Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Railway vehicle bogie, comprising an improved connecting rod support
[0001] The present invention relates to a railway vehicle bogie.
[0002] A railway vehicle bogie usually comprises at least one drive rod, intended to transmit longitudinal traction and braking forces. In a conventional bogie, this rod is integrated into the main structure of the bogie.
[0003] Such integration usually requires numerous manufacturing and adjustment operations, which involve a relatively long manufacturing time.
[0004] The invention aims in particular to remedy this drawback, by proposing a railway vehicle bogie whose manufacturing time is reduced.
[0005] For this purpose, the invention relates in particular to a railway vehicle bogie, comprising two side members and at least one cross member extending between the two side members, the cross member comprising a central wall and a wall perpendicular to the central wall, characterized in that it comprises a connecting rod fixing member welded directly to the wall and, the wall of the cross member being delimited by an edge and comprising a welding part extending projecting from this edge, the fixing member is welded to the welding part.
[0006] At the origin of the invention, it was found that, surprisingly, a butt weld alone is sufficient to take up the longitudinal forces, so that the fixing member according to the invention is sufficient, without it being necessary to integrate a solid part into the structure of the crosspiece to transmit these forces.
[0007] As a result, manufacturing time is considerably reduced, by limiting boilermaking operations and eliminating adjustments. In addition, welding can be automated.
[0008] A bogie according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in any technically conceivable combination.
[0009] - The fixing member and the wall are welded edge-to-edge.
[0010] - The fixing member comprises fixing blocks made from one material with a common welding portion, the welding portion having a first welding edge, preferably straight and extending parallel to the crossmember.
[0011] - The fixing member is made by casting or forging.
[0012] - The fixing member comprises at least one connecting rod fixing orifice.
[0013] - The hole receives a screw.
[0014] - The fixing member comprises, for each orifice, an opening in which opens this hole, intended to house a nut to receive the screw.
[0015] - The bogie comprises at least one reinforcing element welded to both the fixing, to the wall and to the central wall.
[0016] - Each reinforcement element is welded by an angle bead.
[0017] Various aspects and advantages of the invention will be highlighted in the description which follows, given solely as an example and made with reference to the appended figures, among which.
[0018] [Fig-1] [Fig.l] partially represents a perspective view of a bogie according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, and
[0019] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a perspective view, from below, of a detail 11 of [Fig.l], representing a fixing member equipping the bogie of [Fig.l].
[0020] [Fig.l] shows a partial representation of a railway vehicle bogie 10, seen from below. The bogie 10 comprises, in a conventional manner, two side members 12, and at least one cross member 14, for example two cross members 14, connecting the two side members 12 together.
[0021] The crosspiece 14 is formed of a central wall 14a, as well as upper 14b and lower 14c walls, substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the central wall 14a.
[0022] Such a bogie 10 has a classic structure which will not be described further.
[0023] The bogie 10 according to the invention comprises a connecting rod fixing member 16, intended for fixing a drive connecting rod to transmit longitudinal traction and braking forces.
[0024] The fixing member 16 is shown in more detail in [Fig.2].
[0025] The fixing member 16 is produced by casting, or by forging.
[0026] The fixing member 16 comprises a part 18 for fixing the connecting rod. The part of fixing 18 comprises at least one fixing hole 20, allowing the fixing of the connecting rod by means of a screw (not shown). Advantageously, the fixing part 18 comprises two orifices 20.
[0027] Each fixing hole 20 is defined by an axis perpendicular to the crosspiece 14.
[0028] The fixing holes 20 are provided in fixing blocks 22, spaced apart from each other. on the other in the direction of crosspiece 14.
[0029] In addition, two openings 21, with axes parallel to the crosspiece 14 and aligned with each other, are provided in the fixing blocks 22. Each fixing orifice 20 opens into the opening 21. Each opening 21 is intended to receive a nut, intended to receive the screw passing through the corresponding orifice 20.
[0030] Alternatively, the openings 21 are not present and each fixing orifice 20 is tapped.
[0031] The fixing blocks 22 are made in one piece with a common welding portion 24. The welding portion 24 has a first welding edge 26, preferably straight and extending parallel to the crosspiece 14.
[0032] The welding part 24 is intended to be welded directly to the lower wall 14c of the crosspiece 14, for example in the extension of this lower wall 14c.
[0033] For this purpose, the lower wall 14c has a second welding edge 28, complementary to the first welding edge 24. The fixing member 16 is therefore welded edge-to-edge with the lower wall 14c.
[0034] Advantageously, the lower wall 14c comprises a second welding portion 30, delimited by the second welding edge 28, extending projecting from an edge 32 of the lower wall 14c.
[0035] The second welding portion 30 comprises, at its lateral ends, fins 34 separated from the edge 32 by a slot 36. The fins 34 are intended to be cut after welding. More particularly, the welding is initiated and completed in these areas which are subsequently cut, so that the defects at the start and end of the beads are eliminated.
[0036] The bogie 10 comprises at least one reinforcing element 38 welded to both the fixing member 16, the lower wall 14c and the central wall 14a. The reinforcing elements 38 provide rigidity vertically and transversely.
[0037] For this purpose, each reinforcing element 38 has an L-shape matching the shape of the surface of the fixing member 16, in particular between one of the blocks 18 and the welding part 24, extending over the surface of the second welding part 30, then extending against the central wall 14a of the crosspiece 14.
[0038] Each reinforcing element 38 is thus welded by an angle bead. It should be noted that access to these angle beads is easy, so that there is no particular difficulty in carrying out this welding.
[0039] It will be noted that the fixing member according to the invention is much simpler and less expensive to produce than a fixing member of the state of the art. In particular, the invention does not require any boilermaking adjustment, and access to the weld is easy, so that it is easy to check or repair this weld at any stage of production.
[0040] It will also be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiment previously described, but could have various variants without departing from the scope of the claims.
[0041] For example, alternatively, the welding portion is welded to the top wall. In this case, the reinforcing portion is also welded to the top wall.
