problem of regulating the water level in the dam or the groundwater level.

[0006] Another known technical solution is described in the registered Czech utility model No. 17,704 entitled "Installation for obtaining headwater for the use of hydraulic energy", in which a pipe connecting locations on a watercourse with different water levels is arranged directly in the riverbed, in its bank or nearby, while a modified structure is located upstream of the dam at the inlet of the pipe at the location where the water level is higher. The disadvantage of this technical solution is that it does not solve the problem of regulating the level of the watercourse or the groundwater level.

[0007] Another known technical solution is described in the registered Czech utility model No. 21 754 entitled "Regulating component for drainage systems", in which an orifice plate and / or a blind flange are inserted into a gap in drainage pipes of a drainage system. The orifice plate consists of a plate with a hole and a handle, and the blind flange consists of a plate with a handle. The size and shape of the hole are determined depending on the height of the drainage water and depending on the drainage flow rate at minimum, maximum or average flow rates. The disadvantage of this technical solution is that it does not solve the problem of regulating the water level in the system or the groundwater level.

[0008] Another known technical solution is described in the registered Czech utility model No. 22 386 entitled "Expansion of groundwater reserves in connection with a flood protection measure", in which artificial channels are created on a river, separated from the river by a dam with an overflow. These channels end in the area in front of a dike where infiltration boreholes are made, or they end in a retention structure. The disadvantage of this technical solution is that additional artificial channels must be built, which will only exacerbate the problem of reduced groundwater reserves. The disadvantage of this technical solution is that it does not solve the problem of regulating the groundwater level.

[0009] Another known solution is described in Czech patent application No. 302,474 entitled "Installation for controlling the water regime in wetland systems", in which an actuator of a zone water outlet opening valve wetland is operated directly or via a control unit by at least one level sensor, one edge sensor, one rainfall sensor, one improvement sensor, one contamination sensor and one flow sensor. The flow of improvement water and / or the flow of surface water or groundwater can be regulated by another actuated opening valve which is operated directly by the sensors or by the control unit. When the valve is closed, the inflow is discharged into the watercourse via a bypass and the installation fully controls the water regime in the wetland and prevents it from drying out. The disadvantage of this technical solution is the technical complexity and the high cost of its production. Disclosure of the invention

[0010] The groundwater reserve level regulation system according to the present invention makes it possible to largely overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings.

[0011] The present invention relates to a system for regulating the level of groundwater reserves, comprising an unpaved area with soil capillaries with an inspection well with groundwater and a drainage ditch with rainwater to which is attached at least one fixed impermeable overflow dam which consists of at least one spillway at the top and at least one permeable opening. At least one protective cage and at least one adjustable level extension with at least one fishway attached thereto are attached inside the permeable opening in the fixed impermeable overflow dam. At least one air tank is removably attached to the bottom of the fishway and a handling platform is removably attached to the top of the fixed impermeable overflow dam behind the protective cage above the permeable opening and above the adjustable level extension. [0019] Example No. 1

[0020] The system for regulating the level of groundwater reserves located in the drainage ditch, as shown in [Fig.l], comprises the unpaved area 1 with the soil capillaries 12. In the unpaved area 1 is created the drainage ditch 2, which is designed to collect rainwater 4. The walls of the drainage ditch 2 are disturbed by the soil capillaries 12 and ensure the infiltration of rainwater 4 through the water infiltration 11 and the soil capillaries 12 to the groundwater 5. They are designed to equalize the groundwater level 5 with the rainwater level 4 in the drainage ditch 2. The fixed impermeable overflow dam 3, made of impermeable material, is fixed to the drainage ditch 2 in accordance with [Fig.2]. A permeable opening 32 is made in the upper part of the impermeable dam 3 in accordance with [Fig.5].An adjustable level extension 43 is fixed in the permeable opening 32 to prevent reverse flow of groundwater 5 through the water seepage 11 and the soil capillaries 12 into the drainage ditch 2. The adjustable level extension 43, as shown in [Fig. 3], ensures adjustment of the level of rainwater 4 in the drainage ditch 2. The adjustable level extension 43 also ensures adjustment of the level of groundwater 5 by the infiltration of rainwater 4 through the water seepage 11 and the soil capillaries 12 into the groundwater 5. A protective cage 41 designed to contain driftwood is fixed to the permeable opening 32, as shown in [Fig. 5]. A fish pass 42 designed for the passage of fish over the fixed impermeable overflow dam 3 is attached to the top of the adjustable level extension 43, as shown in [Fig.4].A side cover 71 is removably attached to one side of the fishway 42 by means of a bolted connection 72, according to [Fig. 6]. Another side cover 71 is removably attached to the other side of the fishway 42 by means of the bolted connection 72. An air reservoir 7 is removably attached between the side covers 71 by means of the bolted connection 72. It is designed to automatically raise and lower the fishway 42 based on the level in the drainage ditch 2. The spillway 31 is provided at the top of the fixed impermeable overflow dam 3, as shown in [Fig. 5]. It is designed to drain excess rainwater 4 into the drainage ditch 2, particularly during rainfall and snowmelt. The handling platform 33, consisting of a metal grid, is removably fixed to the top of the fixed impermeable overflow dam 3.It is intended for handling and adjusting the height of the adjustable level extension 43 and for removing driftwood from the protective cage 4L The well. inspection pit 6 is provided in the unpaved area 1 at a distance of about 70 m from the drainage ditch in accordance with [Fig.l]. It is designed to check the groundwater level 5. The inspection pit 6 is filled with groundwater 5 via water infiltration 11 and soil capillaries 12. Industrial application

[0021] The groundwater level control system can be used to significantly slow down groundwater runoff from the ground, replenish groundwater reserves, thereby restoring the hydrological regime of plains and lowlands, protecting the area from droughts and floods, restoring biodiversity, stabilizing the climate and mitigating weather fluctuations. In addition to saturating the soil and increasing groundwater reserves, rainfall will be more regular and fish will be protected from extinction in the event of weather fluctuations. When constructing impermeable fixed overflow dams in a drainage ditch, regulated stream or roadside ditch, the silt from the bed between individual fixed overflow dams must be removed and the adjacent slopes must be leveled if necessary. The technical solution can be used during floods to prevent flooding and during droughts for drought prevention measures, i.e. to maintain lowlands and plains in good condition so as to satisfactorily manage an increased amount of precipitation and provide sufficient water resources in the landscape. The use of the technical solution will ensure the ability of the area to resume fulfilling its natural functions in the distribution of rainwater. List of reference signs
