Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Closing cap for a hydraulic fluid reservoir, reservoir comprising such a cap, braking system and motor vehicle comprising such a braking system Technical field
[0001] The invention relates to the field of motor vehicles, in particular to the field of the braking system of the motor vehicle.
[0002] The invention relates more particularly to a closure cap for a hydraulic fluid reservoir.
[0003] The invention also relates to a reservoir comprising such a closing cap, a braking system comprising such a reservoir and a motor vehicle comprising such a braking system. Prior art
[0004] The braking system of a motor vehicle comprises a set of pipes, in which brake fluid circulates.
[0005] Brake fluid is a hydraulic fluid whose function is to transmit the braking force to the wheels of the motor vehicle when pressure is exerted on the brake pedal.
[0006] The quality of the brake fluid is therefore essential to obtain good braking of the motor vehicle when braking is commanded.
[0007] In the vehicle braking system, the lines, which are made of metal conduits, are damaged by moisture over time.
[0008] Humidity causes corrosion of the brake system pipes.
[0009] Rust then forms in the pipes.
[0010] Also, metal particles from the decomposition of the pipes form inside the pipes.
[0011] When brake fluid passes through the pipes, it becomes loaded with metal particles and dirt, which impacts the quality of the brake fluid.
[0012] Also, humidity also causes chemical degradation of the brake fluid over time.
[0013] The degradation of brake fluid impairs the operation of the braking system of the motor vehicle. Statement of the invention
[0014] The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, and relates to to make a closing cap for a hydraulic fluid reservoir, said cap comprising an external face and an internal face arranged opposite said reservoir when said closing cap is mounted on said reservoir, remarkable in that it comprises a magnet filter mounted on said internal face of said closing cap, adapted to penetrate inside said reservoir when said closing cap is mounted on said reservoir.
[0015] Thus, by providing for equipping the closing cap with a magnetic filter mounted so as to penetrate inside the reservoir when the cap is mounted on the reservoir, the metal particles contained in the hydraulic fluid, for example the brake fluid of a vehicle braking system, are captured by the magnetic filter.
[0016] The brake fluid is then regularly filtered and separated from the metal particles.
[0017] This protects the chemical characteristics of the brake fluid.
[0018] In this way, the service life of the brake fluid is increased compared to the art previous, which helps to preserve the operation of the motor vehicle's braking system over time.
[0019] According to optional characteristics of the closing cap: - said magnet filter comprises a solid magnetized plate; - the thickness of said solid magnetic plate is between approximately 1mm and approximately 4mm; - said internal face comprises a positioning rod for said magnet filter on which said magnet filter is mounted; - said positioning rod comprises a fixing hole adapted to receive a fixing element of said magnet filter; - said positioning rod is made of a plastic material.
[0020] The invention also relates to a hydraulic fluid reservoir comprising an opening capable of being closed by a closing cap, remarkable in that said closing cap is according to the invention.
[0021] The invention also relates to a braking system of a motor vehicle, comprising a set of pipes in which a brake fluid circulates, remarkable in that said brake fluid is contained in a reservoir according to the invention.
[0022] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a braking system, remarkable in that said braking system is according to the invention. Brief description of the drawings

[0026] [Fig.3] is an exploded view of the closure cap of the tank of the invention.
[0027] [Fig.4] is a cross-sectional view of the reservoir of the invention.
[0028] [Fig.5] shows the tank according to the invention, the closing cap being removed. Description of the embodiments
[0029] In the remainder of the description, elements having an identical structure or similar functions are designated by the same reference.
[0030] We refer to [Fig.l] which shows a reservoir 1 of hydraulic fluid, seen in perspective.
[0031] In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the hydraulic fluid is a brake fluid of a braking system of a motor vehicle. However, the present invention can be applied to other types of hydraulic fluids.
[0032] The tank 1 here adopts a parallelepiped shape, but other geometric shapes can of course be retained.
[0033] The tank 1 has an opening 3 (visible in [Fig.2]) capable of being closed by a closing cap 5.
[0034] Reference is made to [Fig.2] showing a sectional view of the tank 1.
[0035] The reservoir 1 delimits an internal space 7 in which the hy fluid is contained draulic.
[0036] The closing cap 5 comprises an external face 9 and an internal face 11 arranged opposite the reservoir 1 when the closing cap 5 is mounted on the reservoir 1, that is to say opposite the internal space 7 of the reservoir.
[0037] According to the invention, the closing cap 5 comprises a magnetic filter 13, mounted on the internal face 11 of the closing cap 5.
[0038] When the closing cap 5 is mounted on the reservoir 1 and closes the opening 3 of the reservoir 1, the magnet filter 13 penetrates inside the reservoir 1, into the internal space 7 which contains the hydraulic fluid.
[0039] Thus, thanks to the present invention, the magnet filter 13 of the reservoir 1 captures the metal particles contained in the brake fluid.
[0040] The brake fluid is then regularly filtered and separated from the metal particles present in the brake fluid.
[0041] This protects the chemical characteristics of the brake fluid.
[0042] In this way, the service life of the brake fluid is increased compared to the art previous, which helps to preserve the operation of the motor vehicle's braking system over time.
[0043] In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the internal face 11 of the closing cap 5 comprises a positioning rod 15 of the magnet filter 13 on which the magnet filter 13 is mounted.
[0044] The positioning rod 15 extends substantially vertically relative to the reservoir 1.
[0045] The positioning rod 15 of the magnet filter 13 may be made of a plastic material. The positioning rod 15 may be obtained by molding during the manufacture of the closing cap 5.
[0046] Reference is made to [Fig.3] showing the closing cap 5 in exploded view.
[0047] The magnet filter 13 comprises a solid magnetized plate 17.
[0048] In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the solid magnetic plate 17 adopts a generally rectangular geometric shape. However, the solid magnetic plate 17 can adopt other geometric shapes.
[0049] The positioning rod 15 comprises a fixing orifice 19 adapted to receive a fixing element 21 of the magnet filter 13, for example a fixing screw.
[0050] In the upper part of the magnet filter 13, the solid magnetized plate 17 is extended by a fixing orifice 23 concentric with the fixing orifice 19 of the positioning rod 15 when the magnet filter 13 is mounted on the closing cap 5.
[0051] The fixing holes 19, 23 receive the fixing element 21 when the magnet filter 13 is mounted on the closing cap 5, thus ensuring the fixing of the magnet filter 13 on the closing cap 5.
[0052] Reference is made to [Fig.4] showing the tank 1 in cross-section.
[0053] According to one arrangement, the thickness of the solid magnetized plate 17 is between approximately 1 mm and approximately 4 mm. For example, the thickness E is between approximately 2 mm and approximately 3 mm. Such ranges of values make it possible to confer good magnetization properties on the solid magnetized plate 17.
[0054] The operation of the braking system according to the invention is as follows.
[0055] The braking system comprises a set of pipes in which the brake fluid circulates and connecting the reservoir 1 to the wheel brakes. When the wheel reaches the locking point, the vehicle's computer reduces the pressure on the wheel concerned. The pressure drop occurs instantly thanks to a low-pressure accumulator. The brake fluid intake is closed by an inlet solenoid valve which moves to the closed position. Simultaneously, an exhaust solenoid valve opens and a pump starts up and discharges the brake fluid stored in the pipes into the reservoir 1. The brake fluid enters the reservoir 1 and the magnet filter 13 captures the metal particles contained in the brake fluid. Thus, the braking system of the invention captures the metal particles during the pressure reduction phase.
[0056] Reference is made to [Fig.5] showing the tank 1, the closing cap 5 being removed for maintenance purposes of the magnet filter 13.
[0057] Maintenance of the magnet filter 13 can be carried out by removing the closing cap 5 from the tank 1 and then cleaning the magnet filter 13.
[0058] Once the magnet filter 13 has been cleaned, the closing cap 5 can be closed on the tank 1 for use again.
[0059] In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the closing cap 5 is mounted on the tank 1 by screwing. However, the closing cap 5 can also be mounted on the tank 1 by other means, for example by clipping.
[0060] As goes without saying, the present invention is not limited to the sole embodiments of this closing cap, of this hydraulic fluid reservoir, of this braking system and of this motor vehicle comprising such a braking system, described above solely as illustrative examples, but on the contrary it embraces all the variants involving the technical equivalents of the means described as well as their combinations if these fall within the scope of the invention.
