Abstract

A lid (20) intended to be connected to a food storage container (10) can be placed on the upper edge (13) of the side wall (11) of the storage container (10) and snapped into place. The lid (20) has a peripheral sealing profile made of elastomer. It comprises a central area (21) with a downward-extending support crossbar (22) and an edge area (23) surrounding the central area (21), which is made of a thermoplastic elastomer and into which the sealing profile is integrated. The central area (21) is made of a harder thermoplastic material than the elastomer edge section (23). The edge section (23) has on the outer periphery a clamping ring (23.5), in which a receiving area for the upper rim (13) of the storage container (10) is formed between the support cross member (22) on the inner side and the clamping ring (23.5) on the outer side.Fig. 4.
