Light module for motor vehicle

Abstract

The invention relates to a light module (1) for a motor vehicle, the light module (1) comprising a main light source (11) configured to generate light beams (RL1, RL2), a main guide (12) comprising means for collimating the light beams (RL1, RL2) so that they pass through an exit face (121) of the main guide (12) in a main direction (O1), the main guide (12) comprising a step (122) forming a blind volume not directly traversed by the light beams (RL1, RL2) coming directly from the main light source (11) through the main guide (12), so that a blind part (1212) of the exit face (121) located opposite the blind volume is not traversed by said light beams (RL1, RL2) passing through the main guide (12) from the main light source (11).According to the invention, the light module (1) comprises an additional guide (13) whose exit surface (132) is located opposite the step (122), the additional guide (13) being configured to direct light rays (RL1, RL2) propagating in said additional guide (13) so that they pass through the exit surface (132) of said additional guide (13) in the principal direction (O1) and towards the blind portion (1212) of the exit face (121) of the main guide (12), through the blind volume of said main guide (12). Claims

8. Light module (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the additional guide (13) comprises a guide portion (130) located between the entry surface (131) and the direct transmission means (133), the guide portion (130) extending parallel to a face opposite the main guide (12).

9. Light module (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the at least one main light source (11) is optically coupled to the main guide (12) and to the additional guide (13).

Light module (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, in which the at least one main light source (11) comprises a plurality of light sources (111, 112) of which a first light source (111) is associated with the main guide (12) and of which a second light source (112) is associated with the additional guide (13).
