Self-contained rainwater collector

Abstract

Automated and autonomous rainwater collection device. The invention relates to a device for collecting rainwater autonomously and automated by its control system. It consists of a collecting structure in the shape of an inverted umbrella which opens upon detection of rain to capture the water and supply a reserve. Wind, rain and temperature sensors are there to control the system via a linear actuator and to secure the equipment against possible bad weather (strong wind, storm, snow). A filter / collector positioned in the center of the tarpaulin (forming the inverted umbrella) ensures the anti-clogging of the system (leaves, etc.) and the conversion of the water flow to a standard irrigation pipe connection. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the collection of clear water for domestic, agricultural, industrial or security use.

1. The rainwater collector in its first version is square in shape and with 4 branches, but could evolve into 8 branches with a hexagonal shape, or even a free shape.

2. The addition of an extension is possible at the end of the masts to increase the capacity of the device.
