Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Clamp specific and complementary to another clamping tool or other fixed structure
[0001] This present invention relates to a specific clamp complementary to another clamping tool or other fixed structure which holds this specific clamp fixedly in a horizontal or horizontal-looking position so that its clamping jaws are oriented vertically to allow positioning and blocking of materials in a vertical or oblique position or at an angle against another material.
[0002] In this field of clamping tools, multiple diverse and varied tools are used, but however, during certain work to be carried out, very often multiple manipulations are necessary due to a lack of specific equipment and the use of tools that are not well suited to carrying out certain work.
[0003] The aim of this present invention is to provide progress through the simplicity of use of its clamping elements and its maneuverability in terms of orientation and rapid and easy implementation of the specific clamps (1) for achieving different positions of materials to be adjusted or for other work to be carried out.
[0004] The subject of the invention consists of a specific clamp structure (1) designed to be used in pairs of identical or similar clamp structures to be held fixedly by another set of clamps or other clamping tools, or also able to be held fixedly on a stable support, such as on an iron bar or other rigid perforated material and blocked in a vice or sealed on a workbench or on a wall by means of connecting pieces comprising locking elements such as screws and nuts or by intermediate connecting pieces held on the workbench by clamping tools, such as clamps or vice-grips.
[0005] This specific clamp structure (1) consists of a notched sliding rail (2) comprising at one end a threaded end piece (3) fixedly sealed such as by welding or fixed in a removable manner by connecting parts to be removable.
[0006] This sliding rail (2) of this specific clamp structure (1) is equipped with at least two fixed or sliding jaws (4) oriented in the same or opposite direction. This sliding rail (2) is also provided with at least one sliding guide arm (5) comprising a clamping screw (6) provided with a rotating operating handle (7) for clamping and loosening a positioned material.
[0007] This specific clamp structure (1) is completed by different accessory elements (8) and (14) and pivotable intended to be fitted onto a fixed or sliding jaw (4) and onto this rotating plate (9) of the end of its clamping screw (6). By this means, the clamping elements (4) and (5) sliding on these notched sliding rails (2) these said clamping elements (4) and (5) allow offset positions on a sliding rail (2) of a specific clamp structure (1) relative to the positioning of said clamping elements (4) and (5) of the other cooperating specific clamp structure (1), thus making it possible to carry out oblique horizontal or oblique vertical positions of stably positioned materials and thus carry out positions of a V-shaped or similar configuration of placed materials, thus forming an acute angle at the junction point of these said placed materials.
[0008] An accessory element structure (8) consists of a rigid piece of planar shape on two opposite sides (10) and (11) which are perpendicular to their base, this accessory element (8) comprises at least on one of its two other opposite sides (12) and (13) an inclined face of a chosen angle of inclination and equal to that of the same accessory element (8) of the specific clamp (1) cooperating in such a way as to allow a material resting there to be positioned there in a single or different oblique position depending on the configuration of the angles of the faces of the two opposite sides (12) and (13) where a material rests, such as for example an inclination of 30° and 45°.This accessory element (8) has a cylindrical perforation (17) perpendicular from its base to its upper end to allow it to be fitted onto a fixed or sliding jaw (4), in addition a small perforation on a perpendicular side (10) or (11) is made to allow a locking screw (18) to be screwed into it to keep this accessory element (8) fitted a few millimeters above the notched sliding rail (2) when tightening this said locking screw (18) to ensure that a fixed or sliding jaw (4) maintains the necessary clearance to be able to lock into a notch in the sliding rail (2) of a specific clamp structure (1).
[0009] Another structure of accessory element (14) consists of a tip having a cylindrical or other shape and comprising an oblique contact surface (15) designed to bear against a material positioned in an oblique plane so that said contact surface intended to block a material is applied thereto as best as possible and in the opposite part this accessory element (14) comprises a cylindrical cavity (16) designed to allow said accessory element (14) to fit onto this rotating plate (9) with the end of its vice screw (6) to be held there by forced fitting or by means of integrated locking screws. This accessory element (14) forms a covering tip with an oblique end of beveled shape.
[0010] Another removable accessory element (19) is added to each specific clamp structure (1) to serve as a stabilizing wedge when using the specific clamp (1) in the extension of another clamping tool fixed to a workbench or similar structure to which it is connected. This wedging element (19) is of a configuration in the form of an irregular prism of beveled shape having an oblique surface in the upper part so as to be able to be slid progressively under the free end of the sliding rail (2) to create a blocking thrust by the support that it takes on a workbench top or other support surface, to thus eliminate any possible flexibility of the sliding rail (2) by making it very rigid by a blocking pressure exerted at the end of said sliding rail (2). This accessory element (19) in the form of a wedge is not represented by a figure.
[0011] This specific clamp (1) of this present invention can be produced industrially by the use of well-known materials such as metal with a protective coating against corrosion and other materials such as wood or synthetic materials such as certain plastic materials and other materials.
[0012] [Fig.l] shows a side view of a specific clamp structure (1) fitted into another clamping tool, such as a clamp-type clamping tool to be held securely by clamping and locking.
[0013] [Fig.2] represents a side view of a specific clamp structure (1) and complementary clamp held fixedly by another clamping tool, such as a clamp-type clamping tool holding this specific clamp (1) equipped with accessory elements (8) and (14).
[0014] [Fig.3] represents the accessory element (14).
[0015] [Fig.4] represents the accessory element (8).
