Description

Title of the invention: commutator for wound rotor Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a collector for a wound rotor as well as a rotor comprising such a collector. Technological background

[0002] Wound rotors for rotating electrical machines conventionally comprise a rotation shaft and a rotor body engaged on said shaft. The rotor body comprises a plurality of wound poles.

[0003] In order to ensure the passage of electric current in the winding, the rotor further comprises a collector also called a "slip ring" in English. This collector is engaged on the shaft and rests against a shoulder made in said shaft. The collector comprises two hooks made of conductive material to which the two ends of the winding wire are connected.

[0004] To wind the winding wire around the poles and before reaching the first pole to be wound, the wire is first fixed at one of its free ends to one of the two hooks of the collector. This wire is then directed towards the rotor body to wind it around the poles. The wire is finally fixed at its second free end to the second hook.

[0005] When developing the winding circuit, the new winding scheme brought the input and output portions of the winding wire at the commutator considerably closer together. Consequently, there is a significant risk of contact between these portions, during operation of the motor or when moving the commutator to its final position. This can cause a short circuit and grounding which could create an immobilizing failure of the rotor.

[0006] There is therefore a need to further improve the collectors of wound rotors to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks. Summary of the invention

[0007] The invention aims to meet this need, and achieves this by means of a collector for a wound rotor, said collector comprising: - an elongated body (20) capable of engaging on a rotation shaft (50) of the rotor, said body comprising separation means arranged to maintain a non-zero distance between a first portion of a winding wire, called the "input portion" and a second portion of said winding wire, called the "output portion", said separation means comprising at least a first wall projecting from a wall lateral of the body, said wall being arranged to come substantially into contact at least partially, in particular on its external face, with the entry portion of the winding wire.

[0008] In the following, the terms “input” and “output” are defined in relation to the direction of the current supplying the rotor winding.

[0009] The “input portion” may correspond to a portion of the winding wire which goes from a first connection of the wire with the collector towards the poles of the rotor, in particular in the direction of a first pole of said rotor.

[0010] The “output portion” corresponds to the portion of the wire leaving the poles, in particular from a last pole of the rotor, towards a second connection of the wire with the collector.

[0011] The invention provides separation means for maintaining a non-zero distance between the input and output portions of the winding wire.

[0012] The first wall serves as a stop for the input portion of the winding wire. This prevents this portion from approaching the output portion of the wire, thus ensuring a sufficient insulation distance to avoid possible contact between said portions. This prevents a short circuit and / or grounding that could cause a breakdown immobilizing the rotor.

[0013] Preferably, the separation means further comprise a second wall, in particular distinct from the first wall, projecting from the side wall of the body, the second wall being arranged to come into contact at least partially, in particular on its external face, with the entry portion of the winding wire.

[0014] Preferably, the separating means and the body are monolithic.

[0015] By "monolithic" is meant that the body and the separation means are in the form of a single block. Preferably, the separation means and the body are obtained by injection.

[0016] Preferably, the first and second walls each extend at a non-zero distance from the lateral edge of the body.

[0017] Preferably, the first and second walls extend at a substantially identical distance from the lateral edge of the body.

[0018] Preferably, the first and second walls are arranged to be positioned between the wire entry portion and the wire exit portion.

[0019] The first and second walls may be arranged at different heights from the body wall.

[0020] For example, the body may comprise an excess thickness extending radially outwards, one of the first and second walls being provided on this excess thickness.

[0021] Preferably, the body is generally cylindrical in shape.

[0022] The body may comprise a ring adapted to engage on the rotation shaft of the rotor, the first and / or the second wall(s) extending from the ring.

[0023] Preferably, the first and second walls are arranged at a substantially identical distance from the lateral edge of the ring, in particular greater than or equal to a quarter of the width of the ring, for example equal, the two walls are arranged at half the width of the ring.

[0024] Preferably, the collector comprises at least one excitation ring made of conductive material.

[0025] Preferably, the collector comprises two connection elements, in particular hooks, fixed to the body. The first and second connection elements respectively define a current input connection and a current output connection. Preferably, the winding wire is fixed to the first and second connection elements at the ends of its input and output portions, respectively.

[0026] Preferably, one of the first and second walls is arranged opposite the current output connection element. This makes it possible to avoid contact between the input portion of the winding wire and the output connection element.

[0027] The invention also relates, independently or in combination with the above, to an electric machine rotor, rotating around an axis of rotation X, the rotor comprising: - a rotation shaft with longitudinal axis X, - a rotor body mounted on the shaft, - a collector according to the invention.

[0028] Preferably, the elongated body has a longitudinal axis coincident with the axis of rotation X.

[0029] Preferably, the shaft comprises a shoulder which bears against the body, in particular against a rear face of said body.

[0030] The invention also relates to an electrical machine comprising a rotor according to the invention and / or a collector according to the invention.

[0031] The invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, comprising an electric machine according to the invention and / or a rotor according to the invention and / or a collector according to the invention. Brief description of the figures

[0032] The invention may be better understood by reading the detailed description which follows, a non-limiting example of its implementation, and by examining the attached drawing in which:

[0033] [Fig-1] [Fig.l] is a schematic and partial perspective view of a collector of a rotor according to the invention;

[0034] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] illustrates the collector of [Fig.l] on which a first portion of a winding wire is wound; and

[0035] [Fig.3] [Fig.3] illustrates the commutator of [Fig.2] on which a second portion of a winding wire is wound. Description of embodiment(s)

[0036] Figures 1 and 3 show a collector according to the invention intended to be engaged on a rotation shaft 50 of a wound rotor (not shown).

[0037] As illustrated, the collector 10 comprises an elongated body 20 extending along a longitudinal axis coincident with the axis of rotation X of the rotor. The elongated body 20 is of generally cylindrical shape and comprises a ring 25 as well as a sleeve not shown in the figures. The body 20 further comprises two branches, one 62 of which is shown, connecting the ring 25 to the sleeve 60.

[0038] In the example illustrated, the two branches 62 extend parallel to the axis of rotation X and are bent at their junction with the ring.

[0039] The sleeve receives at least one excitation ring, not shown. These rings are connected to two connection elements fixed to the ring 25. In the figures, only the connection element 16 is shown and corresponds to the supply current output connection element. As illustrated, the connection element 16 defines a channel arranged to be crossed by a portion 44 of a winding wire 40, called the “output portion”.

[0040] The collector further comprises separation means 30 projecting from a side wall 22 of the body 20. In the example illustrated, the separation means 30 comprise first and second walls 32 and 34 extending over a portion of said wall 22. In this example, the walls extend from the ring 25 at mid-width.

[0041] As illustrated in [Fig.2], the first and second are positioned so as to come at least partially into contact with a first portion 42 of a winding wire 40, called the “input portion”. The first wall 32 is arranged opposite the output connection element 16.

[0042] As illustrated, the first and second walls extend at a substantially identical distance from the lateral edge of the ring. This distance corresponds in the illustrated example to half the width of the ring.

[0043] The first and second walls are arranged at different heights from the wall of the body. In this example, the ring 25 has an excess thickness 29 extending radially outwards, the second wall 34 being arranged on this excess thickness 29.

[0044] As can be seen in [Fig.2], the entry portion of the wire 40 is held against the external face of the walls 32 and 34. Also, the presence of these walls allows

[0045]

[0046] to prevent contact between the input and output portions of the winding wire. In addition, due to its positioning, the first wall 32 makes it possible to avoid contact between the input portion 42 of the winding wire 40. The invention is not limited to the example which has just been described. The walls may have a different shape than that shown in the figures.
