Description

Title of the invention: METHOD FOR MANAGING AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of domestic electrical infrastructures. More particularly, the invention relates to a method for managing an electrical system and to such an electrical system.

[0002] In the state of the art, there are known buildings equipped with photovoltaic panels that allow for the local production of electrical energy from solar energy.

[0003] Such known electrical systems have stationary battery systems to store the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels when it is not being used directly by or within the building. Thus, buildings equipped with these stationary battery systems are used to increase the benefits of self-consumption on a domestic electrical grid. However, current legislation does not always allow the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels to be fed back into the electricity distribution network, or such feeding is done at an unattractive buyback price.

[0004] Also, some known electrical assemblies do not include these stationary battery systems in order to reduce the installation costs of these electrical assemblies. In this case, the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels must be consumed immediately, thus reducing the electrical consumption from the electrical distribution network.

[0005] In the context of the present invention, the electrical assemblies considered are not those allowing a total reinjection of the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels onto a specific meter, such electrical assemblies being intended for the production of photovoltaic electrical energy which cannot be used directly for the energy needs of the building or for charging an electrified motor vehicle.

[0006] Generally speaking, in known electrical systems, photovoltaic panels can only operate when the electrical distribution network is functional, that is, when the domestic electrical network to which they are connected is electrically coupled to the electrical distribution network. Indeed, since the electricity production of photovoltaic panels is highly variable—depending on the weather, temperature, and quality of solar radiation, for example—photovoltaic panels cannot represent a source of A stable voltage is essential for electrical appliances connected to the building and the domestic power grid in the event of a power outage. Furthermore, when the power grid is down, for example due to an extreme weather event, photovoltaic panels cannot operate because they require a stable voltage reference – usually provided by the power grid.

[0007] The present invention aims to propose a new electrical management method in order to address at least largely the previous problems and to lead to other advantages.

[0008] Another objective of the invention is to enable the operation of photovoltaic panels in the event of failure of the electrical distribution network.

[0009] Another objective of the invention is to offer optimized management of these electrical assemblies.

[0010] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with a method for managing an electrical assembly comprising:

[0011] - a building comprising a domestic electrical network;

[0012] - a plurality of electrical devices located in or associated with the building, said electrical appliances being electrically connected to the domestic electrical network;

[0013] - at least one photovoltaic panel associated with the building and electrically coupled to the domestic electrical grid in order to generate electrical energy that can be injected into the domestic grid;

[0014] - an electrified motor vehicle comprising an electric traction battery;

[0015] - a charging station electrically connected, on the one hand, to the domestic network and, on the other hand, to the motor vehicle;

[0016] the management method comprising a step of controlling the electric traction battery of the motor vehicle in order to inject electrical energy into the domestic electrical network.

[0017] In the context of the present invention, a domestic electrical network is a domestic electrical installation such as those found in individual or multi-family dwellings. Such a domestic electrical network includes, for example, a main circuit breaker that isolates the domestic electrical network from a distribution electrical network. Downstream of the main circuit breaker, the domestic electrical network generally includes one or more electrical appliances that constitute electrical consumers, such as, for example, lighting sources, heating sources, and household appliances. The electrical consumers are located within the building, each electrical consumer being connected to the main circuit breaker via an electrical circuit, possibly through a dedicated circuit breaker to protect said electrical circuit. The main circuit breaker protects the network domestic electricity and all electrical circuits located downstream.

[0018] In the context of the present invention, the electrical distribution network is configured to allow the connection of the domestic electrical network to a power supply source, such as, for example, a power plant. The electrical distribution network is separate from the domestic electrical network. The electrical distribution network is located primarily—or even exclusively—outside the building, while the domestic electrical network is located primarily—or even exclusively—inside the building. Optionally, the electrical distribution network is separated from the electrical network by the main circuit breaker.

[0019] In the context of the present invention, the at least one photovoltaic panel takes the form of a domestic photovoltaic system configured to produce at most a few kilowatt-hours per day. The photovoltaic system is connected directly to the domestic electrical grid. In the context of the invention, the photovoltaic system is a domestic system, and not an industrial installation for the production of photovoltaic electricity intended to be sold in its entirety.

[0020] In the context of the present invention, an electrified motor vehicle is of the type of an electric or plug-in hybrid motor vehicle. Generally, a drivetrain of such an electrified motor vehicle is rotated by an electric machine, electrically powered by an electric traction battery, in order to generate motor torque used to propel the motor vehicle. Complementarily or alternatively, the electric machine is configured to recover mechanical energy from the drivetrain and convert it into electrical energy, thereby producing braking torque on said drivetrain and enabling the electric traction battery to be recharged.

[0021] In the context of the present invention, the electric traction battery makes it possible to generate a direct current voltage of at least 300V, for example equal to 400V or 800V. Generally, the electric traction battery is configured to supply electrical energy to an electric machine generating motor torque on the traction system of the motor vehicle.

[0022] According to the invention, the control step of the management process allows the electric traction battery of the motor vehicle to be controlled to use the electrical energy stored in said electric traction battery in order to supplement the electrical distribution network and the domestic electrical network in order to provide said domestic electrical network with the electrical energy that the electrical appliances need to function properly.

[0023] Thus, the invention makes it possible to use the electric traction battery - in addition to photovoltaic panels or as a substitute for said photovoltaic panels - to inject the electrical energy stored in the electric traction battery directly into the domestic electrical grid. This advantageous configuration makes the domestic electrical grid more robust and reliable in the event of failures or outages in the electrical distribution network.

[0024] The management method according to the first aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the following improvements, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:

[0025] - the management process includes a step of adapting to the electrical network The adaptation step consists of carrying out an electrical transformation of the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery of the motor vehicle in order to make it identical to that generally available on the domestic electrical network, i.e. for example of the type of a polyphase electrical network at 220V and 50 Hz;

[0026] - according to a first embodiment, the adaptation step is carried out by the charging station. In other words, the charging station includes an inverter configured to transform the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery so that it can be injected into the domestic electrical grid;

[0027] - according to a second embodiment, the adaptation step is carried out by the motor vehicle. In other words, the motor vehicle has an inverter configured to transform the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery so that it can be injected into the domestic electrical grid, via the charging station;

[0028] - the electrical assembly includes an electrical switching element configured To enable the connection of the domestic electrical network to a distribution network and the disconnection of said domestic electrical network from said distribution network, the management process includes a step of configuring the electrical switching device in its disconnection configuration. The switching device is, for example, an anti-islanding device to allow the building to be electrically isolated from the distribution network in the event of a failure or outage of said distribution network, and to allow the building and the domestic electrical network to be reconnected to the distribution network when said distribution network is restored.

[0029] According to a second aspect of the invention, an electrical assembly is proposed comprising:

[0030] - a building comprising a domestic electrical network;

[0031] - an electrical switching device configured to be able to take a confi configuration of electrical coupling of the domestic electrical network to an electrical distribution network and a configuration of electrical decoupling of said domestic electrical network from said electrical distribution network;

[0032] - a plurality of electrical devices located in or associated with the building, said electrical appliances being electrically connected to the domestic electrical network;

[0033] - at least one photovoltaic panel associated with the building and electrically coupled to the domestic electrical grid in order to generate electrical energy that can be injected into the domestic grid

[0034] - an electrified motor vehicle;

[0035] - a charging station electrically connected, on the one hand, to the domestic network and, on the other hand, to the motor vehicle;

[0036] - a control unit configured to implement the management process conforming to the first aspect of the invention or according to any of its improvements.

[0037] In the context of the present invention, the control unit comprises a microcontroller and / or a printed circuit board and / or a microprocessor.

[0038] The electrical assembly according to the second aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:

[0039] - the domestic electrical network is intended to be connected to a distribution electrical network tribute;

[0040] - The electrical switching element is of the anti-islanding component type. The The anti-islanding component makes it possible to facilitate the unpredictable disconnection of the domestic electrical network from the electrical distribution network and the subsequent reconnection of said domestic electrical network to said electrical distribution network, while allowing the domestic electrical network to operate during the disconnection period;

[0041] - according to a first embodiment, the charging station comprises a inverter configured to adapt to the domestic electrical network the electrical voltage produced by an electric traction battery of the motor vehicle;

[0042] - according to a second embodiment, the motor vehicle comprises a an electric traction battery and an inverter configured to adapt the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery to the domestic electrical grid.

[0043] - in the event of a failure of the electrical distribution network and if the photo panels photovoltaic panels produce more electrical energy than the needs of electrical appliances on the domestic electrical grid; the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels is used to recharge the electric traction battery.

[0044] Various embodiments of the invention are provided, incorporating, according to all their possible combinations, the different optional features set out here.

[0045] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description on the one hand, and from several illustrative and non-limiting examples of embodiments given by reference to the accompanying schematic drawings on the other hand, in which:

[0046] [Fig-1] illustrates a schematic view of an example embodiment of the assembly electrical conforming to the second aspect of the invention;

[0047] [Fig.2] illustrates a synoptic view of the management process conforming to the first aspect of the invention.

[0048] Of course, the features, variants, and different embodiments of the invention can be combined in various ways, provided they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, variants of the invention may be conceived comprising only a selection of features, described hereafter in isolation from the other described features, if this selection of features is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the prior art.

[0049] In particular, all the variants and embodiments described are combinable with each other if there is no technical obstacle to this combination.

[0050] In the figures, the elements common to several figures retain the same reference.

[0051] With reference to FIGURES 1 and 2, the invention addresses an electrical assembly 1 comprising:

[0052] - a building 15 comprising a domestic electrical network 12;

[0053] - a plurality of electrical devices 151 located in or associated with building 15 building 15, the said electrical appliances 151 being electrically connected to the domestic electrical network 12;

[0054] - at least one photovoltaic panel 11 associated with the building 15 and electrically coupled connected to the domestic electrical network 12 in order to generate electrical energy that can be injected into the domestic network;

[0055] - an electrified motor vehicle 18 comprising an electric traction battery 19;

[0056] - a charging station 16 electrically coupled, on the one hand, to the network do mestique and, on the other hand, to the motor vehicle 18 via a charging cable 17.

[0057] The domestic electrical network 12 forms a domestic electrical installation such that can be found in individual or collective housing. Such a domestic electrical network 12 includes, for example, a main circuit breaker 152 allowing the domestic electrical network 12 to be isolated from a distribution electrical network 14. Downstream of the main circuit breaker 152, the domestic electrical network 12 generally includes one or more electrical devices forming electrical consumers, such as, for example, lighting sources, heating sources, household appliances.

[0058] The electrical distribution network 14 is configured to allow the connection of the domestic electrical network 12 to a remote power supply source, such as, for example, a power plant. The electrical distribution network 14 is separate from the domestic electrical network 12. The electrical distribution network 14 is separated from the electrical network by the main circuit breaker 152.

[0059] Optionally, the electrical assembly 1 includes an electrical switching device 13 configured to be able to assume an electrical coupling configuration of the domestic electrical network 12 to a distribution electrical network 14 and an electrical decoupling configuration of said domestic electrical network 12 to said distribution electrical network 14, the management method 2 comprising a configuration step 23 of the electrical switching device 13 in its electrical decoupling configuration. The switching device 13 is, for example, of the anti-islanding type in order to allow the building 15 to be electrically isolated from the distribution electrical network 14 in the event of a failure or outage of said distribution electrical network 14, and to allow the building 15 and the domestic electrical network 12 to be electrically reconnected to the distribution electrical network 14 when said distribution electrical network 14 is restored.

[0060] The invention also addresses a management method 2 comprising a control step 21 of the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18 in order to inject electrical energy into the domestic electrical network 12.

[0061] According to the invention, the control step 21 of the management method 2 allows the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18 to be controlled to use the electrical energy stored in said electric traction battery 19 to supplement the electrical distribution network 14 and the domestic electrical network 12 in order to supply said domestic electrical network 12 with the electrical energy that the electrical appliances 151 need to function correctly. Thus, the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18 is used as a local energy source to meet the energy needs of the domestic electrical network 12 and the electrical appliances 151. In the event of a failure or interruption of the electrical distribution network 14, the electric traction battery 19 is therefore discharged in order to serve as a voltage reference for the domestic electrical network 12, subsequently allowing the photovoltaic panels 11 continue to operate despite disconnection from the electrical distribution network 14. Indeed, in this case, the electric traction battery 19 is sufficiently stable to allow such operation.

[0062] To this end, the management process 2 includes an adaptation step 22 to the domestic electrical network 12 of the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18. The adaptation step 22 thus consists of carrying out an electrical transformation of the electrical voltage delivered by the electric traction battery in order to make it identical to that generally available on the domestic electrical network 12, i.e. for example of the type of a polyphase electrical network at 220V and 50 Hz.

[0063] The adaptation step 22 is carried out by the charging station 16, said charging station 16 comprising an inverter configured to transform the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery 19 so that it can be injected into the domestic electrical network 12. Alternatively, the adaptation step 22 is carried out by the motor vehicle 18, said motor vehicle 18 comprising an inverter configured to transform the electrical voltage produced by the electric traction battery 19 so that it can be injected into the domestic electrical network 12, via the charging station 16.

[0064] In the case where the electrical assembly 1 includes an electrical switching element 13, the management process 2 then includes a configuration step 23 of the electrical switching element 13 in its electrical decoupling configuration.

[0065] Thus, the invention makes it possible to use the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18 - in addition to the photovoltaic panels 11 or as a replacement for said photovoltaic panels 11 - to inject directly into the domestic electrical network 12 the electrical energy stored in said electric traction battery 19. The electric traction battery 19 thus forms a voltage source sufficiently reliable and robust to allow the possible operation of the photovoltaic panels 11, thereby making possible a continuity of electrical supply for the building 15 and the electrical appliances 151 of the domestic electrical network 12.

[0066] In the case where the photovoltaic panels 11 produce electrical energy greater than the needs of the electrical appliances 151 of the domestic electrical network 12, then it is now possible to recharge the electric traction battery 19.

[0067] Thus, the invention makes it possible to better manage possible failures of the electrical distribution network 14 and to allow both the operation of the photovoltaic panels 11 of the electrical assembly 1 isolated from the electrical distribution network 14, but also, where appropriate, a recharge of the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18.

[0068] In summary, the invention relates to an electrical assembly 1 comprising a building 15 having a domestic electrical network 12 electrically connecting a plurality of electrical devices 151 located in or associated with the building 15, at least one photovoltaic panel 11 electrically connected to the domestic electrical network 12 in order to generate electrical energy that can be injected into the domestic network, an electrified motor vehicle 18 having an electric traction battery 19 connected to the domestic electrical network 12 via a charging station 16. The invention also addresses a management method 2 comprising a control step 21 of the electric traction battery 19 of the motor vehicle 18 in order to inject electrical energy into the domestic electrical network 12.

[0069] Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples just described, and many modifications can be made to these examples without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, the various features, forms, variants, and embodiments of the invention can be combined with one another in various ways, provided they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, all the variants and embodiments described above are combinable.
