[0001] The present invention relates to a box for horticultural products, of the type made from a sheet of cardboard cut with a die-cut with folding lines, to obtain a box with closures that can be opened and closed, comprising one or more openings in order to view the product contained inside.
[0002] The object of the invention is to offer a 100% cardboard box, therefore much more ecological and easily recyclable than boxes of this type whose openings have transparent plastic sheets in order to view the product contained inside. CONTEXT OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In the context of the practical application of the invention, boxes were obtained by developing a die-cut cardboard sheet with fold lines, to obtain boxes with closures that can be opened and closed, comprising one or more openings to view the product contained inside.
[0004] In order to prevent the accidental release of the products contained inside the box, it includes a transparent plastic sheet over the opening(s), glued to the inner frame of the box.
[0005] The difference in composition between the main body of the box and the sheets covering the openings obviously makes this type of product difficult to recycle properly. [0007] To this end, and more specifically, starting from the structure of any box of this type in which a single die-cut sheet of cardboard is used, which, once assembled, forms a package that can be opened and closed, that is to say, the lid(s) of the package form a single piece with the rest of it, the package having one or more grooves for openings to view the product contained inside. The invention focuses its features on the fact that, instead of the traditional transparent plastic sheet that covers the openings, it provides a paper mesh that adheres internally to the perimeter frame of the opening(s).

Once the kraft pulp is produced, a polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin resin is added, giving it ideal properties for rope manufacturing and ensuring that the final product retains its mechanical properties under high humidity conditions.

[0014] As shown in the figures provided, the box of the invention is made, as is traditional, from a sheet of cardboard (1) with cutting and folding lines, and once assembled, it forms a package whose lid(s) (2-2') are a single piece with the package itself. The latter can take on a wide variety of shapes according to different design lines, such as those illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, as well as many others, without affecting the essence of the invention. Indeed, said design has no impact on the structural features that are the focus of the content of the claim of the present invention.
[0015] In accordance with the essence of the invention, the packaging is provided with one or more openings (3) in order to view the product contained inside, which can be distributed on the sides, on the lid, or even on both, as shown in the embodiments of figures 1 and 3, openings which are supported on their inner face by a paper mesh (4), fixed by adhesive to the perimeter frame of said openings.
[0016] These packages can be assembled manually or automatically, without affecting the essence of the invention. They can also have chamfered corners (8), as in the version of [Fig.2], or sharp corners, without affecting the essence of the invention, and can include, as mentioned above, one or two lids (2-2') with coupling means (6) for a stable closure.

2. - Cardboard box for horticultural products with openings to view the product contained inside, according to claim 1, the mesh of which (4) is obtained with long pine fiber, polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin resin and with rosin resin.
3. - Cardboard box for horticultural products with openings to view the product contained inside, according to claim 1, wherein the paper used to obtain the mesh (4) has a basis weight between 30 g / m2 and 35 g / m2.
4. - Cardboard box for horticultural products with openings to view the product contained inside, according to claim 1, wherein the cord used in the paper mesh (4) has a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm.
