Description

Title of the invention: Electromagnetic suction cup for a door or window immobilizing device using electromagnetic attraction

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of systems for immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction, particularly in a building, and relates to an electromagnetic suction cup for a device immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction. It also relates to an electromagnetic strip comprising at least one such electromagnetic suction cup. Furthermore, it relates to such an immobilization device comprising at least one such electromagnetic suction cup. Finally, it relates to such a door or window comprising such an immobilization device.

[0002] It is known that a device for immobilizing (or holding) a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction installed in a building or structure has the function of immobilizing / holding the opening, that is to say the moving part of the door or window, also called the leaf depending on the type of door, in a closed position, or even in an open position for certain doors such as fire doors.

[0003] Such an electromagnetic attraction locking device comprises at least one metal plate, called a plywood plate, generally attached to the opening sash, and at least one electromagnetic lock, generally attached to the fixed frame (or frame or sash or door or window frame). The electromagnetic lock is either fixed directly to a fixed frame, or to an opening sash, or fixed within a profile itself fixed directly to a fixed frame, or to an opening sash. The assembled profile and electromagnetic lock are commonly referred to as an electromagnetic strip.

[0004] The electromagnetic suction cup comprises an electromagnetic housing and a mounting interface for attaching the electromagnetic housing, and therefore the electromagnetic suction cup, to a support. The support is generally formed by the profile of an electromagnetic strip or directly by a fixed (or opening) frame. The electromagnetic housing, which has an elongated shape, extends along a longitudinal axis and comprises a generally rectangular parallelepiped-shaped casing and an electromagnet fixed within the casing. The casing has an open face forming the front face, called the attraction face, of the electromagnetic housing. The electromagnet is capable and intended, in its activated state when an electric current flows through it, to produce, across the attraction face, an electromagnetic attraction force having The effect is to hold the plywood against or near the attraction face, thus immobilizing the door or window in the closed or open position. The electromagnetic housing is generally housed, at least partially, in a recess in the support.

[0005] The mounting interface comprises two mounting fins, made of metal or aluminum, forming two mounting lugs for the electromagnetic suction cup, extending on either side of the electromagnetic housing substantially in the plane of the attraction face and each at one end of the electromagnetic housing. Each mounting fin has at least one circular (or round) mounting hole. Thus, the mounting interface comprises at least one pair of mounting holes defining a center-to-center distance between the two mounting holes for mounting the electromagnetic suction cup. The two mounting holes are aligned on an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the electromagnetic housing. This fixing center distance represents the distance between two fixing axes, each passing through one of the two circular fixing holes, and corresponds to the fixing center distance defined between two equally circular holes drilled in the support to which the electromagnetic suction cup is fixed. The two holes are located on either side of a recess in the support that receives the electromagnetic housing.

[0006] During mounting, the mounting holes of the two mounting lugs are each aligned with one of the corresponding holes in the support. To complete the mounting, the mounting interface further includes mounting screws, each passing through one of the circular mounting holes and being screwed into the corresponding hole in the support. Typically, to reinforce the mounting, the mounting interface includes four circular mounting holes, i.e., two pairs of circular mounting holes, each mounting lug then comprising two circular mounting holes, each defining, together with one of the two circular mounting holes of the other mounting lug, the mounting center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup.

[0007] Regarding the specific shape of the mounting interface, it generally comprises either two one-piece mounting pieces, made of metal or aluminum, each incorporating one of the mounting lugs, or a single one-piece mounting piece, made of metal or aluminum, incorporating both mounting lugs. Each mounting piece further incorporates a mounting flange extending parallel to the mounting lugs and allowing the mounting piece to be attached to the electromagnetic housing, more particularly to its rear face opposite the attraction face. The mounting flange includes at least one circular mounting slot, generally two circular mounting slots aligned on an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the electromagnetic housing. The mounting interface further comprises mounting screws, each passing through one of the circular mounting slots. screwed into the rear face of the electromagnetic housing so as to permanently, or reversibly, fix each fixing piece to the electromagnetic housing.

[0008] However, it frequently happens that the mounting hole spacing of a bracket does not correspond to the predefined mounting hole spacing of the electromagnetic suction cup during its manufacture. This variation in mounting hole spacing from one bracket to another is relatively small (on the order of a few millimeters) but sufficient to prevent the electromagnetic suction cup from being attached to the bracket affected by this variation or to necessitate redrilling the original holes in the bracket. However, redrilling is an additional operation that increases the time and cost of installation and also weakens the load transfer in each modified hole.

[0009] The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks.

[0010] For this purpose, the electromagnetic suction cup, according to the present invention, for a device for immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction, the electromagnetic suction cup being suitable and intended to be fixed by screwing onto a support having at least two holes defining a fixing center distance of the support, the electromagnetic suction cup comprising:

[0011] - an electromagnetic housing in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped extending the along a longitudinal axis and having a front face, called the attraction face, and a rear face opposite to it,

[0012] - a mounting interface allowing the electromagnetic housing to be mounted on the support and comprising for this purpose at least one pair of fixing holes defining a fixing center distance for the electromagnetic suction cup and fixing means of the fixing screw type,

[0013] is characterized in that the fixing interface is configured so as to be able to modify the fixing center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup to adapt it, if necessary, to the fixing center distance of the support.

[0014] The present invention also relates to an electromagnetic strip suitable and intended to be fixed to a frame or sash of a door or window, said electromagnetic strip comprising a profile forming a support and at least one electromagnetic suction cup, said profile having at least one housing and at least two holes defining a center distance for fixing the support, characterized in that the or each electromagnetic suction cup consists of an electromagnetic suction cup according to the present invention and in that the electromagnetic housing of the or each electromagnetic suction cup is housed in the or one of the housing(s) of the profile and is fixed to the profile by means of the fixing interface.

[0015] The present invention also relates to a device for immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction, said device immobilization comprising, on the one hand, at least one plywood and, on the other hand, at least one electromagnetic suction cup suitable and intended to cooperate with the or at least one of the plywood(s) by an electromagnetic attraction effect, characterized in that the or each electromagnetic suction cup consists of an electromagnetic suction cup according to the present invention.

[0016] The present invention further relates to a door or window comprising a frame and at least one sash, said door or window further comprising a device for immobilizing the sash of the door or window by electromagnetic attraction comprising, on the one hand, at least one piece of plywood attached to the sash, or to the frame, and, on the other hand, at least one electromagnetic suction cup attached to the frame, or to the sash, characterized in that the immobilizing device consists of an immobilizing device according to the present invention and in that the or at least one of the electromagnetic suction cup(s) is fixed by means of the fixing interface either on a support formed by the frame or the sash or on a support formed by the profile of an electromagnetic strip fixed to the frame or the sash.

[0017] Thus, thanks to the fixing interface according to the present invention, the present invention makes it possible to adapt the fixing center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup to the fixing center distance of a support without requiring intervention on the support.

[0018] The invention will be better understood from the following description, which relates to a preferred embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, and explained with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings, in which:

[0023] [Fig.5] shows the electromagnetic suction cup shown in [Fig.4] with The suction cup mounting hole spacing was modified after adjustment to adapt it to the mounting hole spacing of a support.

[0024] [Fig.6] is a perspective and partially exploded view of the suction cup electromagnetic field represented in [Fig. 4] or 5,

[0025] [Fig.7] shows, in perspective view, a device for immobilizing a opening door or window by electromagnetic attraction including the electromagnetic suction cup shown in [Fig.6].

[0026] The figures show an electromagnetic suction cup V, according to the present invention, for a device for immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction.

[0027] The opening is the movable part of the door or window, also called the sash depending on the type of door, in a closed position, or even an open position for certain doors such as fire doors.

[0028] Such an electromagnetic suction cup V is suitable and intended to be fixed by screwing onto a support S having at least two holes SI, S2 defining a fixing center distance El of the support S.

[0029] The support S may be a suitable electromagnetic strip profile intended to be fixed to a frame or sash of a door or window. The support S may also be formed by the frame or sash itself, and in this less frequent case, the electromagnetic lock is then fixed to the frame or sash forming the support S, i.e., without an intermediate element such as an electromagnetic strip profile.

[0030] The electromagnetic suction cup V, according to the present invention, comprises:

[0031] - an electromagnetic housing 1 of rectangular parallelepiped shape extending the along a longitudinal axis X and having a front face, called the attraction face 1a, and a rear face 1b opposite to the latter,

[0032] - a mounting interface 2 allowing the electromagnetic housing 1 to be mounted on the support S and comprising for this purpose at least one pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b defining a fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V and fixing means of the fixing screw type 2c.

[0033] The fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V represents the distance between two fixing axes, in particular two screw axes of two fixing screws 3 or other equivalent fixing elements, each passing through one of the two holes 20a, 20b of the or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b. The fixing center distance El of the support S represents the distance between two fixing axes XI, in particular two screw / rotation axes of two fixing screws or other equivalent fixing elements, each passing through one of the two suitable holes SI, S2 intended to be placed respectively opposite the relevant fixing holes 20a, 20b of the electromagnetic suction cup V (figures 3 and 7). Each drilling SI, S2 thus defines the position of a fixing / rotation / screwing axis XI on the support S on which a fixing screw 2c must be able to align itself, passing through a fixing hole 20a, 20b of the fixing interface 2 of the electromagnetic suction cup.

[0034] Preferably, as can be seen in Figures 1 to 7, the mounting interface 2 may comprise two mounting fins forming two mounting lugs 21a, 21b of the electromagnetic suction cup V and each extending (in the assembled state) to one end of the electromagnetic housing 1, preferably substantially in the plane of the attraction face la. Each mounting lug 21a, 21b has one of the two mounting holes 20a, 20b, i.e., one of the two mounting holes 20a, 20b of the or each pair of mounting holes 20a, 20b.

[0035] Preferably, as can be seen in figures 1 to 7, to reinforce the fixing of the fixing interface 2 on a support S, the latter may include at least four fixing holes 20a, 20b, i.e. at least two pairs of fixing holes 20a, 20b. In this example, each fixing lug 21a, 21b can then include at least two fixing holes 20a, 20b, each defining, for the same pair, with one of the two fixing holes of the other fixing lug 21a, 21b, the fixing center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup V. In the mounted state, the two fixing holes 20a, 20b made in each fixing lug 21a, 21b are, preferably, aligned (one next to the other or one above the other, on the same axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the electromagnetic housing 1).

[0036] It is understood that each fixing hole 20a, 20b of the or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b is suitable and intended to be placed opposite one of the holes SI, S2 of such a support S. To achieve the fixing of the fixing interface 2 on the support S, each fixing screw 3 passes through a fixing hole 20a, 20b and is screwed into one of the holes SI, S2 of the support S placed opposite, which has the effect of pressing each fixing lug 21a, 21b against the support S, i.e. against a surface of the support S. This surface of the support S may surround or be adjacent to a housing S3 provided in the support S and receiving, at least in part, the electromagnetic housing 1 of the electromagnetic suction cup (figures 3 and 7). The support S may include one or more suitable S3 housings, each intended to receive, at least in part, the electromagnetic housing of an electromagnetic suction cup V.Such a housing S3 can be provided / made directly in a frame (or where applicable in a sash) or in a profile, known as an electromagnetic strip profile, suitable and intended to be fixed to a frame (or where applicable in a sash). Thus, in the state where the electromagnetic housing 1 is housed, at least in part, in the housing S3, the two fixing lugs 21a, 21b of the fixing interface 2 can be located outside the housing S3, on either side of the housing S3, and pressed against the surface of the support S flush with, or adjacent to, the receiving opening of the housing S3.

[0037] The fastening interface 2, in a form as illustrated in all the accompanying figures, may comprise two one-piece fastening pieces 2a, 2b, preferably each incorporating one of the two fixing ears 21a, 21b. It is understood that when the two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b each incorporate one of the two fixing ears 21a, 21b, each one-piece fixing piece 2a, 2b can be made in one piece with the corresponding fixing ear 21a, 21b.

[0038] In another form, not illustrated, the fastening interface 2 may comprise a single one-piece fastening element, preferably able to then integrate the two fastening lugs 21a, 21b.

[0039] In these two embodiments of the fastening interface 2, the one-piece fastening element(s) 2a, 2b may include at least one fastening slot 22a, 22b allowing the one-piece fastening element(s) 2a, 2b to be attached to the electromagnetic housing 1, preferably to the rear face 1b of the electromagnetic housing 1, preferably using fastening means such as fastening screws 2d. Thus, such fastening screws 2d may pass through the respective fastening slots 22a, 22b and screw into the rear face 1b of the electromagnetic housing 1. Preferably, the electromagnetic housing 1 may have threaded holes or pre-drilled holes for receiving the fastening screws 2d.

[0040] Preferably, in these two embodiments of the fixing wing 2, each fixing piece 2a, 2b may further comprise a fixing wing 23a, 23b extending parallel to the fixing ears / fins 21a, 21b and comprising the or at least one of the fixing light(s) 22a, 22b passing through the fixing wing 23a, 23b. The fixing screws 2d allow the fixing wing 23a, 23b of the or each fixing piece 2a, 2b to be fixed by each passing through the or one of the fixing slots 22a, 22b and screwing into the or one of the hole(s) / tap(s) of the rear face 1b of the electromagnetic housing 1, which has the effect of clamping the fixing wing 23a, 23b onto the rear face 1b of the electromagnetic housing.

[0041] The electromagnetic housing 1 comprises a housing Id of generally rectangular parallelepiped shape and an electromagnet le fixed in the housing Id. The housing Id has an open face forming the front / attraction face la of the electromagnetic housing 1. The electromagnet le is capable and intended, in the activated state when an electric current flows through it, to produce through the attraction face la, an electromagnetic attraction force having the effect of holding a plywood C against or near the attraction face la and thus immobilizing the opening in the closed or open position.

[0042] Referring to Figures 2 and 6, it can be seen that the electromagnetic housing 1 can include, at each of its ends, a shoulder If adapted to receive or receiving a return 24a, 24b from each fixing lug 21a, 21b. This known feature makes it possible to reinforce the retention and / or prevent the deformation or bending of the fixing piece(s) 2a, 2b fixed to the electromagnetic housing 1.

[0043] In accordance with the present invention, the fixing interface 2 is configured so as to be able to modify the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V to adapt it, if necessary, to the fixing center distance El of the support S.

[0044] This adaptation amounts to allowing the alignment of the fixing axis (of each fixing screw 2c) passing through each fixing hole 20a, 20b of the fixing interface on the fixing axis XI of each drilling SI, S2 of the support S placed opposite the corresponding fixing hole 20a, 20b.

[0045] As can be seen in Figures 1 to 3, in a first embodiment allowing modification / adjustment of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V, at least one of the two fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the one or each pair of fixing holes), preferably both fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the one or each pair of fixing holes), is / are each oblong so as to allow said modification (or adjustment) of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V to adapt it, where appropriate, to the fixing center distance E1 of the support S. Such an oblong fixing hole 20a, 20b, compared with a circular hole in electromagnetic suction cups of the prior art, allows free movement of the fixing axis passing through the oblong fixing hole 20a, 20b in the direction of the latter's elongation and therefore to modify the fixing center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup E2, E'2.We can see on [Fig.1] that such oblong fixing holes 20a, 20b allow at least two different positions, in particular two extreme positions, of the fixing axes (or fixing screws 2c) in the oblong fixing holes 20a, 20b and therefore at least two different fixing center distances E2 and E2', one of which E'2 is larger by a few millimeters for example.

[0046] It is understood that in this first embodiment allowing the modification / adjustment of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V, the fixing interface 2 can be in the embodiment comprising a one-piece fixing piece integrating the two fixing ears 21a, 21b or in the embodiment comprising the two one-piece fixing pieces each integrating one of the two fixing ears 21a, 21b.

[0047] In a second embodiment allowing modification / adjustment of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V, the fixing interface 2 is configured so as to be able to modify (or adjust) the spacing between the two fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the one or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b) so as to allow modification of said fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V to adapt it, where appropriate, to the fixing center distance E1 of the support S (according to variations in the center distances of the supports S). In this embodiment, due to the possible adjustment of the spacing between the two fixing holes 20a, 20b, the latter can be circular (or round) (figures 1 to 3), that is to say in a shape which does not allow, unlike an oblong hole of the first embodiment, to release in the fixing hole 20a, 20b the displacement of the fixing axis XI passing through the fixing hole 20a, 20b.

[0048] In this second embodiment allowing modification / adjustment of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V, the fixing interface 2 is preferably in the embodiment illustrated in the attached drawings comprising the two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b each integrating one of the two fixing ears 21a, 21b. In addition, at least one of the two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b is movable in translation relative to the electromagnetic housing 1 and the other fixing piece 2a, 2b, preferably along an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis X (of the electromagnetic housing 1 / of the electromagnetic suction cup), so as to be able to adjust the spacing between the two fixing pieces 2a, 2b, which has the effect of modifying the spacing between the two fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b) which are each made in one of the two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b.Preferably, as can be seen in figures 4 to 7, the two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b can be movable relative to the electromagnetic housing 1 and to each other, which allows a balanced transfer of the clamping forces of the fixing to both ends of the electromagnetic suction cup V.

[0049] Still in this second embodiment, to allow the movement of the movable fixing piece(s) 2a, 2b, the fixing slot(s) 22a, 22b of at least one of the two fixing pieces 2a, 2b may have an oblong shape (Figures 4 to 7). Such an oblong fixing slot 22a, 22b allows the fixing screw 2d, passing through the oblong fixing slot 22a, 22b, to move freely within and along the oblong fixing slot. Thus, it is possible to obtain at least two fixing positions for each fixing screw 2d. We can see in particular on [Fig.4], the fixing screws 2d, passing through the oblong fixing slots 22a, 22b, in a first position at one of the ends of the latter and, on [Fig.5], in another position at the opposite end of the latter. These two positions, for example, allow for two extreme positions of the spacing adjustment between the two fixing pieces 2a, 2b relative to each other, and therefore two different fixing center distances for the electromagnetic suction cup V. It is understood that the adjustment is made after loosening the fixing screws 2d passing through the fixing slots 22a, 22b.

[0050] Preferably, the fixing piece or each fixing piece thus made movable in translation may comprise at least two oblong fixing slots 21a, 21b so as to achieve, by their alignment and orientation, and with the fixing screws 2d passing through them, a sliding link with the electromagnetic housing 1 allows translational guidance of the or each movable fixing piece 22a, 22b along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the electromagnetic housing 1. Preferably, as can be seen in figures 4 to 7, the oblong fixing lights 22a, 22b can be aligned on an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the electromagnetic housing 1 and oriented along their length in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the electromagnetic housing 1.

[0051] Preferably, the oblong fixing hole or holes 20a, 20b (allowing the fixing interface 2 to be fixed to a support S) and / or the oblong fixing light or holes 22a, 22b (allowing the fixing of the fixing piece or pieces 2a, 2b to be fixed to the electromagnetic housing 1), is oriented in its length along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the electromagnetic housing 1 (or of the electromagnetic suction cup V).

[0052] The present invention may provide (form not illustrated in the accompanying figures), in a third embodiment, a combination of the first and second embodiments mentioned above allowing the modification / adjustment of the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V. In this third embodiment, at least one of the fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b) is oblong and the fixing interface 2 can be configured to allow adjustment of the spacing between the two fixing holes 20a, 20b (of the or each pair of fixing holes 20a, 20b).Preferably, in this third embodiment, the fixing interface 2 can be in the illustrated form described above, comprising two one-piece fixing pieces 2a, 2b, each incorporating one of the two fixing lugs 21a, 21b, and at least one of the two fixing pieces 2a, 2b being movable in translation relative to the electromagnetic housing 1 and to the other fixing piece 2a, 2b. This third embodiment allows the user to choose the means of adjusting the fixing center distance E2, E'2 of the electromagnetic suction cup V by adjusting / modifying the relative position of the two fixing pieces 2a, 2b with respect to the electromagnetic housing 1 and with respect to each other and / or the position of the fixing axis in the oblong fixing holes 20a, 20b.

[0053] Referring now to Figures 1 to 3, it can be seen that the mounting interface 2 can further comprise at least one additional mounting opening 26a, 26b, independent of the mounting center distance E2, E2' of the electromagnetic suction cup V and the self-drilling screw type mounting means. This feature makes it possible to reinforce the mounting of the mounting interface 2 on the support S without requiring drilling into the support. The user can then, after mounting the electromagnetic suction cup V on the support S, supplement this mounting with a additional fixing using self-drilling screws through the additional fixing openings 26a, 26b and each screwing in by drilling its own hole in the support S. Preferably, in the form as illustrated in figures 1 to 3 where each fixing lug 21a, 21b has two fixing holes 20a, 20b superimposed (or located one above the other) or located one next to the other (depending on the orientation of the electromagnetic strip 1), such a fixing opening 24a, 24b for self-drilling screw will be made in the fixing lug 21a, 21b on an axis passing between the two fixing holes 21a, 21b.

[0054] To allow the passage of cables (not shown) supplying power to the electromagnet or any other element of the electromagnetic housing or electromagnetic suction cup requiring a power supply or electrical connection, it can be seen in Figures 2 to 7 that one or at least one of the mounting parts 2a, 2b may include a passage opening 25a, for example in the form of a slot, allowing such cables to pass through the opening 25a and the relevant mounting part 2a, 2b to move relative to said cables. Such a passage opening 25a may then preferably extend in the direction of the translational movement of the relevant mounting part 2a, 2b.

[0055] The present invention also relates to an electromagnetic strip, as can be seen in Figures 3 and 7, suitable and intended to be fixed to a door or window frame or sash (not shown). The electromagnetic strip comprises a profile forming a support S and at least one electromagnetic suction cup V. The profile S has at least one recess S3 and at least two holes SI, S2 defining a fixing center distance (El) for a support S (or the profile). Preferably, the recess S3 extends longitudinally between the two holes SI, S2.

[0056] According to the present invention, in such an electromagnetic strip, each electromagnetic suction cup V consists of an electromagnetic suction cup V according to the present invention. Furthermore, the electromagnetic housing 1 of each electromagnetic suction cup V is housed in the housing(s) S3 of the profile S and is fixed to the profile S by means of the fixing interface 2. The fixing by means of the fixing interface 2 to a support S is described above and is therefore not repeated here, the profile of the electromagnetic strip itself forming such a support S.

[0057] The present invention further relates to a device for immobilizing a door or window opening by electromagnetic attraction, said immobilizing device comprising, on the one hand, at least one plywood plate C and, on the other hand, at least one electromagnetic suction cup V. The electromagnetic suction cup or suction cups V are adapted and intended to cooperate with the plywood plate(s) C by an electromagnetic attraction effect. Such an immobilizing device is illustrated in Figures 3 and 7.

[0058] According to the present invention, in such an immobilization device, the or each electromagnetic suction cup V consists of an electromagnetic suction cup V according to the present invention.

[0059] Such a locking device can thus be fitted to a door or window, for example, of a building or structure. In its installed state, it allows the opening, or at least one of the openings, of the door or window to be immobilized by electromagnetic attraction. Depending on the type of door or window, it can be designed to immobilize the opening in a closed or open position. When the electromagnetic lock(s) V is fixed in an electromagnetic strip profile, the locking device can then include the strike plate(s) C and the electromagnetic strip.

[0060] The present invention also relates to a door or window comprising a frame and at least one sash, said door or window further comprising a device for immobilizing the sash of the door or window by electromagnetic attraction comprising, on the one hand, at least one plywood C attached to the sash, respectively to the frame, and, on the other hand, at least one electromagnetic suction cup V attached to the frame, respectively to the sash.

[0061] The plywood C can be fixed to the opening or the fixed part or, as can be seen in figures 3 and 7, in a profile S' fixed to the opening or the fixed part.

[0062] According to the present invention, in such a door or window, the locking device consists of such a locking device according to the present invention. In addition, the or at least one of the electromagnetic suction cup(s) V is fixed by means of the fixing interface 2 either to a support S formed by the frame or the sash or to a support S formed by the profile of an electromagnetic strip and fixed to the frame or the sash.

[0063] Thus, thanks to such a fixing interface 2 according to the present invention, the user can adapt / adjust, directly on the installation site, the fixing center distance of the electromagnetic suction cup V to the fixing center distance of the support S, which fixing center distance may vary from one support S to another, without requiring any intervention on the support S, such intervention increasing the time and cost of installation. It also makes it possible to avoid producing, on the manufacturing site, i.e., before their installation, series of electromagnetic suction cups specifically adapted to the different fixing center distances of the existing supports S.

[0064] Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications remain possible, particularly with regard to the composition of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
