Description

Title of the invention: Anti-parasite collar

[0001] The present invention relates to devices for maintaining and diffusing an antiparasitic product on an animal, in particular a dog or a cat.

[0002] The present invention aims to create a collar that minimizes the number of devices used.

[0003] There are known systems for holding a product on an animal, in particular the fur or skin of a dog or cat, which allow the product to be kept as close as possible to the area to be treated.

[0004] Known solutions, however, do not allow the product to be diffused over a wide area and have the disadvantage of concentrating the product on a small surface, which limits its effectiveness, or may even prove toxic to animals or humans.

[0005] The sheath has a tab for inserting an antiparasitic product, which allows an antiparasitic chemical to be kept in place, and this tab prevents the product from coming into contact with the user's skin and the animal's fur since the user does not touch the antiparasitic product, which is often extremely toxic to humans, and is particularly dangerous when a person, especially a child, catches the animal.

[0006] The invention aims to overcome at least some of the aforementioned disadvantages and to offer a two-in-one system antiparasitic collar that is capable of combining the advantages of speed, simplicity and reliability for its implementation to treat an animal.

[0007] In view of the foregoing, the invention relates to an antiparasitic collar for animals intended to hold an antiparasitic chemical product for animals, comprising a strap, two complementary closure elements configured to be able to close the collar in a loop closed on itself, a sheath attached to the strap, said sheath having an inner face provided with a microperforated body and an outer face made of waterproof material, i.e. waterproof to an antiparasitic treatment molecule included in the chemical product, the inner face being provided with a pouch having an opening and configured to allow the diffusion of the antiparasitic treatment molecule through said microperforated body.

[0008] Preferably, the sheath is fixed to the strap.

[0009] For example, the sheath is mounted in translation on the strap so as to be able to slide along and around the strap.

[0010] Advantageously, the sheath has a finishing thickness around the perimeter of said sheath.

[0011] According to one embodiment, the complementary closure elements are two complementary male and female clip clasps configured to cooperate with each other.

[0012] In one embodiment, the clip fasteners are curved.

[0013] Advantageously, the collar includes at least one tightening buckle configured to increase or shorten the length of the strap.

[0014] The collar may further provide that the pouch is placed in the center of the sheath.

[0015] Alternatively, the pouch is placed near one end of the sheath.

[0016] The invention also relates to a collar in which the micro-perforated body is composed of a material comprising polyester and / or micro-alveolar fabric of the "mesh" or "air mesh" type.

[0017] The invention will be better understood upon a detailed study of some embodiments taken by way of non-limiting examples and illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0018] [Fig. 1] represents the collar according to a first embodiment, in front view.

[0019] [Fig.2] represents the collar according to the first embodiment, in rear view.

[0020] [Fig.3] represents the collar according to a second embodiment, in front view.

[0021] [Fig.4] represents the collar according to the second embodiment, in rear view.

[0022] [Fig.5] represents the collar according to a third embodiment, in front view.

[0023] [Fig.6] represents the collar according to the third embodiment, in rear view.

[0024] Figure 1 illustrates the collar of the invention in front view, according to a first method of realization.

[0025] In the first embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 in front and rear views, the antiparasitic collar for animals 1 comprises a strap 3, two complementary closure elements 4,5 configured to be able to close the collar 1 in a loop closed on itself, a sheath 2 linked to the strap 3, said sheath 2 having an inner face provided with a microperforated body and an outer face made of waterproof material, the inner face being provided with a pouch 11 having an opening 12 and configured to allow the diffusion of an antiparasitic treatment molecule through said microperforated body.

[0026] The strap 3 includes, for example, loops and folds 9, the folds forming loops into which said loops are inserted.

[0027] The invention thus relates to a collar 1 offering combined protection against fleas and ticks, mosquitoes, in particular tiger mosquitoes, and more generally parasites of animals, in particular dogs and cats, while ensuring increased comfort for the animal.

[0028] It can be foreseen that the opening 12 includes a buttonhole opening, with an elastic element, a lace... for inserting a capsule of antiparasitic product.

[0029] The micro-perforated body forms a porous, aerated sheath in contact with which is installed the antiparasitic product, which allows its internal diffusion over a wide area, down to the animal, at the level of its skin or fur, as close as possible to the area to be treated.

[0030] Preferably, the sheath 2 is fixed on the strap 3, as in the first embodiment, as well as in the second embodiment illustrated by Figures 3 and 4.

[0031] The sheath 2 is for example fixed to the strap 3 by seams 13.

[0032] In the third embodiment illustrated by Figures 5 and 6, the sheath 2 is mounted in translation on strap 3 so as to be able to slide along and around strap 3.

[0033] The sheath 2 then has two openings 6,7 through which the strap 3 passes.

[0034] An improved design is obtained with particularly advantageous additional pattern options.

[0035] Thus, two designs are described: the first with an adjustable strap and an attached fabric sheath, the second with a fastening of these elements to each other.

[0036] Both options include a mesh support to form the micro-perforated body to facilitate efficient transfer of the treatment to the correct location, including a micro-alveolar “mesh” or “air mesh” type fabric.

[0037] The product is available in four adjustable sizes (S / M / L / XL).

[0038] Advantageously, the sheath 2 has a finishing thickness 10 on the perimeter of said sheath 2, which improves the aesthetic appearance, in particular by protecting the perimeter of the sheath.

[0039] According to one embodiment, the complementary closure elements 4,5 are two complementary male and female clip clasps configured to cooperate with each other.

[0040] In one embodiment, the clip fasteners 4,5 are curved, which improves the comfort of the animal, since said clip fasteners 4,5 and the loop formed by the strap 3 and the sheath 2 form a substantially circular loop around the neck of said animal.

[0041] Advantageously, the collar 1 includes at least one tightening buckle 8 configured to increase or shorten the length of the strap 3.

[0042] The collar 1 may further provide that the pouch 11 is placed in the center of the sheath 2, which improves the homogeneity of the diffusion of the antiparasitic product.

[0043] Alternatively, the pouch 11 is positioned near one end of the sheath 2, which allows for increased comfort.

[0044] The invention also relates to a collar in which the micro-perforated body is composed of a material comprising polyester and / or micro-alveolar fabric of the "mesh" or "air mesh" type, which is an anglicism designating a type of semi-perforated fabric. croalveolus known in the industrial field of sports textiles.

[0045] This provides effective parasite protection combined with the effect of the collar 1 and a chemical treatment which can be added, and left to the discretion of the animal's owner, who may use a chemical treatment or not.

[0046] The increase in comfort and safety for the animal is real, since it only has one single collar around its neck.

[0047] To use the collar 1, simply insert a treatment capsule into the pouch 1, which is for example in a mesh on the diffusing inner face of the collar 1, attach the collar 1 around the neck of the animal, and use the two complementary fastening elements 4,5 and the buckle 8 to adjust the collar 1 to the perfect size for the animal, so that the treatment effectively penetrates through the semi-perforated body and onto the neck area of the animal.
