Description

Title of the invention: Power supply system for an automatic gate motor Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of motorization of mobile elements and in particular the motorization of gates. State of the art

[0002] It is known, in the field of gate motorization, to use a motorization which is offset from the moving door. For example, it may be known to install the motorization in an additional block, placed near the gate or buried. There are also motorizations installed in a post which forms the profile of the gate. When the gate closes, the moving door comes into contact with the profile post and allows the motor to be recharged.

[0003] Recharging is done from a motor that can be directly mounted in the post or buried and connected to said post. To operate, the motor is fixed to the ground and connected to the gate by a rack. There are alternatives offering gates with a battery in the gate profile that is recharged by contact with an upright connected to the motor that can be buried. However, in the event of a power cut, it becomes necessary to unlock and open the gate manually.

[0004] The invention therefore falls within this context and seeks to resolve all of the aforementioned drawbacks. Thus, the invention seeks to propose a system for powering a motor for operation of the gate, even in the event of a power cut. Presentation of the invention.

[0005] The subject of the invention is a power supply system for an automatic gate motor comprising a leaf comprising a profile forming one end of said leaf, in which is mounted at least one wheel and an upper crosspiece; a battery mounted in the profile and adapted to store electrical energy; a motor mounted on the leaf and capable of driving a movement of the leaf, when it is powered by the battery; at least one photovoltaic panel arranged on the upper crosspiece of said leaf, and adapted to produce electrical energy and to electrically power the battery.

[0006] The leaf may be self-supporting. The leaf may be movable in translation between an open position and a closed position. In another embodiment, the leaf may be movable in rotation between the open position and the closed position. The profile is adapted to form one end of the gate. In one embodiment, the The upper cross member may be substantially horizontal. In another embodiment, the upper cross member may be substantially oblique.

[0007] The wheel can allow the movement of the leaf between the closed position and the open position.

[0008] The battery may be adapted to store electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panel. The battery may be adapted to return stored electrical energy to the motor.

[0009] The motor may be mounted in the profile of the leaf. In another embodiment, the motor may be mounted directly on the leaf. The motor may be adapted to adopt an active configuration in which it drives the movement of the wheel and a passive configuration in which it ceases to adopt the active configuration. In the passive configuration, the motor may be switched off or on standby.

[0010] In this embodiment, the photovoltaic panel can be adapted to produce electrical energy which it transfers directly to the battery which stores said produced electrical energy. Said battery can then be adapted to transfer said stored electrical energy to the motor when the latter switches to the active configuration. In this embodiment, the energy produced must necessarily pass through the battery to reach the motor.

[0011] Advantageously, the motor is adapted to cooperate with the wheel by a drive system.

[0012] When the motor receives the electrical energy stored in the battery, it can set the drive system in motion and thus cause a rotational movement of the wheel.

[0013] In one embodiment, the drive system may for example comprise a worm screw adapted to enable the movement of the drive system to be transformed into a rotational movement of said wheel.

[0014] Advantageously, the photovoltaic panel is suitable for covering at least one portion of an upper face of the upper crosspiece of the leaf.

[0015] The photovoltaic panel can be installed on the upper face so that the The leaf becomes energy-independent. Thus, even if the leaf remains in a semi-open position, it is possible to continue operating it because the photovoltaic panel can continuously supply power to the battery when the panel receives light rays.

[0016] In one embodiment, the photovoltaic panel may be positioned flat on the upper face of the upper cross member. In another embodiment, the photovoltaic panel may be positioned obliquely on the upper face of the upper cross member.

[0017] Advantageously, the photovoltaic panel has a length of between 800 mm and 1000 mm.

[0018] The length of the photovoltaic panel can in particular be between 850 mm and 950 mm.

[0019] The width of the photovoltaic panel may have a width of between 50 mm and 70 mm, so that the width of the photovoltaic panel is in particular less than the width of the leaf.

[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the photovoltaic panel may have a length of 900 mm and a width of 60 mm.

[0021] The dimensions of the photovoltaic panel are adapted to the electrical energy to be produced for the operation of the motor.

[0022] In an exemplary embodiment, the photovoltaic panel may comprise several panels of smaller dimensions, each forming a portion of said photovoltaic panel.

[0023] Advantageously, the photovoltaic panel is adapted to deliver electrical energy to the motor when the latter adopts the active configuration and, to store in the battery, the electrical energy produced in excess, when the motor is in the passive configuration.

[0024] In this embodiment, the photovoltaic panel can be adapted to produce electrical energy which it transfers directly to the motor when the latter adopts the active configuration. When the motor switches to the passive configuration, and therefore does not consume electrical energy, then the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panel is directly stored in the battery which can then transfer the stored energy to the motor when there are no more light rays, for example at night or in the event of a storm, fog or low light.

[0025] Thus, in this embodiment, when the motor is in the active configuration, it can be adapted to receive electrical energy directly from the photovoltaic panel when light rays are present and it can be adapted to receive electrical energy from the battery when the light rays are not sufficient to operate the photovoltaic panel.

[0026] This embodiment may advantageously include a control unit adapted to optimize the use of the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panel. The control unit may include a brightness sensor. Thus, three cases may arise. When the motor switches to active configuration and the brightness sensor detects a sufficient quantity of light rays, then the control unit can indicate to the photovoltaic panel to transmit the electrical energy produced directly to the motor. When the motor switches to active configuration and the brightness sensor does not detect a sufficient quantity of light rays, then the control unit can indicate to the battery to transmit the stored electrical energy to the motor. When the motor switches to passive configuration and the light sensor detects a sufficient amount of light rays, then the control unit can signal the photovoltaic panel to transmit the electrical energy produced to the battery for storage.

[0027] Advantageously, the leaf is adapted to adopt an open configuration and a closed configuration and in that the profile comprises a locking member adapted to cooperate with a complementary locking member mounted on a post when the leaf adopts the closed configuration.

[0028] The leaf is adapted to open and close in order to allow a vehicle or a person to pass. When the leaf adopts the closed configuration, it can be locked by the cooperation of the locking member and the complementary locking member. The locking member and the complementary locking member can be arranged opposite each other when the leaf is in the closed configuration.

[0029] Thus, when a user wishes to pass through the opening closed by the leaf, the locking member and the complementary locking member are adapted to no longer cooperate with each other, so that the leaf can move from the closed configuration to the open configuration. When the user wishes to close the opening again, the leaf can move from the open configuration to the closed configuration, and the locking member of the profile can cooperate with the complementary locking member of the post.

[0030] Advantageously, the wheel is mounted on the profile by means of an adjustment member.

[0031] The adjustment member may allow the wheel to be supported. The adjustment member may allow pressure to be applied to the wheel so that said wheel is continuously in contact with the ground. Thus, when the leaf moves from the open configuration to the closed configuration and vice versa, the wheel remains continuously in contact with the ground.

[0032] The adjustment member can make it possible to adjust the position of the wheel in the profile, so that when the wheel is in the low position, the leaf is several centimeters from the ground and when the wheel is in the high position, the leaf is close to the ground, for example just touching the ground. Brief description of the figures.

[0033] Other advantages and characteristics of the present invention are now described with the aid of examples which are purely illustrative and in no way limitative of the scope of the invention, and from the appended drawings, drawings in which the various figures represent:

[0036] [Fig.3] schematically represents a sectional view of a profile of a leaf in one embodiment.

[0037] In the following description, elements which are identical, by structure or by function, appearing in different figures retain, unless otherwise specified, the same references. Description of an embodiment.

[0038] [Fig.l] shows a perspective view of a power supply system for an automatic gate motor comprising a leaf in a closed configuration. The power supply system is also described in connection with [Fig.2] showing a perspective view of a power supply system for an automatic gate motor comprising a leaf in an open configuration and with [Fig.3] showing a sectional view of a profile of a leaf in one embodiment.

[0039] The power supply system 1 of an automatic gate motor comprises a leaf 10 adapted to cooperate with a post 12. The leaf 10 is adapted to move between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The leaf 10 is movable in translation. The leaf 10 comprises a profile 100 forming one end of said leaf 10. The leaf 10 comprises an upper crosspiece 101 comprising an upper face 101.1. The upper crosspiece 101 is substantially horizontal.

[0040] The leaf 10 comprises a photovoltaic panel 11 adapted to produce electrical energy. The photovoltaic panel 11 is arranged on the upper crosspiece 101 of said leaf 10. The photovoltaic panel 11 is arranged on the upper face 101.1 of the upper crosspiece 101. The photovoltaic panel 11 is adapted to cover at least a portion of the upper face 101.1 of the upper crosspiece 101 of the leaf 10. The photovoltaic panel has a length of 900 mm and a width of 60 mm. The photovoltaic panel 11 has a width less than that of the width of the upper face 101.1.

[0041] The profile 100 of the leaf 10 comprises a battery 100.3 adapted to store electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panel 11. The battery 100.3 is adapted to restore the stored electrical energy to the motor 100.4.

[0042] The profile 100 of the leaf 10 comprises a motor 100.4 adapted to drive a movement of said leaf 10. The motor 100.4 is mounted in the profile 100 of the leaf 10. The motor 100.4 is adapted to adopt an active configuration in which it drives the movement of the wheel 100.1 and a passive configuration in which it stops adopting the active configuration. In the passive configuration, the engine is off or on standby.

[0043] The profile 100 comprises a wheel 100.1. The wheel 100.1 cooperates with the motor 100.4 via a drive system (not shown in the figures). The motor 100.4 drives the rotational movement of the wheel 100.1 via the drive system to cause the movement of the leaf 10.

[0044] The wheel 100.1 is mounted in the profile 100 by means of the adjustment member 100.2. The adjustment member 100.2 makes it possible to support the wheel 100.1 and to keep the wheel 100.1 in contact with the ground. The adjustment member 100.2 makes it possible to adjust the position of the wheel 100.1 in the profile 100.

[0045] The profile 100 comprises a locking member 100.5 adapted to cooperate with a complementary locking member 120 mounted on the post 12. The locking member 100.5 and the complementary locking member 120 are arranged so that when the leaf 10 is in the closed configuration, they are opposite each other.

[0046] In the embodiment described in the figures, the photovoltaic panel 11 is adapted to transfer the electrical energy produced only in the battery 100.3. The battery 100.3 is then adapted to transmit the stored electrical energy to the motor 100.4 when the latter switches to the active configuration. The power supply system 1 makes it possible in this embodiment to store electrical energy produced when the light rays are sufficient and to restore them at any time to the motor 100.4. When the motor 100.4 receives the electrical energy stored in the battery 100.3, it can set the drive system in motion and thus cause a rotational movement of the wheel 100.1 and therefore a movement of the leaf 10.

[0047] The foregoing description clearly explains how the invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives it has set itself, namely to propose a system for powering a motor for operation of the gate, even in the event of a power cut, by proposing a system for powering an automatic gate motor comprising a leaf comprising a profile forming one end of said leaf, in which at least one wheel and an upper crosspiece are mounted; a battery mounted in the profile and adapted to store electrical energy; a motor mounted on the leaf and capable of driving movement of the leaf, when it is powered by the battery; at least one photovoltaic panel arranged on the upper crosspiece of said gate, and adapted to produce electrical energy and to electrically power the battery.

[0048] In any event, the invention cannot be limited to the embodiments specifically described in this document, and extends in particular to all equivalent means and any technically effective combination of these means. In particular, we could consider:

[0049] - the leaf can be movable in rotation between the open position and the closed position

[0050] - the upper crosspiece can be substantially oblique;

[0051] - the photovoltaic panel can be adapted to produce electrical energy that it transfers directly to the motor when the latter adopts the active configuration. Thus, in this embodiment, when the motor is in the active configuration, it can be adapted to receive electrical energy directly from the photovoltaic panel when light rays are present and it can be adapted to receive electrical energy from the battery when the light rays are not sufficient to operate the photovoltaic panel. This embodiment may advantageously include a control unit adapted to optimize the use of the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panel. When the engine switches to passive configuration and the light sensor detects a sufficient amount of light rays, then the control unit can signal the photovoltaic panel to transmit the electrical energy produced to the battery so that it can be stored.
