Abstract
The invention relates to the protection of a battery charging installation (1) against fires, the charging installation (1) comprising a charging location (2) and a charging terminal (3) for charging a battery (B) present on the charging location (2). A measuring system (19) measures data independently of the battery (B) from outside the battery (B). At least one parameter is determined based on the data from the measuring system (19). A notification is generated if the determined parameter exceeds an alert threshold, and a mitigation action is commanded in response to the notification. The mitigation action comprises cutting off a power supply (4) of the charging terminal (3) and / or commanding an interruption of the charging of the battery (B). Figure for abstract: Figure 1
