Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Renovated fire-resistant armored door technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a fire-resistant armored door. The invention will find particular application in integrating fire-resistant and armored functions into an existing door. The invention is particularly applicable to the renovation market. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] The principle of a fire door is to limit the risk of fire spreading from one apartment to other apartments, particularly to the corridors of common areas. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the diffusion of heat towards the core of the door. However, armored doors have a metallic coating that conducts heat particularly well towards the core of the door.
[0003] Furthermore, a solution applicable to existing doors, generally made of wood, is sought for the purpose of saving money, but also as part of an ecological and aesthetic approach whose objective is to use existing materials as much as possible.
[0004] There is therefore a need to offer an armored fire door which resolves all or part of these drawbacks. SUMMARY
[0005] To achieve this objective, according to one embodiment, an armored fire door is provided comprising a frame and at least one leaf, the leaf comprising a base panel, for example made of wood, comprising an external face intended to form an exterior face of the fire door and an internal face opposite the external face, the internal face and the external face being connected to each other by an edge, at least part of the internal face and at least part of the edge being covered, preferably entirely, by a metallic armoring cladding having a first face disposed with regard to the base panel and a second face opposite the first face, characterized in that the opening comprises a fire-resistant magnesium silicate panel bonded with non-combustible adhesive between the inner face of the base panel and the first face of the metal armor cladding, and in that at least a portion of the edge of the opening comprises a non-combustible wool seal arranged between the base panel and the first face of the metal armor cladding.
[0006] This configuration ensures that the wooden base panel is protected to delay the temperature rise and its combustion despite the presence of the metallic shielding cladding. Indeed, the synergy between the fire-resistant panel bonded with non-combustible adhesive, which both reduces the temperature and Preventing combustion, the non-combustible wool seal, which provides a thermal barrier in sensitive and less accessible areas such as the edges of the openings, allows for a renovated, easily installed, and highly effective fire-resistant door. The door according to the invention is at least a fire-resistant door, fire-rated E1, and advantageously offers 30 minutes of flame resistance, corresponding to an E30 classification.
[0007] Advantageously, the synergy of the wool and the insulating panel makes it possible to ensure optimal protection of at least three sides of the door.
[0008] According to one possibility, the fire door comprises two openings.
[0009] According to another aspect, the invention relates to a method for renovating a door, preferably an existing one, to close off an area in order to form a fire-resistant armored door as described above: (the area being, for example, an apartment, a house) - Supply of an existing door with a base panel, for example made of wood, comprising an external face intended to form an outer face of the armored fire door and an internal face opposite the external face, - Application of a magnesium silicate fire-resistant panel to the inner face of the base panel using a non-combustible adhesive, - Positioning of a non-combustible wool seal on at least part of the edge of the base panel, - Positioning of a metallic shielding coating (500) on at least part of the inner face (303,403) of the base panel and on at least part of the edge.
[0010] This process makes it possible to improve the existing door by adding armoring and fire-resistant functions while keeping the external face in contact with the outside of the area, therefore visible from the outside with the original aesthetic. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

[0041] The present invention relates to a door 1 having both fire-resistant and / or flame-resistant and armored properties.
[0042] The door 1 according to the invention comprises a frame 200 and at least one leaf 300, 400. A leaf 300, 400 is a movable part of the door, also called a sash. A frame 200 corresponds to the jamb, that is to say, a fixed part of a door 1 which is integral with the masonry.
[0043] The door 1 comprises at least one opening 300 and, according to one possibility, two openings 300 and 400.
[0044] Each opening 300, 400 is fixed to the frame 200, advantageously by hinges 5. At least one opening 300, 400 includes a handle 6 which can be associated with a lock allowing the closing and opening of the opening 300, 400 to be operated.
[0045] Preferably, the door 1 is intended to delimit an interior area corresponding for example to an apartment, or the interior of a house, a warehouse, from an exterior area corresponding for example to a corridor of common areas or the exterior of a house.
[0046] The door 1 has a lower face 101 and an outer face 102. The inner face 101 is understood to be the face of the opening 300, 400 intended to be arranged on the inner side of the door 1, that is to say, facing the inner area. Conversely, one by exterior face 102 means the face of the opening 300, 400 intended to be arranged on the exterior side of the door 1, that is to say with regard to the exterior area.
[0047] Each opening 300, 400 comprises a base panel 301, 401, advantageously made of wood.
[0048] The term "wood" means solid wood, plywood, particleboard or a mixture or assembly of these.
[0049] According to an advantage of the invention, the base panel 301, 401 is an existing opening which we wish to optimize to give it fire-resistant and shielding functions.
[0050] The base panel 301, 401 has an external face 302, 402 and an internal face 303,403 opposite the external face 302,402.
[0051] The internal face 303, 403 refers to the face of the base panel 301, 401 intended to be arranged on the inside of the door 1, i.e., facing the interior area. Conversely, the external face 302, 402 refers to the face of the base panel 300, 401 intended to be arranged on the outside of the door 1, i.e., facing the exterior area.

The outer face 302, 402 of the base panel 301, 401 is therefore intended to form the outer face 101 of the door and to be arranged with respect to the exterior area. It may be possible to have an additional coating on this outer face 302, 402 depending on technical and / or aesthetic requirements.
[0053] The outer face 302, 402 and the inner face 303, 403 are connected to each other, advantageously around their perimeter, by an edge 304, 404. The edge 304,404 corresponds to the less wide faces of the door 1.
[0054] The edge 304,404 is defined as comprising four edges: an inner edge 304a, 404a, an outer edge 304b, 404b, an upper edge 304c, 404c, and a lower edge 304d, 404d. The lower edge 304d, 404d is intended to be in view of the ground and in particular a door threshold, the upper edge 304c, 404c is opposite the lower edge 304d, 404d and therefore to the ground. The inner edge 304a, 404a is understood as the edge of the opening 300,400 on the side of its attachment to the frame 200, that is to say in particular on the side of the hinges 5. The outer edge 304b, 404b is opposite to the inner edge 304a, 404a and is understood as the edge of the opening 300,400 on the side of the handle 6 or the lock.
[0055] Advantageously, the base panel 301, 401 has a substantially parallelepiped shape with possibly rounded edges on some sides.
[0056] The frame 200 comprises a frame 201 advantageously made of wood. For example, the non-combustible adhesive is silicate-based. The adhesive may be Pyrocol® from the company Odice. In particular, during a fire, i.e., when heated above a critical temperature, the non-combustible adhesive changes state and releases vapor, which moistens the base panel 301, 401. particularly in wood and which locally reduces the temperature, limiting the spread of fire.
[0068] According to one possibility, the non-combustible adhesive covers at least 90%, preferably 100%, of the fire-resistant panel 2, preferably of one face 21,22 of said fire-resistant panel 2. According to one possibility, the fire-resistant panel 2 comprises at least 150g of adhesive / m2, preferably at least 200g / m2 more preferably 250g / m2.
[0069] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the door 1 includes a non-combustible wool seal 3. The non-combustible wool seal 3 is, for example, based on glass wool, rock wool, glass fiber, refractory ceramic fiber, or alkaline earth silicate such as, for example, known under the brand name SuperWool®.
[0070] The non-combustible wool gasket 3 acts as thermal insulation between the metal shielding cladding 500, 5000 and the wooden base panel 301 and / or the wooden frame 200. The non-combustible wool gasket 3 prevents the heat from the fire, which is easily transmitted to the metal shielding cladding 500, 5000, from being transmitted to the base panel, particularly the wooden one.
[0071] The non-combustible wool seal 3 is advantageously arranged on at least part of the edge 304, 404 of the opening 300, 400. Preferably, the non-combustible wool seal 3 is arranged between the base panel 301, 401 and the first face 501 of the metal shielding cladding 500. Preferably, the non-combustible wool seal 3 covers at least part of the inner edge 304a, 404a, and the outer edge 304b, 404b. In one option, the non-combustible wool seal 3 may be present on the upper edge 304c, 404c, and / or the lower edge 304d, 404d of the base panel 301, 401.
[0072] According to one possibility, the non-combustible wool seal 3 covers at least 80% of at least one of the inner edges 304a, 404a, outer edges 304b, 404b, upper edges 304c, 404c, and / or lower edges 304d, 404d where it is present. Preferably, the non-combustible wool seal 3 covers at least 80% of the width of said edge, preferably 100%. The width is defined as the transverse dimension to the length. The length is measured along a longitudinal dimension of the door 1 and more commonly along the vertical.
[0073] Preferably, the door 1 comprises, as an alternative or complementary alternative to the non-combustible wool seal 3 present on the edge 304, 404 of the opening 300,400, a combustible wool seal 3 present on the edge 204 of the frame 201 of the fixed 200.
[0074] According to one possibility, the non-combustible wool seal 3 covers at least 70% of section 204. Preferably, the non-combustible wool seal 3 covers at least 80% of the width of said section 204, preferably 100%. The width being defined as the dimension transverse to the length. The length being measured along a longitudinal dimension of the door 1 and more commonly along the vertical.
[0075] According to a preferred embodiment, the door 1 includes an intumescent seal 4. The intumescent seal 4 is configured to expand under the effect of heat so as to fill a gap in order to limit the spread of fire. Advantageously, an intumescent seal 104 is arranged between the sash 300, 400 and the frame 200 or between two sashes 300, 400 in the embodiment in which the door 1 includes two sashes 300, 400.
[0076] According to a preferred possibility, when the intumescent seal 4 is arranged between the frame 200 and an opening 300, 400, it is preferably arranged on the frame 200. This arrangement ensures optimized durability and a desired aesthetic appearance. Advantageously, the intumescent seal 4 is arranged on the edge 204 of the frame 201 of the fixed part 200.
