Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A DASHBOARD COMPRISING A HOLLOW BODY COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL BATTERY
[0001] The invention relates to the electrical recharging of an electrically powered motor vehicle.
[0002] Known from the prior art is a patent application FR3055257 describing a dashboard, or instrument panel, comprising a telematics box. A telematics box is a physical element capable of collecting data concerning the geolocation of the vehicle to which it is connected, information concerning the driving of a user of said vehicle or, for example, information concerning the fuel consumption of said vehicle. The telematics box is therefore located in the dashboard, under a removable decorative part. The telematics box comprises an access cover, the opening of which allows access to electricity storage means. The access cover is only visible when said decorative part is removed. The electricity storage means are batteries or cells which distribute the energy necessary for the operation of said telematics box. Disadvantages remain.Firstly, it is necessary for the user to dismantle the said decorative part to access the access hood. Then the access hood must be opened in order to change the said electricity storage means. There are therefore several manipulations to be carried out in order to replace the batteries or cells, which can cause difficulties for the user in charge of this replacement. Secondly, the batteries and cells generate an electric current allowing the operation of the said telematics box, which is a particularly important element for the proper functioning of a vehicle. Indeed, if the fuel gauge is no longer visible to the driver because the batteries or cells are discharged, then he could drive until the said fuel is exhausted. The engine is therefore no longer in working order and the vehicle is immobilized.
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing easy access to additional batteries to facilitate their replacement if necessary.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes an electrically powered motor vehicle comprising a dashboard and a main battery, said vehicle comprising at least one hollow body in said dashboard, said dashboard comprising a hatch giving access to the interior of said hollow body, said hollow body including at least one additional battery.
[0005] Thanks to the invention, the vehicle benefits from an additional electrical energy generator, in addition to the electrical energy supplied by said main battery.
[0006] Preferably, said hatch and said additional battery are in contact when said hatch is closed, said contact between said hatch and said additional battery generating a transmission of electrical energy.
[0007] Thus, the simple closing of said hollow body by said hatch allows the transmission of electrical energy.
[0008] Advantageously, said hollow body has a cylindrical structure and said at least one additional battery has a cylindrical structure.
[0009] A cylindrical structure allows the easy integration of said hollow body into said dashboard, while said hollow body can accommodate said additional batteries having a similar structure.
[0010] Advantageously, said hollow body has a length of between 50 cm and 200 cm.
[0011] A dashboard of a standard vehicle reaches a maximum length of approximately 200 cm. Thus, said hollow body is easily arranged in said dashboard.
[0012] Advantageously, said hollow body has a section whose diameter is between 4 cm and 10 cm.
[0013] This diameter allows the easy insertion of said additional batteries while allowing the housing of said hollow body in said dashboard.
[0014] Preferably, the hollow body having a longitudinal axis, said dashboard forming a plane, and the axis being parallel to said plane.
[0015] Thus, this configuration allows the arrangement of said hollow body in the dashboard regardless of its length.
[0016] Advantageously, said vehicle comprises at least one window, said at least one additional battery supplying electrical energy to a system allowing the opening and closing of said electric window of said vehicle.
[0017] Thus, the electrical energy generated does not cause damage if the additional batteries are discharged. The main battery of said vehicle therefore does not have to provide electrical energy for the opening and closing system of said window, which consequently increases the autonomy of said vehicle.
[0018] Preferably, said hatch is fixed to said hollow body by a hinge.
[0019] A hinge ensures the mobility of said hatch to open or close access to said additional batteries.
[0020] Preferably, said hollow body comprises at least three additional batteries.
[0021] Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method for installing an additional battery for an electrically powered motor vehicle previously described, said method comprises the following steps: - a step of opening said hatch; - a step of inserting said at least one additional battery into said hollow body; - a step of closing said hatch.
[0022] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a longitudinal section of a hollow body according to one embodiment of the invention; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates, in the form of a flowchart, a process for installing additional batteries for an electrically powered vehicle according to the invention.
[0023] [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a longitudinal section of a hollow body. The hollow body 1 is shown in a cylindrical structure, but this is a non-limiting example. The hollow body 1 comprises three additional batteries 2. The hollow body 1 comprises a hatch 3 giving access to the interior of said hollow body 1. The hatch 3 is fixed to said hollow body 1 by means of a hinge 4. Thus, the hinge 4 allows the opening and closing of said hatch 3. The hollow body 1 is in a dashboard of an electrically powered motor vehicle. The hollow body 1 has a longitudinal axis A. The dashboard forms a plane and said axis A is arranged parallel to said plane. The electrically powered vehicle is an electric vehicle. Alternatively, said electrically powered vehicle is a hybrid vehicle.Preferably, the hatch 3 is accessible from the passenger compartment of said vehicle so that the exchange of additional batteries 2 is easy when said additional batteries 2 are discharged. The vehicle comprises a main battery necessary for the operating state of said vehicle, that is to say for the generation of a thrust force. The addition of additional batteries 2 makes it possible to provide a new source of electrical energy to said vehicle. Preferably, the electrical energy generated by said additional batteries 2 supplies electrical energy to a system for opening and closing a window of said vehicle. For example, the electrical energy generated by said additional batteries 2 can be used for opening and closing the windows. Thus, the electricity generated by the main battery is not used for the operation of the dispensable element, which consequently increases the autonomy of said vehicle.Advantageously, said hollow body 1 has a length of between 50 cm and 200 cm so that it can be integrated into said dashboard. Indeed, a conventional dashboard has a maximum length of approximately 200 cm, the invention is suitable. therefore to any type of motor vehicle. The greater the length of said hollow body 1, the greater the number of additional batteries 2 that can be accommodated therein. Thus, the greater the quantity of electrical energy generated. Ideally, said dashboard forms a plane and said hollow body 1 is arranged in said dashboard parallel to it. The hollow body 1 has a section whose diameter is between 4 cm and 10 cm. Thus, said section is large enough to accommodate said additional batteries 2 without said hollow body 1 being difficult to insert into said dashboard.
[0024] [Fig. 2] shows, in the form of a flowchart, a method for installing additional batteries for said electrically powered motor vehicle previously described. During an opening step E1, said hatch is opened for a user wishing to install additional batteries. Ideally, the hatch is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of said vehicle. During an insertion step E2, the user inserts said batteries, one after the other, until the hollow body is filled. Each additional battery is in contact with one or two other batteries depending on their positioning in said hollow body. The additional batteries must be charged beforehand to be able to generate electricity. During a closing step E3, said user closes said hatch. The hatch then comes into contact with the last additional battery inserted and it is then that the electric transmission is created. When said additional batteries are discharged, they are easily replaced by repeating said process with new recharged batteries.
