Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Façade ventilation device and device for manufacturing a batch for a ventilation device
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of facade sunshade and ventilation devices, but also to devices for manufacturing a batch for a facade sunshade and ventilation device.
[0002] In the above-mentioned field, custom-made openwork cladding solutions are known. Such solutions may include wood or laminate panels that are fixed in various ways to the facade of a building. These are primarily decorative solutions, and there is no ventilation effect, as the panels are too close together.
[0003] There are façade sunshade and ventilation devices comprising an openwork structure allowing air to pass through and providing direct protection from the sun's rays. However, such devices include a heavy metal structure that is difficult to install on a building's façade.
[0004] The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a facade sunshade and ventilation device that is easy to manufacture, transport and install on site and that can be quickly adapted to various specifications.
[0005] The invention relates to a facade sunshade and ventilation device comprising at least one set of adjacent and independent units intended to be arranged on a facade, a unit comprising two parallel cables between which a plurality of panels are mounted, each panel having substantially the shape of a rectangular block having two principal faces defining a width and a height and two transverse faces defining a depth, the panels of the same unit all comprising substantially the same width, at least two consecutive panels of the same unit being spaced at a distance substantially equal to the height of one of the panels, the cables being stretched vertically and fixed at their two ends to the facade or to at least one intermediate element fixed to the facade and means for attaching each panel between two cables associated with a unit.
[0006] The spaced panel design thus partially forms a tight mesh, creating a sunshade and a venturi effect, in this case a forced natural ventilation effect, and constitutes a natural protective screen and filters solar radiation. The facade sunshade and ventilation device according to the invention makes it possible to create temperate intermediate spaces in buildings and to reduce the energy cost of air conditioning.
[0007] Implementing a batch design allows, on the one hand, for easier on-site assembly of the facade sunshade and ventilation system by deploying as many batches as necessary, on the other hand, for easy handling of the batches in the form of easily transportable rolls, and finally, for adaptable batch manufacturing. Such manufacturing can be automated, but can also be adapted to different specifications, namely those relating to the dimensions of the panels composing a batch and the cable lengths, and can thus adapt to the particular shapes of a facade. The facade sunshade and ventilation system according to the invention can advantageously cover only certain parts of a building's facade.
[0008] The elements composing the facade sunshade and ventilation system are thus assembled dry and can be easily separated, making the facade sunshade and ventilation system easy to recycle.
[0009] It is also possible to assemble two to four batches in the workshop and bring them to the site to place the assemblies next to each other and fix them on the facade.
[0010] The lots or sets of lots can be stored and transported in rolls or accordion-style, advantageously facilitating their placement on the facade.
[0011] According to one feature of the invention, the means for attaching a panel between two cables are located on the two opposite transverse faces of a panel. Positioning the attachment means on the two opposite transverse faces of a panel increases the stability of a bundle and also improves safety during the handling of coiled bundles. Furthermore, this leaves the main face of the panels undamaged for an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
[0012] According to another feature of the invention, each panel comprises, on its two opposite transverse faces, a vertical groove for receiving a cable. Passing each cable through a groove provided for this purpose reduces the overall size of a batch, the width of a batch thus corresponding to the width of the chosen panels.
[0013] According to one feature of the invention, the grooves comprise a triangular section. The implementation of a groove comprising a triangular section advantageously allows, on the one hand, for adaptation to different cable diameters and, on the other hand, for adding a pinching effect for the cable in the groove.
[0014] According to one feature of the invention, the means for attaching each panel between two cables associated with a set include at least one staple connecting a cable to the transverse face of a panel. Stapling a cable directly to the transverse face of a panel and, in one embodiment, directly into the housing provided for this purpose, for example a groove, is a reliable and easily implemented means of attachment. It works for different types of materials that can make up the panel. The staple is therefore highly compatible with wood or composite panels.
[0015] According to one embodiment of the invention, the cables and clips are made of stainless steel. The use of stainless steel is particularly advantageous for the facade sunshade and ventilation system designed to withstand external weather conditions such as all kinds of inclement weather, rain, ambient humidity, temperature variations, UV radiation, and wind. Advantageously, the cables and clips are thus corrosion-resistant and less affected by weathering. Other durable and resistant materials may be used.
[0016] According to one feature of the invention, adjacent lots are linked in pairs by means of at least one two-cable fastening system. The fastening system may include a clip clamping two adjacent cables out of the panels.
[0017] According to one feature of the invention, at least two panels from the same batch comprise a different vertical edge height.
[0018] According to another feature of the invention, at least one batch comprises panels spaced at a different distance from that of two other panels.
[0019] Depending on the geography of the location, the exposure of the facade of the building to be ventilated, it is interesting to modulate the value of the space between the panels of the same batch but also the height of the panels of the same batch to accentuate the circulation of air.
[0020] According to one feature of the invention, two adjacent batches do not have the same panel arrangement, namely the dimensions of one or more panels and / or the spacing between two panels. The panels in the same batch or in two adjacent batches may thus have different heights and / or thicknesses. Consecutive panels in the same batch and consecutive panels in two adjacent batches may be spaced at varying distances.
[0021] According to one embodiment of the invention, consecutive panels in the same batch have a larger space between them towards the top of the batch, intended to be installed towards the top of the facade, opposite the ground. This openwork structure promotes the Venturi effect and thus ventilation of the facade.
[0022] It is also advantageous to be able to have two adjacent lots with different panel arrangements. This also makes it possible to create various patterns for the façade sunshade and ventilation system.
[0023] According to one feature of the invention, at least two batches are not in the same plane. The cables remain parallel, but the arrangement of the panels from one batch to the other may include a different plane with an angle of up to 90 degrees. An angle of 180° corresponds to an alignment of the batches, and reducing this angle makes it possible to design an openwork structure with a relief.
[0024] According to one feature of the invention, the cables are fixed at both ends to an upper structure and a lower structure. Upper and lower structures having areas for receiving and fixing the ends of the cables can be provided upstream, thus facilitating the placement of each set on the facade.
[0025] The invention also relates to a device for manufacturing a batch for a sunshade and ventilation device comprising a frame including a mat, two cable distribution systems mounted upstream of a panel insertion station, parallel cable tensioning means, two panel attachment systems between the two cables and an advancement system and control means for the attachment systems and the advancement system.
[0026] Such a batch manufacturing device makes it easier to implement the sunshade and ventilation device, as the batches can be produced very quickly and assembled directly into a unit ready to be brought to the site.
[0027] According to one feature of the invention, the advancement system comprises a plate for receiving the ends of the two cables, the plate being capable of translating along the conveyor belt. Advantageously, the use of a plate designed to translate also allows the cables to be tensioned.
[0028] According to one embodiment of the invention, the panel attachment systems between the two cables comprise two staplers arranged opposite each other at the panel insertion station. Using staplers located directly at the panel insertion station reduces the overall size of the manufacturing device and also allows for parallel manufacturing steps, namely advancing the panel to staple it to the cable at different locations.
[0029] Of course, the different features, variants and embodiments of the invention can be combined with each other in various ways insofar as they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive.
[0030] In addition, various other features of the invention become apparent from the attached description made with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting embodiments of the invention and where:

[0043] It should be noted that in these figures the structural and / or functional elements common to the different variants may have the same references.
[0044] The invention aims to provide a facade sunshade and ventilation device that is easily adaptable to different specifications and easily transportable and installable on a facade.
[0045] For these purposes, a sunshade and ventilation device designated by reference 1 as illustrated in [Fig.1] comprises a set of adjacent lots 2 intended to be arranged on a facade 3.
[0046] A lot 2 within the meaning of the invention comprising two parallel cables 4 between which is mounted a plurality of panels 5.
[0047] A panel 5 compatible with the invention as illustrated in [Fig.2] has substantially the shape of a rectangular prism comprising two principal faces defining a width 1 and a height h and two transverse faces defining a depth p. The panels 5 of the same batch 2 all comprising substantially the same width 1.
[0048] According to the embodiment illustrated in [Fig. 1], the sunshade and ventilation device 1 comprises an assembly of four lots 2. Each lot 2 comprises five substantially identical panels 5 spaced apart by a distance greater than the height of a panel 5. And two adjacent lots 2 are arranged in a staggered pattern, that is to say, on the one hand, the respective panels 5 of two adjacent lots 2 are not arranged side by side, on the contrary, each panel 5 is located next to the space created between two panels 5 of the neighboring lot 2, and on the other hand the lots 2 are arranged with an identical plane by skipping one 2.
[0049] Other forms of embodiment of lots 2 and sets of lots are described below.
[0050] The cables 4 used are metallic and preferably made of stainless steel. Other materials that allow sufficient tension to be maintained on the cables 4 when the cables 4 are fixed to the facade 3 are compatible within the scope of the invention.
[0051] The panels 5 used may be made of wood or composite materials or even include metallic materials.
[0052] A lot 2 also includes means for attaching each panel 5 between two cables 4.
[0053] For its purposes, the solution illustrated in particular in figures 2 and 3 comprises a groove 6 in each of the transverse faces of the panel 5 through which a cable 3 passes. And the attachment is ensured by five staples 7 which imprison a cable 3 in the groove 6 of a panel 5. Other attachment systems not shown are compatible within the scope of the invention.
[0054] The clips 7 can be made of composite materials or include metallic materials such as stainless steel.
[0055] Visible in [Fig.1], each lot 2 is attached to a high structure 8 and a low structure 9, the two high structures 8 and low structures 9 being fixed to the facade 3.
[0056] Various solutions for attaching the cables 4 to an intermediate structure 10 are possible within the scope of the invention. Figure 4 illustrates an example of an embodiment of an intermediate structure 10 comprising an upper structure 8 and a lower structure 9. The illustrated upper structure 8 comprises a first elongated profile 11 to which the ends of the cables 3 of the sunshade and ventilation device 1 are attached, and this first elongated profile 11 is held by a plurality of first clips 12 which are themselves attached to a first plate 13 of the facade 3. The illustrated lower structure 9 comprises a second elongated profile 14 to which the ends of the cables 3 of the sunshade and ventilation device 1 are attached, and this second elongated element 11 is held by a plurality of second clips 15 which are themselves attached to a second plate 16 of the facade 3.The second clamps 15 are each connected to a tension spring 17 which allows each of the second clamps 15 to be pulled and thus the cables 3 to be stretched vertically. The term vertically is relative to the facade 3. Thus, the sunshade and ventilation device 1 is parallel to the facade of a building. This facade 3 may include an angle with the Earth's frame of reference; the building may, for example, be tilted.
[0057] According to one embodiment of the invention, visible in particular in [Fig.1], the adjacent or so-called neighboring lots 2 of a sunshade and ventilation device 1 are linked two by means of several fixing systems for two cables 3.
[0058] These fastening systems may include a ferrule 20 visible in [Fig. 5]. A ferrule, a ferrule, or a clip may be used to hold together the two neighboring cables 3 from two adjacent sets 2.
[0059] In [Fig.1], two adjacent lots 2 are held together by means of eleven ferrules 20 arranged at the offset between each panel 5.
[0060] Other styles of batch formation 2 and of assembly comprising various batches are compatible with the invention.
[0061] Figures 6 to 8 illustrate various embodiments comprising different openwork structures for a sunshade and ventilation device 1.
[0062] In [Fig. 6], an assembly comprises four identical sets 2. A set 2 comprises twelve substantially identical first panels 5a intended to cover the lower part of the facade 3 and ten substantially identical second panels 5b intended to cover the upper part of the facade 3. The first panels 5b are taller than the second panels 5b. The space between two consecutive panels 5a, 5b is greater for the second panels 5b, this space gradually increasing towards the top of the set 2 intended to be placed towards the top of the facade 3.
[0063] Figure 7 illustrates another example of an embodiment of an assembly comprising four lots 2, with two identical lots 2 separated by one lot 2. However, the lots 2 comprise six substantially identical first panels 5a intended to cover the lower part of the facade 3 and five substantially identical second panels 5b intended to cover the upper part of the facade 3. The first panels 5b are taller than the second panels 5b. The space between two consecutive panels 5a, 5b is substantially identical along a lot 2 except towards the middle of the lot 2 where this space is slightly reduced for aesthetic purposes.
[0064] Another embodiment of an openwork structure is illustrated in [Fig. 8] with an assembly comprising four identical sets 2, two sets 2 separated by a set 2 being in the same plane. A set 2 comprises twelve substantially identical first panels 5a intended to cover the lower part of the facade 3, and ten substantially identical second panels 5b intended to cover the upper part of the facade 3. The first panels 5b are taller than the second panels 5b. The space between two consecutive panels 5a, 5b is greater for the second panels 5b, this space gradually increasing towards the top of the set 2 intended to be placed towards the top of the facade 3. Two adjacent sets 2 are not in the same plane, i.e., there is a 150-degree angle between two adjacent sets 2. According to the illustrated embodiment, the first twelve panels 5a have different thicknesses, thus enhancing the aesthetic appearance.
[0065] The design of a facade sunshade and ventilation device 1 comprising one or more sets of lots 2 allows for manufacturing lot 2 by lot 2 and assembly of a set of lots 2 in the workshop before being mounted on site.
[0066] To this end, the invention also relates to a manufacturing device for a batch 2 for a sunshade and ventilation device 1. An example of an embodiment of a manufacturing device designated by reference 30 is illustrated in figures 9 to 12.
[0067] A manufacturing device 30 according to the invention comprises a frame 31 having a conveyor belt 32 intended to receive the batch being manufactured and thus having a direction of advancement of manufacturing.
[0068] The manufacturing device 30 includes two cable distribution systems 4. Two reels 33 for winding a cable 4 visible in figures 9 to 11 are thus mounted upstream and below the conveyor belt 32 in order to be able to unwind the cables 4 towards an insert station 34 of a panel 5.
[0069] The insert station 34 is advantageously located above the reels 33 and includes two staplers 35 arranged opposite each other and mounted on rails 36 allowing the staplers 35 to be positioned according to the dimensions of the panel 5 desired.
[0070] Fig. 12 illustrates a plate 37 for advancing the manufacturing device 30. The plate 37 includes two lugs 38 suitable for receiving the end of a cable 4. The lugs 38 are suitable for translating on the plate 37 so as to select the desired spacing corresponding to the width of the panel 5 selected.
[0071] The conveyor belt 32 includes a longitudinal opening 38 and the plate 37 includes a feed element 39 extending through the opening 38 and fixed to a feed system allowing the rectilinear translational movement of the plate 37 along the conveyor belt 32. According to this embodiment, the feed system includes a pull cable 40 connected, on the one hand, to the feed element 39 of the plate 37 and, on the other hand, to a motorized rotation axis 41 located under the conveyor belt 32 at the opposite end of the insert station 34.
[0072] To manufacture a batch 2 for a sunshade and ventilation device 1 according to the invention using a manufacturing device 30 as described above, the two cables 4 from the reels 33 are attached to the lugs 38 of the feed plate 37. The lugs are positioned on the plate 37 so that the distance between the two cables corresponds substantially to the width of the selected panels 5.
[0073] The advancement system is controlled in order to put the cables 4 under tension.
[0074] A first panel 5 selected is placed at the insert station 34 between the cables 4, cables 4 passing through the grooves 6 of panel 5 and staplers 35 are positioned respectively at the level of the first staples to be placed on cables 4 and the two transverse faces of panel 5.
[0075] The two staplers are activated so as to staple each cable 4 into each groove of the panel 5.
[0076] A control unit allows the advancement of the plate 37 in order to position the staplers 35 at the level of the second staples to be placed on the cables 4 and the two transverse faces of the panel 5.
[0077] This step is repeated for as many staples as there are to be attached.
[0078] The control unit then activates the advancement of the plate 37 to create the desired space between two consecutive panels 5 of batch 2 and another selected panel 5 is positioned on the insert station 34.
[0079] The control unit then activates the fastening systems in conjunction with the advancement system in order to progressively attach each panel 5 introduced, thus creating a batch 2 according to the desired openwork structure.
[0080] According to this illustrated embodiment, the mat 32 comprises a length corresponding to the maximum length of a batch 2. Batch 2 is stored in accordion or in the form of a reel.
[0081] According to another embodiment not shown, batch 2 is produced continuously and can be retrieved at the end of the conveyor belt 32, for example in the form of a reel or accordion-style. Batch 2 is cut to the required length.
[0082] A set comprising several selected lots 2 is then assembled.
[0083] And, one or more assemblies are brought to the site of the façade 3 of the building to be ventilated to be mounted directly on the façade 3 or on an intermediate structure 10 provided for this purpose.
[0084] Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention within the scope of the annexed claims.
