Description

Title of the invention: Coupling element between a gutter profile and a gutter profile connector, and assembly comprising these three elements Technical field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a coupling element between a gutter profile and a gutter profile connector, and an assembly comprising a coupling element, a gutter profile and a gutter profile connector. In particular, the present disclosure falls within the context of metal gutter profiles, for example made of aluminum, zinc, steel, copper, etc., but not only. Prior art

[0002] The sealing joints between a gutter profile and a profile connection Gutter joints have always been a delicate subject. Indeed, these joints are generally subject to mechanical constraints, particularly in shear, which can prove significant when large thermal expansion differentials appear between the connection and the gutter profile. In addition, the imperatives of respect for the environment and the reduction of polluting materials are increasingly necessary, particularly on construction sites where waste treatment conditions are not necessarily optimal. Finally, the aesthetic requirements for having the most homogeneous and "smooth" exterior appearance possible when the gutter is installed remain high. To this end, a known solution, described in particular by FR 3 101 900 and FR 3 101 901, consists of providing an adhesive joint between the connection and the gutter profile to form a watertight seal. This solution is completely satisfactory and eliminates the need to use silicone or other sealing materials on site, which drastically reduces the quantity of pollutants generated (the material itself, but also all the elements linked to its packaging and implementation such as cartridges containing the silicone, cloths, cleaners, etc.), while the aesthetic finish meets the highest standards. However, in certain exceptional circumstances, particularly during the very high temperatures encountered as a result of global warming, the differentials in thermal expansion, for example linked to a very long length of the gutter profile or to the combined use of two separate materials for the profile and for the connection which have quite different thermal expansion coefficients, the adhesive joint may be altered, particularly by fining, and no longer correctly ensure its sealing function. There is therefore a need in this regard. Statement of the invention

[0003] One embodiment relates to a coupling element configured to couple a gutter profile connector and a gutter profile in at least a first direction (e.g. first axial direction), the coupling element comprising a mechanical coupling portion configured to be mechanically coupled in translation in the at least a first direction to a first element among the gutter profile and the gutter profile connector, and a stop portion configured to limit the relative movements in the first direction of the second element among the gutter profile and the gutter profile connector with respect to the coupling element.

[0004] Hereinafter and unless otherwise indicated, by "connection" is meant "connection of gutter profiles" and by "profile" is meant "gutter profile". The coupling element may also be called "plating hook" by those skilled in the art.

[0005] It is understood that the connector makes it possible to connect two separate gutter profiles arranged end-to-end. The connector may be straight or form an angle. The connector may form an expansion joint. The connector therefore comprises two connector portions, each connector portion being configured to connect the connector to a profile. The connector portion may be provided with an adhesive seal for watertightness between the connector and the profile.

[0006] For example, when connected, the connector and the profile may have a portion overlapping each other, and the coupling element may extend over all or part of the overlapping portion and over only part of the profile or over only part of the connector. For example, at the overlapping portion, the connector may be sandwiched (or sandwiched) between the coupling element and the profile, and the coupling element may extend partially over only the profile. In another example, at the overlapping portion, the profile may be sandwiched (or sandwiched) between the coupling element and the connector, and the coupling element may extend partially over only the connector. An adhesive seal may be provided between the profile and the connector, in the overlapping portion, to provide a watertight seal.

[0007] The mechanical coupling may be only in the first direction, or in the first direction and one or more other directions. The first direction may be the axial direction of the channel formed by the profile. The other directions may be the other two axial directions perpendicular to the first direction. Hereinafter and unless otherwise indicated, by "the first direction" is meant "the at least one first direction"

[0008] The mechanical coupling portion is a portion of the coupling element that allows coupling of the coupling element with the first element in the first direction. In other words, the coupling element prohibits movements relative (other than any relative movements resulting from manufacturing tolerances) between the coupling element and the first element, in the first direction.

[0009] The stop portion is configured to allow a limited relative movement in the first direction between the coupling element and the second element. Beyond a predetermined relative movement in the first direction in a first direction or in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the stop portion is configured to block the relative movement respectively in the first direction or in the second direction, and couple respectively in the first direction or in the second direction, the coupling element with the second element. Below the predetermined relative movement, the stop portion allows a relative movement in the first direction or in the second direction between the coupling element and the second element

[0010] Thus, the combination of the mechanical coupling portion and the stop portion can allow, on the one hand, relative movements between the connector and the profile which are permissible by an adhesive seal between the profile and the connector, and on the other hand, prohibit excessive relative movements likely to damage the adhesive seal. This can thus limit the internal mechanical stresses in the connector and in the profile while preserving the adhesive seal.

[0011] In some embodiments, the mechanical coupling portion is configured to cooperate by form complementarity with the first element, for example comprises a groove configured to cooperate with a relief of a thermal expansion compensator of the first element, for example a relief of a thermal expansion compensator of the gutter profile connection.

[0012] For example, the relief may be a fold (or undulation) of an accordion-shaped portion forming a thermal expansion compensator. According to another example, the relief may be a connecting bead between an elastomer portion forming a thermal expansion compensator and a portion made from another material.

[0013] Such a shape-matching cooperation configuration can allow easy assembly of the coupling element with the first element, and reliable coupling between the coupling element and the first element. Such reliability can allow increased preservation of the adhesive joint over time.

[0014] In some embodiments, the stop portion may comprise a slider extending in the first direction and configured to engage in a groove of the second element, for example in a groove of the gutter profile.

[0015] For example, the groove may be formed by a rim or a hem of the gutter profile. For example, the groove may extend in the first direction.

[0016] The cursor may have an elongated shape in the first direction and / or an angular shape. For example, the cursor may have a rectangular shape, the long side of the rectangular shape extending parallel to the first direction.

[0017] When the profile is mounted on a building, the thermal expansions between the visible face of the gutter profile and the building-side face (or hidden face) of the gutter profile are not strictly identical, not only because of the exposure to the sun which may be different, but also because of the anchors of the profile on the building. In combination with the differential expansions between the connection and the profile, these differences in deformation between the visible face and the hidden face of the profile induce a sort of warping of the profile and the connection, inducing a relative rotational movement of the coupling element with respect to the profile and the connection. When it becomes too large, this relative rotational movement allows the cursor to position itself across (or at an angle or even crab-like) within the groove, and to block the relative movements between the coupling element and the second element. When the temperature drops and the thermal expansion differentials decrease, the cursor returns to a position substantially aligned with the groove, and again allows relative movements between the coupling element and the second element.

[0018] In some embodiments, the coupling element may include a prestressing portion configured to exert a pressure prestress on the gutter profile connector and / or the gutter profile.

[0019] Such a prestressing portion can make it possible to exert a pressing force (or pressure) in an overlapping portion between the connection and the profile where the adhesive seal is arranged. This can make it possible to reinforce the adhesion of the adhesive seal to the connection and to the profile, thanks to which the strength of the seal can be reinforced and made more reliable over time.

[0020] In some embodiments, the prestressing portion may comprise at least one spring-forming blade.

[0021] Hereinafter and unless otherwise indicated, by “the blade” is meant “the at least one blade forming a spring”.

[0022] Such a blade may be relatively simple to manufacture, may provide some ease of assembly to the coupling element, and may reliably provide prestressing. Such reliability may allow for increased preservation of the adhesive joint over time.

[0023] In some embodiments, the coupling element may have an overall "U" shape and be configured to be mounted within a channel formed by the gutter profile and the gutter profile connector, the first direction being perpendicular to a plane comprising the three legs of the "U" shape.

[0024] By "overall U-shape" is meant that overall the shape has a general U-shape, regardless of any local elements or other details that might not fit strictly into a shape strictly in “U”.

[0025] The plane containing the three branches of the “U” shape is the plane of the “U”, containing a “U” section.

[0026] For example, the horizontal leg of the "U" may be configured to cooperate with the bottom of the gutter channel, and the vertical legs of the "U" may be configured to cooperate with the side walls of the gutter channel.

[0027] Such a shape of the coupling element can make it possible to match the shape of the profile and the connection inside the channel formed by the profile and the connection, and cooperation by complementarity of homogeneous shape over an entire transverse section of the profile and the connection. This can in particular allow a homogeneous distribution of the coupling forces and the possible pressure prestress, which can improve the strength of the joint between the profile and the connection.

[0028] In some embodiments, the prestressing portion may extend over at least 90% of the total length of the legs of the "U" shape.

[0029] For example, the at least one blade may extend at least 90% of the total length of the legs of the "U" shape.

[0030] This can allow a homogeneous distribution of the prestressing forces in pressure, which can improve the strength of the joint between the profile and the connection.

[0031] In some embodiments, the mechanical coupling portion may extend at least 90% of the total length of the legs of the "U" shape.

[0032] For example, the groove configured to cooperate with a relief of a thermal expansion compensator may extend over at least 90% of the total length of the legs of the "U" shape.

[0033] This can allow a homogeneous distribution of the coupling forces, which can improve the strength of the joint between the profile and the connector.

[0034] In some embodiments, the mechanical coupling portion and the prestressing portion may be disposed on opposite sides of the "U" shape relative to a median plane comprising the three legs of the "U" shape.

[0035] In other words, the mechanical coupling portion and the prestressing portion may be arranged on opposite sides of the coupling element in the first direction.

[0036] Such a configuration can allow a better distribution of the coupling and prestressing forces under pressure, a better maintenance in position of the coupling element within the connection and the profile, which can improve the strength of the joint between the profile and the connection.

[0037] In some embodiments, the stop portion may be disposed at a free end of one of the two vertical branches of the “U” shape.

[0038] This can allow the stop portion to be positioned where the warping effects can be particularly important, which can improve the effectiveness of the stop portion, and therefore improve the strength of the joint between the profile and the fitting.

[0039] In some embodiments, the coupling element may be made of a single piece.

[0040] This can provide a certain stiffness to the coupling element, which can improve its cooperation with the profile and with the connection, and therefore the strength of the joint.

[0041] In some embodiments, the coupling member may include a flap portion configured to sandwich the gutter profile connector and the gutter profile.

[0042] Such a flap can allow pre-assembly with the connector and the profile before the installation of this pre-assembly on the building. Such a pre-assembly can allow good maintenance in relative position of the coupling element, the profile and the connector during installation, to ensure the effectiveness of the interaction between the coupling element, the profile and the connector, and therefore to improve the strength of the joint.

[0043] In some embodiments, the coupling element may be comprised of two or three separate pieces configured to forcefully engage one another within a channel formed by the gutter profile and the gutter profile connector.

[0044] In other words, the coupling element may comprise only two separate parts, or only three separate parts.

[0045] Such a coupling element in two or three separate pieces can be particularly suitable for easy assembly when the profile and the connector are already mounted on the building, without being hindered by the roof which overhangs above the gutter and obstructs access to the channel formed by the connector and the profile. The force-fit assembly can ensure adequate positioning of the coupling element within the channel formed by the connector and the profile. Such ease of installation can ensure the effectiveness of the interaction between the coupling element, the profile and the connector, and therefore improve the strength of the joint.

[0046] One embodiment relates to an assembly comprising a coupling element according to any one of the embodiments described herein, a gutter profile and a gutter profile connector.

[0047] The assembly can form a kit, the coupling element, the profile and the connector being separate, or form a pre-assembly before the building is installed, or form an assembly placed on the building.

[0048] In some embodiments, the gutter profile may be made of a metallic material and the gutter profile connector may be made of a polymeric (or plastic) material.

[0049] The metallic material may be, for example, aluminum, zinc, steel or copper. For example, the polymeric (or plastic) material may be a mixture containing a base polymer, with a possible filler, which is capable of being molded, shaped, generally hot and / or under pressure, in order to lead to a part. The coupling element according to the present disclosure may be particularly suitable for assemblies between a metal profile and a connection made of polymeric material.

[0050] In some embodiments, the gutter profile connector or the gutter profile may be provided with an adhesive seal configured to form a watertight seal between the gutter profile connector and the gutter profile, for example the adhesive seal being made of butyl sealant or polyurethane sealant or silane modified polymer or silane modified polyether or silane modified polyurethane or silicone sealant or acrylic sealant or neoprene or methacrylate glue, or double-sided adhesive tape, for example double-sided adhesive waterproof foam tape, or any combination of two or more of these materials.

[0051] Thanks to the coupling element, the stresses in the adhesive joint are minimized and the latter can be reliable and robust while being manufactured in the diversity of the above materials, and in minimal quantity, which makes it possible to reduce the environmental impact linked to the use of such joint materials.

[0052] In some embodiments, the coupling member, the gutter profile and / or the gutter profile connector may be coupled together with a point fastener disposed on a vertical leg of the "U" shape of the coupling member.

[0053] The coupling element may be attached to the profile only, to the connector only, or to both the profile and the connector.

[0054] For example, the point fixing may be a screw, a rivet, a point of glue or mastic, or may result from clinching or riveting.

[0055] Such a point fixing makes it possible to improve the holding in position of the coupling element and makes it possible to avoid possible accidental disengagement of the coupling element. This improves the reliability of the assembly, and therefore the resistance of the joint over time.

[0056] For example, the point fixing may be arranged on a free end portion of a vertical branch of the “U” shape extending over 25% of the total length of the vertical branch from the free end of the vertical branch. Such an arrangement may make it possible to avoid any risk of water leakage in a lower portion of the channel formed by the profile and the connector, which would counteract the sealing sought with the seal.

[0057] In some embodiments, the point fixing may be arranged on a vertical branch of the "U" different from the vertical branch of the "U" carrying the stop portion, for example the point fixing being arranged on a wall of the gutter profile configured to be arranged on the side of a building.

[0058] In other words, the point fixing can be on one vertical branch of the "U" and the stop portion on the other branch of the "U". Such a configuration can make it possible to induce a lever effect between the fixing point and the stop portion, which can improve the reliability and effectiveness of the stop portion, and therefore improve the reliability and strength of the joint.

[0059] Arranging the fixing on the side of the hidden face of the profile when it is mounted on the building (i.e. the face of the profile arranged on the side of the building) helps to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the gutter.

[0060] In some embodiments, the coupling member may be a single piece and include a flap portion, the gutter profile, the gutter profile connector, and the coupling member may be preassembled together, and the flap portion may sandwich the gutter profile connector and the gutter profile. [0070] [Fig.l] shows a building 200 provided with a roof 210, on which a gutter 50 is mounted. In this example, the gutter 50 comprises two gutter profiles 20 connected together via a gutter profile connector 30, integrated generally arranged in this example inside the profiles 20. In this example, the connector 30 is a corner connector, but may, according to a variant, be a straight connector. A cap 60 may be provided in order to completely mask the presence of the connector 30 from the outside. Two coupling elements 10 are arranged inside the channel 70 formed by the profiles 20 and the connector 30, and each couple a profile 20 with one end of the connector 30. Each profile 20 has a side 20A configured to be visible when the profile 20 is mounted on a building (or visible side 20A), and a side 20B configured to be arranged on the side of a building when the profile 20 is mounted on a building (or hidden side 20B).

[0071] [Fig.2] represents an exploded view of an assembly 100 comprising the connector 30, a profile 20 and a coupling element 10. In this example, the following description of the assembly 100 also applies to the assembly comprising the connector 30, the other profile 20 and the other coupling element 10 of [Fig. 1].

[0072] The connector 30 has two connector portions 30A, each configured to connect to a profile 20. Within an assembly 100, the profile 20, the connector element 10 and one of the two connector portions 30A all extend in a length direction X, a width direction Y and a height direction Z. The profile 20, the connector element 10 and the connector portion 30A all have in this example a cross-section, perpendicular to the length direction X, of a shape complementary to each other and configured to cooperate together by shape complementarity. In this example, the profile 20 and the connector 30 have a cross-section of an overall “U” shape.

[0073] In this example, the profile 20 may be made of metallic material, for example aluminum, and the connector 30A may be made of polymeric material, for example PVC (polyvinyl chloride).

[0074] When assembled (see also [Fig.5]), the connector 30 and the profile 20 may have a portion P overlapping each other. The coupling element 10 may extend over a portion PI of the overlapping portion and over a portion P2 of the profile 20 only. In the portion PI, the connector 30 is sandwiched between the coupling element 10 and the profile 20.

[0075] The portion of the connector 30 sandwiched in the portion PI between the coupling element 10 and the profile 20 may have an adhesive seal 32 configured to form a watertight seal between the gutter profile connector 30 and the gutter profile 20. In this example, the adhesive seal 32 may be made of butyl sealant. Alternatively, the seal may be disposed on the profile 20 and / or be made of another material, for example polyurethane sealant or silane-modified polymer or silane-modified polyether or silicone or acrylic sealant or neoprene or methacrylate glue, or double-sided adhesive tape, for example adhesive waterproof foam tape double-sided.

[0076] The coupling element 10 will now be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5. The coupling element 10 is configured to couple a gutter profile connector 30 and a gutter profile 20 in at least a first direction, in this example the first direction coinciding with the length direction X. The coupling element 10 comprises a mechanical coupling portion 12 configured to be mechanically coupled in translation in the at least one length direction X to a first element among the gutter profile 20 and the gutter profile connector 30. A stop portion 14 is configured to limit the relative movements in the length direction X of the second element among the gutter profile 20 and the gutter profile connector 30 with respect to the coupling element 10.

[0077] In this example, the coupling element 10 may have an overall “U” shape. It may be configured to be mounted inside a channel 70 formed by the gutter profile 20 and by the gutter profile connector 30. The length direction X may be perpendicular to a plane PP comprising the three branches of the “U” shape (see [Fig. 3]). In this example, the coupling element 10 has a “U” folded plate shape, and has a horizontal plate 10A, corresponding to the horizontal bar of the “U” shape and two vertical plates 10B and 10C corresponding to the two vertical bars of the “U”. The plate 10C may have a flap portion 10C1, configured to be folded to sandwich the profile 20 and the connector 30. In [Fig. 2] the flap portion 10C1 is deployed or unfolded. In Figures 2 and 5 the flap portion 10C1 is folded (and sandwiches the profile 20 and the connector 30 in [Fig.5]).The plate 10B can be configured to be arranged on the visible side 20A of the profile 20 and the plate 10C can be configured to be arranged on the hidden side 20B of the profile 20. The plate 10A is configured to be arranged on the bottom of the channel 70 formed by the profile 20 and the connector 30.

[0078] In this example, the mechanical coupling portion 12 may be configured to cooperate by form complementarity with the first element. The mechanical coupling portion 12 may comprise a groove 12A configured to cooperate with a relief 34A of a thermal expansion compensator 34 of the first element, in this example a relief 34A of a thermal expansion compensator 34 of the gutter profile connector 30. The relief 34A may be a fold of an accordion portion 34 forming a thermal expansion compensator. In other words, the compensator or accordion portion 34 may be more flexible than the rest of the connector 30 and may deform along the length direction X. The accordion portion 34 may be made of PVC that is more flexible than the rest of the connector 30, and may be overmolded onto the rest of the connector 30, which may be made of PVC that is more rigid than the PVC of the accordion portion. 34. In this example, the fold 34A may be the first fold of the accordion portion 34 starting from the free end 30B of the connector 30. As seen in [Fig.3], the groove 12A may extend over at least 90% of the total length of the legs of the “U” shape. The groove 12A may comprise several distinct groove portions, in the present example three groove portions 12A1, 12A2 and 12A3. In this example, each plate 10A, 10B, 10C of the coupling element 10, has on an edge extending in the width direction Y or in the height direction Z, a groove portion 12A1, 12A2, 12A3, all arranged on the same side in the length direction X relative to the rest of the plate 10A, 10B, 10C, and in continuity with each other in an overall “U” shape. With the exception of the flap portion 10C1, the portions 12A1, 12A2 and 12A3 extend respectively over almost the entire length of the plate 10A, 10B, 10C which carries them.In this example, once the flap portion is folded, the three portions 12A1, 12A2 and 12A3 extend over more than 90% of the total length of the plates 10A, 10B, 10C in the width direction Y and in the height direction Z. The relief 34A being inserted into the groove 12A, the connector 30 and the coupling element are coupled in translation in the length direction X.

[0079] In this example, the stop portion 14 comprises a slider 14A extending along the length direction X and configured to engage in a groove 22 of the second element, for example in a groove 22 of the gutter profile 20. In this example, the groove 22 is arranged on the side of the visible face 20A of the profile 20, and is formed by a rim or hem 20C of the visible face 20A. In other words, in this example, the groove 22 is formed in a rim of a free end along the height direction, opposite the bottom wall of the profile, of a side wall of the profile 20. In this example, the slider 14A has a rectangular shape, the long side C of the rectangular shape extending parallel to the length direction X. The rectangular shape extends substantially parallel to the length direction X and width direction Y.In other words, the plane formed by the large faces of the rectangular shape is substantially parallel to the directions of length X and width Y, and may have an inclination relative to the direction of height Z of up to plus or minus 15° angle. The slider 14A is arranged at a free end 10B1 of one of the two vertical branches of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10.

[0080] During the various relative movements induced by the thermal expansion differentials between the coupling element 10, the profile 20, the connector 30, a relative movement along the length direction X is authorized according to a predetermined amplitude in a first direction XI or in a second direction X2 opposite to the first direction XL. The slider 14A then slides along the length direction X within the groove 22 and the profile 20 is decoupled along the length direction X of the connector 30, which can deform the joint 32 in shear. However, when the thermal dilution differentials increase, a warping of the profile 20 and the connector 30 may appear, inducing a relative rotational movement R of the coupling element 10 around the height direction Z in particular with respect to the profile 20. This relative rotational movement R places the cursor 14A across within the groove 22, until it is blocked and prevents translational movements along the length direction X. This makes it possible to couple the profile 20 with the coupling element 10 along the length direction X, and therefore, via the coupling portion 12, to couple the profile 20 with the connector 30 along the length direction. This coupling makes it possible to protect the joint 32 from stresses / deformations greater than a predetermined amplitude likely to damage it.When the expansion differentials decrease, the slider 14A realigns itself within the groove 22, and again allows sliding in the length direction X, which makes it possible to avoid over-stressing the connection 30 and the profile 20.

[0081] The coupling element 10 may comprise a prestressing portion 16 configured to exert a pressure prestress on the gutter profile connection 30 and / or on the gutter profile 20. The prestressing portion 16 may comprise at least one spring blade, in this example three spring blades 16A1, 16A2, 16A3. The prestressing portion 16, in this example the blades 16A1, 16A2 and 16A3, can extend over at least 90% of the total length of the branches of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10. In this example, each plate 10A, 10B, 10C of the coupling element 10, respectively has on an edge extending in the width direction Y or in the height direction Z, a blade 16A1, 16A2, 16A3, all arranged on the same side in the length direction X relative to the rest of the plates 10A, 10B, 10C, and in continuity with each other in an overall “U” shape. With the exception of the flap portion 10C1, the blades 16A1, 16A2 and 16A3 extend over almost the entire length of the respective plate 10A, 10B, 10C which carries them. In this example, once the flap portion 10C1 is folded, the three blades 16A1, 16A2 and 16A3 extend over more than 90% of the total length of the plates 10A, 10B, 10C in the width direction Y and in the height direction Z.

[0082] As can be seen in Figures 3 and 5, the mechanical coupling portion 12 and the prestressing portion 16 can be arranged on opposite sides of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10, relative to a median plane PP comprising the three branches of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10. In this example, the coupling portion 12 and the prestressing portion 16 can be arranged on opposite sides of the coupling element 10 along the length direction X. In particular, each plate 10A, 10B, 10C can respectively bear on a first side Cl a portion of groove 12A1, 12A2, 12A3, all the portions of grooves 12A1, 12A2, 12A3 being arranged on the same side, and on a second side C2, opposite the first side C2 in the length direction X, a blade 16A1, 16A2, 16A3, all the blades 16A1, 16A2, 16A3 being arranged on the same side.

[0083] In this example, the spring blades 16A1, 16A2, 16A3 are configured to cooperate with the profile 20, so that by reaction, the remainder of the coupling element 10 can exert a pressure force on the portion of the connector 30 sandwiched between the coupling element 10 and the profile 20 and compresses the adhesive seal 32 (see [Fig.5]). The pressure force can also make it possible to lock the engagement of the groove portions 12A1, 12A2, 12A3 with the relief 34A.

[0084] The coupling element 10 may be made of metallic material, for example aluminum or steel, for example stainless steel. The coupling element may for example have a total length L along the length direction X equal to 40 mm. For example, the coupling element 10 may be manufactured by cutting / bending / stamping, for example from a metal sheet with a thickness of 0.6 mm. According to a variant, the coupling element may be made of polymeric material, for example filled, for example filled with fibers.

[0085] As can be seen in [Fig. 5], the coupling element 10, the gutter profile 20 and the gutter profile connector 30 can be coupled together with a point fastener 40 arranged on a vertical branch of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10. In this example, the point fastener is a screw 40. The screw 40 can for example also be engaged with the flap 10C1. The screw 40 can be arranged on a free end portion PE of a vertical branch of the “U” shape of the coupling element 10 extending over 25% of the total length of the vertical branch from the free end 10C2 of the vertical branch. In this example, the free end 10C2 is considered, after folding the flap 10C1.The screw 40 may be arranged on a vertical branch of the “U” different from the vertical branch of the “U” carrying the stop portion 14, for example the screw 40 being arranged on a wall 20B of the gutter profile 20 configured to be arranged on the side of the building 200. The screw 40 may be arranged on the plate 10C while the stop portion may be arranged on the plate 10B.

[0086] The coupling element 10 may be made of a single piece. To assemble the coupling element 10 to the profile 20 and to the connector 30, the connector 30 may first be placed within the profile 20. Then the slider 14A may be engaged within the groove 22 of the profile 20, and by pivoting the coupling element 10 around the slider 14A (around the length direction X) by engaging it in the groove 22 of the profile 20, the coupling element 10 is pressed against the bottom of the channel 70 formed by the profile 20 and the connector 30, by engaging the relief 34A in the groove 12A of the portion ofcoupling 12 and applying the prestressing portion 16 to the profile 12. It is also possible to pressurize, or prestress, the prestressing portion 16 by pressing the coupling element 10 against the profile 20 and the connector 30. The flap 10C1 can then be folded so as to sandwich the profile 20 and the connector 30, which will keep everything assembled. Then the point fixing 40 can be placed, but not necessarily. For example, these operations can be carried out to produce a pre-assembly, ready to be mounted on the building 200. For example, such a pre-assembly can be carried out with the two profiles 20 connected to the connector 30. Such a pre-assembly can facilitate the mounting of the gutter 50 when, for example, access to the interior of the channel 70 is hindered by the roof 210. For example, the point fixing 40 can be locked, for example the screw 40 can be blocked, after having mounted the pre-assembled assembly 100 on the building 200.According to a variant, when access allows, these operations of assembling the coupling element 10 can be carried out when the profile 20 and the connector 30 are already mounted on the building 200. The screw 40 being mounted on the hidden side 20B of the profile 20, it is not visible once the gutter 50 is installed on the building 200.

[0087] [Fig. 6] shows a coupling element 10' according to a second embodiment which differs from the coupling element according to the first embodiment 10 only in that it is devoid of the flap portion 10C1 and in that it is made up of two separate parts 10'1 and 10'2. In this example, the plate 10A carries the two tabs 11 at its free end opposite the plate 10C and the plate 10B carries the projection 13 at its free end opposite the stop portion 14. According to a variant not shown, the plate 10B may carry two retaining tabs and the plate 10A may carry an engagement projection.

[0089] To assemble the coupling element 10' to the profile 20 and to the connector 30, the connector 30 can first be arranged within the profile 20. Then the second part 10'2 can be arranged, by engaging the relief 34A in the groove portions 12A1 and 12A3, by applying the prestressing portion 16 to the profile 12, the plate 10C being arranged on the hidden side 20B of the profile 20. A pressure or pre constraint to prestress the prestress portion 16. The point fixing 40 can then be placed, for example to maintain the prestress. Then, the stop portion 14 can first be engaged within the groove 22 and, in a second step, the plate 10B can be tilted according to arrow B in [Fig. 6] around the stop portion (around the length direction X), so as to forcibly engage the projection 13 between the tabs 11 and bring the plate 10B into abutment against the tabs 11, to engage the relief 34A in the groove portion 12A2 and to apply the prestress portion 16 to the profile 12.

[0090] [Fig.7] shows a coupling element 10” according to a second embodiment which differs from the coupling element according to the first embodiment 10 only in that it is devoid of the flap portion 10C1 and in that it is made up of two separate parts 10” 1 and 10” 2. The plate 10B may comprise a locking projection 17, a space E configured to receive the free end 10A1 of the plate 10A opposite the plate 10C being arranged in the height direction Z between the tab 15 and the projection 17.

[0092] To assemble the coupling element 10'' to the profile 20 and to the connector 30, the connector 30 can first be arranged within the profile 20. The plate 10B is arranged on the side of the visible face 20A of the profile 20. Then, the second part 10”2 can be engaged in a translational movement in the height direction, according to the arrow T of [Fig.7] by engaging the relief 34A in the groove portions 12A1 and 12A3, by applying the prestressing portion 16 to the profile 12, and simultaneously forcibly engaging the free end 10A1 in the space E between the tongue 15 and the projection 17 of the first part 10'.The plate 10C is arranged on the hidden side 20B of the profile 20. Pressure or prestress can be applied to prestress the prestress portion 16. The point fixing 40 can then be installed, for example to maintain the prestress.

[0093] [Fig.8] represents a coupling element 10”' according to a third mode of realization lisation which differs from the coupling element according to the first embodiment 10 only in that it is devoid of the flap portion 10C1 and in that it is made up of three separate parts 10'” 1, 10'”2 and 10”'3. The junctions between the part 10' ” 1 and the part 10'”2 on the one hand and between the part 10'”2 and the part 10'”3 on the other hand may be similar to the junction between the part 10' 1 and the part 10'2 of the second embodiment, and are therefore not described again.

[0095] To assemble the coupling element 10' ” to the profile 20 and to the connector 30, the connector 30 can first be arranged within the profile 20. Then the second part 10”'2 can be arranged, by engaging the relief 34A in the groove portion 12A1 and by applying the prestressing portion 16 to the profile 12. Finally, the projection can be engaged 13 of the third part 10'”3 between the tabs 11 by engaging the relief 34A in the groove portion 12A3. The assembly of the part 10'” 1 and 10'”3 can be done in reverse order. Finally, pressure or prestress can be applied to prestress the prestress portion 16 and then the point fixing 40 can be installed, for example to maintain the prestress.

[0096] The coupling elements according to the embodiments 10', 10” and 10'” can be adapted to carry out these operations of assembling the coupling element when the profile 20 and the connector 30 are already mounted on the building 200, for example when the roof 210 hinders access to the interior of the channel 70.
