[0020] [Fig. 1] shows a first embodiment of the power supply device for devices according to the invention.
[0021] [Fig.l] shows a power supply device for devices 1 comprising an external facade 18 fixed to a wall 17 using fixing means 19 on which rests a retractable flap 11 configured to give access to a connector 10 for charging said devices to a user.
[0022] A 220-240V 16A type E socket 15 may be added to said external facade. Alternatively, a second retractable flap 11 configured to provide access to a second device charging connector 10 of a type other than that of the first retractable flap may be added to said external facade.
[0023] Thus, two devices connected respectively to each connector 10 can be charged simultaneously. One of the devices can be an Android type mobile phone, the other device can be an iOS type phone. A connector can be dedicated to each type of device. Also an adapter on the connector 10 can be made available for compatibility purposes with a type of device other than that initially intended.
[0024] The retractable flap 11, when folded down, makes said connector invisible as shown in drawing 1a.
[0025] The retractable flap 11 when open, allows access to said connector and its use, as shown in drawing 1b.
[0026] A protrusion 13 on said retractable valve 11 makes it possible to open said valve. A recess 12 under the protrusion 13 makes it possible to lift said protrusion, thus making it possible to easily open said valve.
[0027] The connector is connected to a retractable cable, the underlying mechanism of which will be described in [Fig.2].
[0028] [Fig.2] shows an internal view of the first embodiment of the power supply device for appliances according to the invention.
[0029] [Fig.2] shows the power supply device for appliances 1 of the first embodiment comprising the external front 18, the retractable flap 11, a retractable cable 20, a power supply board 30 acting as a charger via a connection of electric cables 24 to the electrical system housing the device, a mechanism 31 for pulling and retracting said cable, a rear housing 26 protecting said power supply board and said mechanism, a cable 25 protecting said electric cables 24.
[0030] The cable 20 may be provided with a standardized USB Type-C or USB-C connector with an oblong profile designed to serve numerous uses (power supply, data transfer, audio cable connection, video output).
[0031] The rear housing 26 can be recessed into a wall or into a desk.
[0032] The rear housing 26 may have a height of 136 millimeters, a depth of 152 millimeters and a width of 164 millimeters.
[0033] [Fig. 3] shows a second embodiment of the power supply device for devices according to the invention.
[0034] [Fig. 3] shows a power supply device for devices 1 comprising an external front 18 fixable to a wall using fixing means on which rests a mechanism 31 configured to receive a cable 20 provided with a device charging connector 10, a power supply card 30 acting as a charger via a connection of electrical cables to the electrical system housing the device, a rear housing 26 protecting said power supply card.
[0035] The connector 10 may be a standardized USB Type-C or USB-C connector with an oblong profile designed to serve many uses (power supply, data transfer, audio cable connection, video output).
[0036] A 220-240V 16A type E socket 15 may be added to said external facade. Alternatively, a second mechanism 31 configured to receive a cable 20 provided with a connector 10 for charging a device of a type other than that of the first mechanism may be added to said external facade.
[0037] Thus, two devices connected respectively to each connector 10 can be charged simultaneously. One of the devices can be a mobile phone of the type Android, the other device can be an iOS phone. A connector can be dedicated to each type of device. Also, an adapter on connector 10 can be made available for compatibility with a different type of device than the one initially intended.
[0038] [Fig.4] shows an internal view of the second embodiment of the power supply device for appliances according to the invention.
[0039] [Fig.4] shows an internal view of the mechanism 31 comprising an upper face 41, a lower housing 45 connected by fixing means 40, said face and housing are configured to receive an automatic retraction cam 42 with ratchet and follower mechanism in order to control the automatic retraction and locking of the cable 20 around an internally rotating and single track reel when said cable is pulled and returned, a pre-stressed torsion spring 43 in order to provide the rotational force for the winding of said cable, a stabilizing bearing 44 in order to stabilize said spring, a slip ring 46 in order to pass the electrical power supplied by the electrical system housing the device through connectors 47.
[0040] The fixing means 40 may be screws.
[0041] [Fig.5] shows a third embodiment of the power supply device for devices according to the invention.
[0042] [Fig. 5] shows a power supply device for devices 1 comprising an external front 18 fixable to a wall using fixing means on which rests a support 51, a mechanism 31 configured to receive a retractable cable 66, 67 provided with a device charging connector 10, a power supply card 30 acting as a charger via a connection of electrical cables to the electrical system housing the device, a rear housing 26 protecting said power supply card and said support.
[0043] Drawing 5a shows the mechanism outside the facade. Drawing 5b shows the mechanism in the facade.
[0044] The connector 10 may be a standardized USB Type-C or USB-C connector with an oblong profile designed to serve many uses (power supply, data transfer, audio cable connection, video output).
[0045] A 220-240V 16A type E socket 15 may be added to said external facade. Alternatively, a second mechanism 31 configured to receive a cable 20 provided with a connector 10 for charging a device of a type other than that of the first mechanism may be added to said external facade.
[0046] Thus, two devices connected respectively to each connector 10 can be charged simultaneously. One of the devices can be an Android type mobile phone, the other device can be an iOS type phone. A connector can be dedicated to each type of device. Also an adapter on the connector 10 can be made available for compatibility with a device type other than that originally intended.
[0047] The rear housing 26 can be recessed into a wall or into a desk.
[0048] [Fig.6] shows an internal view of the third embodiment of the device power supply for devices according to the invention.
[0049] [Fig.6] shows an internal view of the mechanism 31 comprising a cable 66 provided with a connector 68, a cable 67 provided with a connector 10, an upper face 60, a lower face 61 connected by a tension screw 62 of the mechanism, said faces are configured to receive an automatic retraction cam 42 with ball bearing 64 in order to control the retraction and automatic locking of said cables 66, 67 around a double track winder when said cables are pulled and returned, a pre-stressed torsion spring 43 in order to provide the rotational force for the winding of said cables 66, 67.
[0050] Thus, tightening the tension screw increases the resistance of the stopping points in the mechanism, the housing constituting the mechanism acts as an adjustable tension spring.
[0051] Thus the double track reel allows two cable ends to be released and wound side by side without tangling them.
[0052] The wiring type of the cables 66, 67 may be flat or round. Flat wiring allows for a lower profile mechanism while round wiring allows for better multi-directional flexibility.
[0053] This third embodiment is more economically advantageous than the second embodiment. Indeed, it does not require an internal slip ring, internal wiring or additional connectors. The mechanism can also be of customizable dimensions.
[0054] The advantage of the invention is to allow devices to be connected for the purpose of charging said devices at a desired distance from the user relative to a static location of the device embedded in a wall or in a desk. Thus an alternative for charging these devices is provided when the charger supplied with these devices is not within reach of the user.
