Abstract

The invention relates to a device facilitating the insertion or removal of electrical wires into a socket and into the holes provided for this purpose, without using force and without risk of damaging the equipment, which gives the assembly an increased guarantee of safety. It consists of a socket body (1), a connection block (2), two push buttons (3), two flexible conductive metal tabs (4), two rigid conductive metal tabs (5). When the user exerts pressure on a push button, it deforms the flexible conductive metal tab in order to leave space to insert a flexible or rigid electrical wire, without effort or specific technique. After releasing the push button, the conductive metal tab closes and compresses the electrical wire. The device according to the invention is intended for all types of users wishing to install or change a socket on a light fixture. Figure for the abstract: [Fig. 1]

Description

Title of the invention: Push-in quick-connect socket

[0001] The present invention relates to a device which aims to facilitate the insertion and removal of electrical wires on the socket of a light fitting and in the holes provided for this purpose. This procedure is intended to be simple and quick. The insertion / removal of electrical wires is traditionally done either by screwing, requiring the user to have a tool (usually a screwdriver), or by clipping, which is not always easy, especially when inserting flexible core cables and often results in the breakage of the conductive metal tabs or the core of the cables when attempting to remove the electrical wires. The device imagined and listed as "the invention" makes it possible to remedy this drawback. It in fact comprises two push buttons, allowing the conductive metal tabs to deform when pressed, giving the user the possibility of inserting or removing their flexible or rigid electrical wires in the holes without using force. After releasing the push button, the conductive metal tab closes and compresses the electrical wire. The attached drawings illustrate the invention.

[0002] [Fig-1] represents an exploded view of all the elements making up the invention. [Fig.2] represents a view of the elements of the invention assembled. [Fig.3] represents in section, the device of the invention. [Fig.4] shows a view of the connection block. [Fig.5] represents the internal mechanism of the connection block

[0003] With reference to these figures, the device comprises a socket body (1), a connection block (2), two push buttons (3), two flexible conductive metal tabs (4), two rigid conductive metal tabs (5) The connection block (2) has 4 holes for connecting the electrical wires on the top (a), as well as two lights on either side of the block (b) in which the push buttons are housed. Two sub-assemblies composed of a flexible conductive metal tab (4) fixed to a rigid tab (5) are housed inside the connection block. The flexible conductive metal tab is the one that will deform under the pressure exerted on the push button in order to make room for the electric cable.

Claims

Claims

1. Device which allows flexible or rigid electrical wires to be inserted or removed from a socket and into the holes provided for this purpose, simply and quickly. The essential characteristic is that it comprises a connection block (2) having two slots (b) into which the push buttons are inserted.
