Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Deployable / collapsible shelter device
[0001] The present invention relates to a deployable / collapsible shelter device.
[0002] This invention will find its application mainly when it is a question of producing, quickly and easily, a shelter allowing people to be sheltered, in particular in the field of events.
[0003] In fact, the present invention relates to the field of manufacturing shelter devices configured, on the one hand, to be deployed in order to constitute a shelter from the sun or bad weather and, on the other hand, to be folded up for transport and storage.
[0004] Such shelter devices are already known which comprise, on the one hand, uprights which are configured to rest on the ground, on the other hand, a deformable skeleton which is mounted on the uprights and, on the other hand, a roof, which surmounts said deformable skeleton and the uprights, and which comprises at least one frame as well as at least one covering which covers the frame.
[0005] Such a shelter device then comprises a framework which may comprise a mast which, in the deployed configuration of the shelter device, extends from the deformable skeleton and above this deformable skeleton, in particular vertically. It is, more particularly, above this mast that the roof covering is stretched. The presence of such a mast leads to a certain number of drawbacks.
[0006] First of all, in order to withstand the stresses exerted by the cover stretched over this mast, this mast must have structural resistance characteristics which mean that this mast represents a significant weight. In addition, the shelter device must include means for fixing this mast to the skeleton and / or means allowing deployment / folding of this mast. Here again, the presence of these means represents a significant weight. It follows that the presence of this mast and its environment contributes substantially to the weight of the shelter device and considerably increases the weight of this shelter device.
[0007] Furthermore and as mentioned above, in the deployed configuration of the shelter device, this mast extends from the deformable skeleton and above this deformable skeleton, more particularly vertically. In this regard, it will be observed that, to bring this mast into its deployed / folded configuration, it is appropriate to manipulate this mast in a particular and additional manner compared to the deployment / folding of the rest of the shelter device. This results in an additional time-consuming and difficult step, in particular due to the configuration and / or the size of the deformable skeleton, which is detrimental to the simplicity and speed of the deployment / folding of the shelter device as a whole.
[0008] Finally, the presence of such a mast makes it possible to give the roof a single, unique shape.
[0009] The present invention aims to remedy, at least in part, the drawbacks of the shelter devices of the state of the art.
[0010] To this end, the invention relates to a deployable / foldable shelter device comprising, on the one hand, uprights which comprise a lower part intended to rest on the ground and an upper part, on the other hand, a deformable skeleton which is mounted on the upper part of the uprights and, on the other hand, a roof which surmounts said deformable skeleton and the uprights. This deployable / foldable shelter device is characterized in that said roof comprises at least one inflatable element which rests at least on at least one of said uprights and / or on the deformable skeleton and / or on another inflatable element.
[0011] According to a first type of embodiment, on the one hand, the roof comprises at least one dome or at least one section and, on the other hand, said at least one dome or said at least one section comprises said at least one inflatable element.
[0012] According to a second type of embodiment, on the one hand, the roof comprises a frame as well as at least one covering which covers the frame and, on the other hand, at least said frame comprises said at least one inflatable element.
[0013] Another feature relates to the fact that the deployable / foldable shelter device comprises association means which are configured to associate said at least one inflatable element and said at least one cover.
[0014] In particular, the association means comprise at least one housing, which comprises said at least one cover, and inside which said at least one inflatable element is housed.
[0015] According to another characteristic, the association means comprise assembly means, in particular reversible, which are configured to assemble, in particular reversibly, said at least one cover and said at least one inflatable element.
[0016] Yet another feature relates to the fact that the association means comprise fixing means which are configured to fix said at least one inflatable element on said at least one cover.
[0017] Another characteristic relates to the fact that the deployable / foldable shelter device comprises, on the one hand, at least one main inflatable element which is configured to be associated with an inflation means, on the other hand, at least one accessory inflatable element and, on the other hand, connection means which are configured to pneumatically connect said main inflatable element and said at least one accessory inflatable element.
[0018] According to another characteristic, the deployable / foldable shelter device comprises fixing means which are configured to fix the roof to the deformable skeleton and / or to the uprights.
[0019] Thus, the deployable / foldable shelter device comprises at least one inflatable element that the roof comprises.
[0020] The presence of such an inflatable element advantageously makes it possible to substantially lighten the roof and, thus, the entire deployable / foldable shelter device.
[0021] In addition, and in the deflated configuration of such an inflatable element, such an inflatable element has a small footprint which allows, advantageously and in the folded configuration of the deployable / foldable shelter device, to house the roof inside the deformable skeleton. In addition, such an inflatable element is easy to implement (more particularly to inflate and deflate) as well as to replace (in particular in the event of damage). Additionally, appropriate inflation of such an inflatable element makes it possible to put the roof under optimal tension as well as to confer sufficient rigidity to the roof, or even to the entire deployable / foldable shelter device.
[0022] Additionally, the presence of one or more inflatable elements as well as the multiplicity of possibilities for their arrangement advantageously makes it possible to give the roof (and, thus, the entire deployable / foldable shelter device) a multiplicity of diverse and varied, even complex, shapes.
[0023] Yet another feature relates to the fact that the deployable / foldable shelter device comprises fixing means which are configured to fix the roof to the deformable skeleton and / or to the uprights. Such fixing means may be of the reversible type which advantageously allows the roof to be detached, more particularly for the purpose of replacing it, cleaning it or repairing it. This advantageously allows, while retaining the rest of the deployable / foldable shelter device (in particular the deformable skeleton and the uprights), to replace the roof with another roof, in particular with another identical roof or with another roof of, as the case may be, identical, similar or different shape, this according to needs (in particular in the event of deterioration) and / or desires (in particular when a different shape is desired).
[0024] Finally, the presence of at least one inflatable element allows, advantageously and by influencing the inflation, to give the roof a semi-rigid character which advantageously allows this roof to better resist the wind and better absorb gusts of wind. When this roof combines a covering (which is deformable) and at least one inflatable element (which can be rigid), said roof has, here again, a semi-rigid character which provides the same advantages as those mentioned above.
[0025] Other aims and advantages of the present invention will appear during the description which follows relating to embodiments which are given only as indicative and non-limiting examples.

[0037] The present invention relates to the field of manufacturing deployable / foldable shelter devices which are configured, on the one hand, to be deployed in order to provide shelter from the sun and / or bad weather and, on the other hand, to be folded for transport and / or storage.
[0038] The invention then relates to a deployable / foldable shelter device 1 which, for reasons of simplification, will be referred to as “shelter device 1” in the remainder of the description.
[0039] Such a shelter device 1 comprises uprights 2 which comprise, on the one hand, a lower part 20 intended to rest on the ground and, on the other hand, an upper part 21.
[0040] Such uprights 2 are preferably of the deployable / foldable type, more particularly telescopically.
[0041] Such a shelter device 1 also comprises a skeleton 3, which is deformable, and which is mounted on the upper part 21 of the uprights 2.
[0042] This deformable skeleton 3 comprises, on the one hand, at least one spar 4 which comprises arms 40 and, on the other hand, at least one crosspiece 5 which also comprises arms 50.
[0043] Furthermore, this deformable skeleton 3 comprises at least one articulation means 6 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) in an articulated manner, depending on the case, relative to at least one other arm (40; 50) or relative to one of the uprights 2.
[0044] In this regard, it will be observed that such an articulation means 6 may be a scissor articulation means 60 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) that comprises said at least one spar 4, respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5, this in an articulated manner relative to (more particularly on) at least one other arm (40; 50) that comprises said at least one spar 4, respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5, more particularly in the central part of such an arm (40; 50).
[0045] Alternatively or additionally, such an articulation means 6 may be an umbrella articulation means 61 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) that comprises said at least one spar 4 or that comprises said at least one cross member 5, this in an articulated manner relative to at least one other arm 40 that comprises said at least one spar 4 and / or relative to at least one other arm 50 that comprises said at least one cross member 5, more particularly at the level of one end of such an arm (40; 50).A particular embodiment illustrated in the appended figures consists in that such an umbrella-shaped articulation means 61 is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) that comprises said at least one spar 4 (respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5), this in an articulated manner relative to at least one other arm (40; 50) that comprises said at least one spar 4 (respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5) as well as relative to at least one other arm 50 that comprises said at least one cross member 5 (respectively that comprises said at least one spar 4), more particularly at the level of one end of such an arm (40; 50).
[0046] Alternatively, such an articulation means 6 may be a pivoting articulation means 62 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) that said at least one side member 4 or said at least one cross member 5 comprises, this in an articulated manner by pivoting relative to one of the uprights 2 (more particularly on one of the uprights 2).
[0047] In this regard, it will be observed that such an articulation means 6 (more particularly an umbrella articulation means 61) then comprises, on the one hand, a base 63, on the other hand, at least one articulation member 64 which is configured to mount at least one arm (40; 50), more particularly that comprises said at least one spar 4 (respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5), in pivoting on the base 63 and, on the other hand again, at least one other articulation member which is configured to mount at least one other arm (40; 50), more particularly that comprises said at least one spar 4 (respectively that comprises said at least one cross member 5) in pivoting on the base 63.Additionally, such an articulation means 6 may also comprise at least one additional articulation member 66 which is configured to mount at least one other arm (50; 40), more particularly that comprises said at least one crosspiece 5 (respectively that comprises said at least one side member 4) in pivoting on the base 63.
[0048] According to another characteristic, the shelter device 1 comprises a roof 7, which surmounts said deformable skeleton 3 and the uprights 2, and which is fixed on said skeleton 3 and / or on the uprights 2 as will be described in more detail below. Such a roof 7 may comprise at least one dome (or even a plurality of domes) or at least one section (or even a plurality of sections).
[0049] According to the invention, said roof 7 comprises at least one inflatable element 70 which rests at least on at least one of said uprights 2 and / or on the deformable skeleton 3 and / or on another inflatable element 70.
[0050] According to a first type of embodiment not shown, in the roof 7, said at least one dome or said at least one panel comprises said at least one inflatable element 70.
[0051] According to a first embodiment, said at least one dome comprises said at least one inflatable element 70, or is even constituted by said at least one inflatable element 70.
[0052] A particular embodiment consists in that said at least one dome comprises a plurality of inflatable elements 70, or even is constituted by a plurality of inflatable elements 70.
[0053] It will be observed that, when the roof 7 comprises a plurality of domes, at least a portion of these domes (or even all of these domes) comprises at least one inflatable element 70, or even is constituted by at least one such inflatable element 70.
[0054] According to another embodiment, said at least one panel comprises said at least one inflatable element 70, or is even constituted by said at least one inflatable element 70.
[0055] A particular embodiment consists in that said at least one panel comprises a plurality of inflatable elements 70, or even is constituted by a plurality of inflatable elements 70.
[0056] It will be observed that, when the roof 7 comprises a plurality of sections, at least a portion of these sections (or even all of these sections) comprises at least one inflatable element 70, or even is constituted by at least one such inflatable element 70.
[0057] According to a second type of embodiment illustrated in the appended figures, said roof 7 comprises, on the one hand, a framework 8, more particularly which surmounts the skeleton 3 and / or the uprights 2, or even which rests on this skeleton 3 and / or on these uprights 2, and, on the other hand, at least one covering 9, which covers the framework 8, or even against which said framework 8 rests.
[0058] In such a type of embodiment, at least said frame 8 comprises said at least one inflatable element 70, or is even constituted (at least in part) by said at least one inflatable element 70.
[0059] With regard to said cover 9 and according to a first variant, said cover 9 may be made of a textile material, more particularly of fabric.
[0060] Said at least one inflatable element 70, which comprises said frame 8, when inflated, can then bear against said at least one cover 9 which advantageously makes it possible to put such a cover 9 under tension.
[0061] However, and according to another variant, said at least one cover 9 may also comprise at least one inflatable element 70, or even be constituted (at least in part) by at least one such inflatable element 70. Inflation of said at least one inflatable element 70 then makes it possible to put this cover 9 under tension.
[0062] According to another characteristic, said at least one inflatable element 70 is associated with said at least one cover 9. To do this, the shelter device 1 comprises association means 10 which are configured to associate said at least one inflatable element 70 and said at least one cover 9.
[0063] According to a first type of embodiment, the association means 10 comprise at least one housing, which comprises said at least one cover 9, and inside which said at least one inflatable element 70 is housed. Such a housing may take the form of a sheath or the like.
[0064] According to a second type of embodiment (not shown), the association means 10 comprise assembly means, in particular reversible, which are configured to assemble, in particular reversibly, said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70.
[0065] Such assembly means may, in particular, be configured to reversibly assemble said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70 and, thus, achieve a reversible assembly of said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70. Such a reversible assembly then allows said at least one inflatable element 70 to be removable and, if necessary, to detach said at least one inflatable element 70 from said at least one cover 9, in particular with a view to removing it from the shelter device 1, for example for replacing it in the event of deterioration.
[0066] According to a first embodiment of such a second type of embodiment, these assembly means comprise a zipper which comprises, on the one hand, a first part which is integral with said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9) and, on the other hand, a second part, which is configured to cooperate with the first part, and which is integral with said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70).
[0067] However, and according to a second embodiment of such a second type of embodiment, the assembly means comprise at least one press stud which comprises, on the one hand, a male part which is integral with said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9), respectively which is integral with said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70), and, on the other hand, a female part, which cooperates with the male part, and which is integral with said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70), respectively which is integral with said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9).
[0068] Finally and according to a third type of embodiment, the association means 10 comprise fixing means which are configured to fix said at least one inflatable element 70 on said at least one cover 9. Such fixing means can take the form of a seam, at least one staple, glue or the like.
[0069] According to another characteristic, said at least one inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 and / or from one of said uprights 2 and / or from another inflatable element 70 and, on the other hand, as far as, depending on the case, the deformable skeleton 3, another of said uprights 2 or another inflatable element 70.
[0070] In this regard, it will be observed that, in figures [Fig.l] and [Fig.2], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 or from another inflatable element 70 and, on the other hand, to another inflatable element 70.
[0071] In figures [Fig.3], [Fig.4] and [Fig.6], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 and, on the other hand, to another inflatable element 70.
[0072] In the figure [Fig.5], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 and, on the other hand, to the deformable skeleton 3, to another of said uprights 2 or to another inflatable element 70.
[0073] Yet another feature (not shown) relates to the fact that the shelter device 1 comprises, on the one hand, at least one main inflatable element 70 which is configured to be associated with an inflation means (more particularly in the form of a pump, a compressor or the like), on the other hand, at least one accessory inflatable element 70 and, on the other hand, connection means (more particularly in the form of a tube, a pipe or the like) which are configured to pneumatically connect said main inflatable element 70 and said at least one accessory inflatable element 70. Such a configuration advantageously makes it possible, by inflating the main inflatable element 70, to also inflate the accessory inflatable element 70 at the same time.
[0074] As mentioned above, the roof 7 is fixed to said skeleton 3 and / or to the uprights 2. To do this, the shelter device 1 comprises fixing means 11 which are configured to fix the roof 7 to the deformable skeleton 3 and / or to the uprights 2.
[0075] In fact, these fixing means 11 are, more particularly, configured to fix the framework 8 and / or the covering 9 (which this roof 7 comprises) on the deformable skeleton 3 and / or on the uprights 2, more particularly on the upper part 21 of these uprights 2.
[0076] As mentioned above, the deformable skeleton 3 comprises, on the one hand, at least one spar 4 which comprises arms 40, on the other hand, at least one cross member 5 which comprises arms 50 and, on the other hand, at least one articulation means 6 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) in an articulated manner, as the case may be, relative to at least one other arm (40; 50) or relative to one of the uprights 2.
[0077] Also and according to a particular embodiment, the fixing means 11 are configured to fix the roof 7 on said at least one articulation means 6 which the deformable skeleton 3 comprises.
[0078] According to a preferred embodiment, these fixing means 11 are configured to fix the covering 9 (which this roof 7 comprises) on said base 63 (which said at least one articulation means 6 comprises).
[0079] Additionally, said fixing means 11 are preferably of the reversible type. Such fixing means 11 then advantageously allow, to the roof 7 to be removable and to detach this roof 7 from the deformable skeleton 3 and / or from the uprights 2, more particularly for the purpose of cleaning, repairing or replacing this roof 7 (as the case may be, of the state of the art or in accordance with that which comprises the shelter device 1 according to the present invention when this roof 7 is degraded or unsuitable for the desire or use that the user wants to make of it) by another roof 7 in accordance with that which comprises the shelter device 1 according to the present invention, in particular identical or of a shape, as the case may be, identical, similar or different.
[0080] As mentioned above, the frame 8 rests on the skeleton 3 and / or on the uprights 2.
[0081] In this regard, it will be observed that it is, more particularly, said at least one inflatable element 70 (which the roof 7 comprises, more particularly the frame 8) which then bears at least on said at least one articulation means 6 (more particularly on said base 63 which such an articulation means 6 comprises) which the deformable skeleton 3 comprises, more particularly which comprises said at least one spar 4 or said at least one crosspiece 5 which this deformable skeleton 3 comprises.
[0082] Yet another feature concerns the fact that the shelter device 1 comprises a side skirt 12.
[0083] Such a side skirt 12 extends, on the one hand, from the roof 7 (more particularly from the covering 9 that this roof 7 comprises), on the other hand, in the extension of the roof 7 (more particularly in the extension of the covering 9), and, on the other hand again, on the periphery (more particularly external) of the deformable skeleton 3 and the uprights 2.
[0084] This side skirt 12 is configured to limit the deployment of the deformable skeleton 3.
[0085] Furthermore, such a side skirt 12 can be made of the same material as the cover 9.
[0086] Finally, the shelter device 1 can also be supplemented by at least one mast (not shown). Such a mast extends between, on the one hand, the deformable skeleton 3 and / or one of said uprights 2 and, on the other hand, the roof 7, more particularly the covering 9 and / or the framework 8, in particular said at least one inflatable element 70. Such a mast makes it possible to keep said at least one inflatable element 70 in place, in the event of excessive stresses on the shelter device 1. Such a mast is preferably of the removable type.
