Description

Title of the invention: Device for connecting a signaling buoy to the person practicing aquatic sports and / or leisure activities (underwater fishing, freediving, snorkeling, etc.) while avoiding any risk of accident for the person practicing it.

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for connecting a signaling buoy to the person practicing aquatic sports and / or leisure activities (underwater fishing, freediving, snorkeling, etc.).

[0002] The most commonly used method is to attach the buoy line to any lead weight and connect the latter to a metal ring attached to the user's belt using a carabiner. Some manufacturers have equipped lead weights with metal belt clips for spearfishing and freediving and buoy lines belted directly around the snorkeler's waist. These current solutions induce risks of accidents caused if an emergency release of the buoy line must be carried out. For example, the latter is likely to be caught by a boat propeller, stuck between rocks or linked to other risks of the marine environment.

[0003] The device according to the invention makes it possible to overcome this drawback.

[0004] It is in fact composed according to a first characteristic of two parts, a plastic base and a plastic support on which a belt weight of 0.5 kg, 1 kg or 2 kg from any manufacturer will be secured using plastic clamps.

[0005] A waterproof magnet is attached to each of their faces. The base is equipped with a closed belt loop and the support is equipped with a half-ring made of rope. The two parts are magnetized to each other.

[0006] When the base is positioned on the practitioner's belt, the support magnetically couples to it with a constant force of 14 kg and the buoy line will be connected by a carabiner to the rope half-ring. The weight and density of the belt weight ensure the function of releasable ballast.

[0007] The support will automatically detach in the event of an emergency force from the base by shearing effect of the magnets with a constant resistance of 11 kg.

[0008] It is entirely possible to separate the two parts manually by tilting and breaking the magnetic force of the support due to its cantilevered position on the base with a constant force of 4.1 kg, which allows rapid and effortless detachment with one hand, for example in order to mark out an area.

[0009] The use of the plastic support without lead ballast is suitable for snorkeling, open water swimming, apnea if the latter is connected to a lifeline,

[0010] also in underwater fishing if the practitioner uses a grappling hook or any weight by connecting it directly to the half-ring of rope while benefiting from the safety of the system.

[0011] The support secured with a ballast also serves as a quick weight adjustment on the belt.

[0012] The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention:

[0013] [Fig-1] represents the device of the invention.

[0014] [Fig.2] represents the automatic emergency release operation of the device.

[0015] [Fig.3] represents the manual decoupling operation of the device.

[0016] [Fig.4] shows in section, the positioning of the half-ring in rope.

[0017] [Fig.5] represents the base seen from the front.

[0018] With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a plastic base (1) with a waterproof magnet (2) on its upper face.

[0019] A belt loop (3) is located on the underside of the base (1).

[0020] Two fins (4) are located on the upper part of the base.

[0021] A plastic support (6) provided with two loops (7) for a plastic clamp collar (8) allowing a belt weight (9) to be secured, with a waterproof magnet (2bis) fixed on its lower face.

[0022] The rope half-ring (5) is located at the end of the plastic support fixed by means of two bored holes allowing the rope to pass from one to the other to form a half-ring held by a knot (7) at each end.

[0023] As a non-limiting example, the base will have dimensions of the order of 6 cm in length, 5 cm in width, 2.5 cm in height.

[0024] The support will have dimensions of the order of 8.5 cm in length, 4.2 cm in width, 1.2 cm in height.

[0025] The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the safety of those practicing aquatic sports and / or leisure activities.
