Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: "Freely indexed espagnolette" FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a free-indexing espagnolette. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] We already know of an espagnolette fitting the shutters of a bay and allowing their closed position to be locked with the support of the shutters against the front of a high or low stop attached to the bay and the tilting of the fingers attached to the two ends of the operating rod of the espagnolette, against the back of the stops, the rod being pivoted by the handle coming into a fork-shaped support carried by the other shutter in the closed position to lock the shutters in the bay.
[0003] Such an espagnolette 200 represented in figures 1 and 2 and in its installation on two shutters VI, V2 closing a bay according to [Fig.3], equipped with lower and upper stops 207 to which the espagnolette is attached ([Fig.3A]).
[0004] The espagnolette 200 consists of an operating rod 201 fixed by collars 206 to the back of the shutter V1 near its vertical edge and carrying at each of its ends an end piece 202 formed of a sleeve integral with the end of the operating rod and carrying a finger 222 coming against the inner face of the stop 207 (high or low), of the bay 101. The shutters VI, V2 rest on the front face of a stop, thus defining the closed position of the shutters VI, V2.
[0005] The operating rod 201 carries a body 203 engaged in rotationally on the operating rod and held in axial position on the rod by a collar 206 coming between the two arms of the body 203. The body 203 carries a handle 204 pivoting around the axis (uu) of the pivot 232 of the body and coming into the closed position in a support 205 carried by the other flap V2, near its vertical edge.
[0006] To facilitate the description, [Fig. 1] is supplemented by an orthogonal coordinate system (X, Y, Z) defining the vertical direction Z, the horizontal direction X of the closing plane of the bay which is the plane of the closed shutters VI, V2 and the direction Y perpendicular to this plane (Z, X).
[0007] The rod 201 is engaged in the open collars 206, forming bearings for the operating rod 201 which pivots between the open position and the closed position of the espagnolette 200, as shown in [Fig.1].
[0008] The operating rod 201 ([Fig.2], part A) is a solid rod or generally a tubular rod, with a circular cross-section and a longitudinal groove 2011 for securing and indexing in rotation the ends 202 and the body 203 of the espagnolette 200 compared to rod 201 and allow them to be maneuvered for opening and closing by locking the assembly in the closed position.
[0009] This groove 2011 is located at the rear of the rod, turned towards the flap VI in the locked position and the keyed rib of the body and the tips can be appropriately integrated into the sleeves of the tips 202 and the body 203.
[0010] The body 203 ([Fig.2] -part B) consists of a part for example with two branches 2030 each provided with a hole 2031 aligned on the axis ZZ with internally the rib forming the key to secure the body 203 in rotation (pivoting) to the rod 201.
[0011] The body 203 engages by sliding on the operating rod 201, being rotationally fixed to the latter by the engagement of its rib 2032 in the groove 2011 of the operating rod 201.
[0012] The body 203 has a pivot with axis (uu), perpendicular to the vertical axis ZZ of the operating rod 201. This pivot 2033 receives the handle 204 to allow it on the one hand to operate the rod 201 and to rotate it around the axis ZZ to engage or disengage the tips 202 from behind the stops 207 and put them in the storage position when the flap V1 is open or to rotate in the opposite direction to apply the fingers 2022 of the two tips 202 against the lower stop 207 and the upper stop 207, and thus lock the flap V1 in this closed position. In this pivoting position of the operating rod 201, the handle 204 can pivot around the axis (uu) of the pivot 2033 and engage in a fork-shaped support 205, fixed to the flap V2, thus securing the second flap V2 against the front of the stop 207 by the fingers 2022 of the applied tips tightened against the rear of the stops 207.
[0013] The fork-shaped support 205 can be fitted with a lock to secure the handle 204 in the fork and prevent it from being lifted from outside the shutters by passing, for example, through the gap between the two opposite edges of the shutters VI, V2 in the closed position.
[0014] The tips 202 have the same shape or at least a symmetrical shape with a sleeve 2021 having a rib 2023 forming a key to engage the sleeve 2021 on the upper or lower end of the operating rod 201 and engage its tongue in the groove 2011 to lock the tip 202 to the operating rod 201 in rotation.
[0015] According to this assembly, the end caps 202 and the body 203 carrying the handle 204 are rotationally fixed to the operating rod 201 by the position of their respective rib (key) according to the predefined thickness of the stop 207 with respect to the plane of the rear face of the flaps VI, V2 by moving away from the support 205 with respect to this same plane.
[0016] The drawback of this known espagnolette 200 is that it requires upper and lower stops of specific thickness so that, in the locked position, with the fingers 2022 of the end pieces 202 pressed against the inner side of the stops, the espagnolette handle 204 can engage in its fork-shaped support 205. This engagement is precisely adjusted to ensure that the assembly is locked accurately and securely, resisting gusts of wind and remaining silent, by firmly locking the flaps VI, V2 against the outer face of the stops 207 and the fingers 2022 of the end pieces against the inner face of the stops 207.
[0017] The arrangement of the various parts that define the closing position of the espagnolette must be precise, as must the thickness of the stops. If the stops 207 are thicker than prescribed, the operating rod 201 will not be able to pivot sufficiently to engage the handle 204 in the support 205 and will require, for example, repositioning the support 205 or using shims to compensate for the different thicknesses, which also hinders the locking of the handle.
[0018] PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
[0019] The present invention aims to develop a espagnolette allowing installation on shutters taking into account the variable thicknesses of the stops and ensuring the correct closure of the espagnolette with its possible locking.
[0020] DESCRIPTION AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0021] To this end, the invention relates to a freely indexing espagnolette fitting the shutters of a bay window, to lock their closed position against the front of a stop (upper or lower) integral with the bay window comprising:
[0022] - an operating rod fitted with a handle and carried by one of the flaps, the handle being engaged in the closed position within a support that is integral to the other panel,
[0023] - end caps fixed to both ends of the operating rod that come into contact against the back of the stops, receiving the flaps in the closed position, and
[0024] - a body having a head whose passage is traversed by the operating rod and a extension with a pivot on a transverse axis carrying the handle to rotate the operating rod between the open and closed positions of the espagnolette, around the axis of the rod
[0025] - the handle pivoting around its axis to engage or disengage from the support,
[0026] This espagnolette being characterized, in that it comprises
[0027] the head free in translation and rotation relative to the operating rod passing through its passage comprising a wedge freely interposed between the surface of the passage and the surface of the operating rod to allow adjustment of the head and to be forcibly engaged between the surface of the passage and that of the operating rod and to lock the head on the rod in the adjusted position of the body carrying the handle.
[0028] The espagnolette according to the invention allows for the orientation, that is to say, the indexing of the head carrying the handle relative to the rod, which is provided with a groove, in the installation position without being held by the orientation of the groove. Adjusting the orientation of the body relative to the operating rod, which is held in the closed position by the end pieces pressing against the stops, and placing the handle in the support, allows for adjusting the correct orientation of the body relative to the rod and then locking this adjustment to secure the head and handle to the rod, thus enabling the espagnolette to be operated for opening and closing.
[0029] Thus, the pre-assembled espagnolette, installed on the shutters, is adapted to the different parameters which can vary from one window environment to another, especially in the case of a renovation.
[0030] This possibility of individual adjustment of each installation also prevents the espagnolette from being forced in use and risking being deformed or stressed excessively, which is detrimental to its reliability or even forcing and stressing the fixings of the espagnolette to the shutters.
[0031] In addition, this espagnolette structure allows the rod to be kept in its usual shape with a groove for locking the ends in rotation, transmitting the closing forces exerted by the handle on the rod.
[0032] This espagnolette advantageously comprises:
[0033] - a ring-shaped wedge
[0034] - a tapping in the passage
[0035] - a threaded sleeve through which the operating rod is screwed into the thread from the head to forcefully engage the wedge in the gap between the passage and the rod and to secure the body in rotation and translation on the operating rod.
[0036] The ring-shaped wedge simplifies the integration of this wedge into the pre-assembly of the espagnolette in the pre-assembled position which will simply be tightened, without intervention by the installer at the level of this pre-assembly.
[0037] Advantageously, the wedge has an axial rib of complementary shape to the section of the groove of the rod and in relief of its surface coming against the operating rod to engage in its groove and be rotationally fixed to the operating rod.
[0038] This axial rib prevents the wedge from being positioned in any way within the space reserved for it and also prevents it from pivoting under the effect of the clamping movement.
[0039] In particular, the wedge is a split ring having an axial rib of complementary shape to that of the groove of the operating rod.
[0040] According to another characteristic, the passage of the head has, in order along the axis:
[0041] - an inlet with a threaded hole larger in cross-section than the cross-section of the rod maneuver
[0042] - an inverted frustoconical surface joining
[0043] - a cylindrical surface corresponding to the cross-section of the operating rod,
[0044] and the threaded sleeve has
[0045] - a cylindrical inner surface corresponding to that of the operating rod
[0046] a smooth cylindrical end beyond the thread to bear against the wedge and
[0047] - a screwing collar for screwing the threaded sleeve into the tapping.
[0048] This structure facilitates installation, adjustment, and tightening of the position indexing of the head relative to the stem.
[0049] In the espagnolette, according to the invention, the head is completed by a cylindrical insert that fits into the passage of the head, which is cylindrical, smooth, and provided with an axial groove and
[0050] - the cylindrical insert has a rib for engaging in the axial groove and a a collar to rest against the underside of the head, and
[0051] - the inner surface of the insert comprising
[0052] * a tapped hole to receive the threaded sleeve and terminated by
[0053] * a smooth crown and after this
[0054] * an inverted frustoconical surface to receive the wedge, in particular the ring.
[0055] This embodiment simplifies the manufacture of the body since the functions of the The body is transferred to the insert, which is a part that is practically symmetrical in rotation and, under these conditions, simpler to machine than if it were the espagnolette. Although the body, handle, and end caps can have any shape compatible with the characteristics stated above, which is very advantageous for simplifying manufacturing and standardizing installations, the body, handle, or end caps are segments of profiles with axes parallel to the axis of the operating rod in the installed position.
[0056] In particular, the body profile has a cross-section comprising:
[0057] * a cylindrical part forming a passage with a rotation surface without the relief which would correspond to the groove in the stem and
[0058] * an extension forming at least one branch carrying the pivot of the handle, and notably
[0059] - the body has two parallel branches forming a guiding and holding interval the handle and
[0060] - one of the branches has a pivot formed by the circular cylindrical head of a screw whose The threaded rod is screwed against the inner face of one of the arms and defines the axis of the handle.
[0061] - the other branch having an access window to the screw head,
[0062] - the handle having one side whose end comes into the gap with a hole diameter corresponding to that of the screw head to pivot around it with the handle.
[0063] Advantageously, the outer face of the branch with the pivot on its inner face is recessed to receive support and guidance for the other side of the handle, which strengthens the guidance and protects the pivot since in the closed position, the forces (reactions) exerted by the flaps are absorbed by the contact of the surfaces of the body and the handle and not by the pivot.
[0064] According to another feature, the handle of a profile segment having
[0065] - two branches connected by a crossbar set back from the end of both sides, of which
[0066] * the end of a branch beyond the cross member has a bore engaged on the pivot and coming in the interval
[0067] * the other side comes against the other face of the branch bearing the pivot,
[0068] - a gripping element connecting the other end of the branches forming a relief turned towards the plane of the shutters and arriving substantially in the plane of the shutters when the handle is engaged in the support.
[0069] This structure protects the espagnolette against the forces exerted on the shutters since these forces are received by the handle itself, which is connected to the body.
[0070] The connection between the rod and the tip is advantageously simple and reliable in that the tip is a profile segment whose cross-section has a cylindrical part to form the sleeve and an extension with a straight side to form the finger and its bearing surface,
[0071] * a screw hole being machined in the sleeve opening into the rib for lock the end of the rod with the screw.
[0072] According to another feature facilitating manufacturing and installation, the support is a profile segment with an H-shaped cross-section constituting an H-shaped skeleton, one branch of which is the application branch for fixing to the shutter and the other branch forms a tooth defining, with a first branch, the open interval of the fork formed by the support,
[0073] this second side extending to form a grip under the crossbar connecting the two arms, the gap between the two arms receiving the handle, and
[0074] - the skeleton receiving a glove covering the end of the two branches. Brief description of the drawings

[0092] DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENT METHODS
[0093] According to a first embodiment, the free indexing espagnolette 100, the representation of which in figures 4, 4A and 4B is limited to the assembly of the body 3 on the operating rod 1, comprises a solid or tubular rod; in both cases the section is circular or can be assimilated to a circular section with a hollow deformation of the section constituting a groove 11 to secure in rotation the tips 2b and the handle 4 via the body 3 on the rod 1.
[0094] The body 3 has a partially cylindrical or more generally relief head 31 fitting into a wraparound surface of revolution so that the body 3 of the espagnolette can pivot with the rod 1 without encountering the surface of the flap VI against which the rod 1 is fixed with a gap reduced to a minimum for the freedom of pivoting of the rod 1 fitted with the body of the espagnolette.
[0095] According to [Fig.4A], the head 31 of the body 3 continues by a two-branch extension 36 carrying and guiding the handle 4 by a pivot 32 outlined by its axis (uu).
[0096] The handle 4 is schematically represented by a blade installed on the pivot 32 with axis (uu) sufficiently far from the axis ZZ and thus from the rod 1 so that in the open position of the shutter, the handle can hang in the vertical position 4' while remaining accessible by hand, through a sufficient space relative to the rod 1.
[0097] To engage the handle in the support 5, not shown, it is enough to lift it above the opening of the support 5, fixed to the other flap V2.
[0098] Fig. 4B shows the body 3 of the espagnolette 100, secured to the rod 1 in its adjusted position, indexed by tightening the threaded sleeve 34 in the head 31.
[0099] According to the detailed views A and B of [Fig.5], the head 31 is drilled with a passage 30 with a threaded hole 312 of a diameter greater than that of the rod 1 to receive the threaded sleeve 34. The threaded hole 312 continues with an inverted frustoconical surface 313 whose radius decreases to a cylindrical edge 314 adapted to the cross-section of the rod 1. This edge 314 is continuous, without any particular relief so that this part of the body in contact with the rod 1 is free to rotate relative to the rod 1 on which it is engaged.
[0100] The head 31 is completed by a wedge in the form of a split ring 33, conical (outer surface) and cylindrical (inner surface). The inner surface of the wedge 33 is provided with an axial rib 331 with a cross-section complementary to that of the groove 11 of the operating rod 1, thus securing the wedge 33 against the rod 1 in rotation.
[0101] The conicity of the split ring-shaped wedge 33 corresponds to that of the frustoconical surface 313 in which it engages.
[0102] The threaded sleeve 34 has a notched collar 3421 above its thread 341 which screws into the tapped hole 312.
[0103] The thread start 341 is preceded by an unthreaded ring 343, with a smooth edge, to bear without catching on the top 332 of the split ring 33 and to engage in the remaining gap between the frustoconical surface 313 and the rod 1 by bearing on the top of the split ring 33 to compress it in the gap and to secure the body 3 to the rod 1 in the set position.
[0104] The inner diameter of the threaded sleeve 34 is, within play, that of the operating rod 1 in order to be able to slide on it.
[0105] As will be shown later, the installation of the body 3 on the rod 1 is done by the untightened pre-assembly of the components of the head 31 on the operating rod 1 and the placement of the upper and lower tips 2 which are rotationally fixed to the rod 1.
[0106] The clamps 6 for securing the operating rod 1 are threaded onto the rod 1 if they are closed or if they do not open sufficiently to be clipped onto the operating rod 1. The clamps 6 are fixed to hold the rod 1 close to the end caps 2 and close to the body 3, preferably underneath it, slightly away from the surface of the shutter so as not to hinder the movement of the operating rod 1. The espagnolette 100 is installed by securing the operating rod 1 with its clamps 6 and the support 5, then adjusting the body 3 along the operating rod 1 and its appropriate orientation (indexing) relative to the operating rod 1 so that the fingers 22 of the end caps 2 are firmly pressed against the stops 7 and the handle 4 can fit into the support 5.The tightening in the set position is achieved by the threaded sleeve 34 bearing on the split ring 33 which remains rotationally fixed to the rod 1 and locks into the frustoconical surface 313 of the body 3, locking the latter in this position on the rod 1. Tightening is preferably done with a wrench 8 of the type used for fire hose couplings, hooking into the notches 3421 of the collar 342 to screw the sleeve.
[0107] Figures 6 and 7 show another embodiment 100a of a free-indexing espagnolette according to the invention, the schematic representation of which is also limited here to the part of the body 3a at the junction of the operating rod la and the connection of the handle 4a to the body 3a. The components of this espagnolette 100a, identical or similar to those of the first embodiment 100, bear the same numerical references, supplemented by the suffix (a).
[0108] According to [Fig.6] the operating rod la is a solid or tubular rod of circular or possibly polygonal cross-section with facets, reduced to be able to pivot freely in the housings of the collars 6a fixing the operating rod la in a free rotational manner to the flap VL It has a longitudinal groove lia.
[0109] The body 3a is secured in axial position and in oriented position, adjusted (indexed) by its head 31a to the rod la by a tight connection via a wedge in the form of a split ring 33a in a manner analogous to the connection of the first mode of realization but with interposition of an insert 35a, reproducing the structure of the head 31 of the first embodiment 100.
[0110] The head 31a has a passage 30a with a smooth cylindrical surface 311a, provided with an axial groove 315a (direction ZZ). The cylindrical surface 311a receives a sleeve-shaped insert 35a with a smooth cylindrical outer surface 351a.
[0111] The outside diameter of the insert 35a corresponds to the diameter of the smooth surface 311a to engage in it by a tight fit, the rib 355a coming into the axial groove 315a of the cylindrical surface 31 la and its collar 356a bearing against the underside of the head 31a; the inside diameter of the thread 352a of the insert 35a is larger than the diameter of the operating rod la.
[0112] According to [Fig.7] part A, the inner surface of the insert 35a consists of an inlet with a threaded hole 352a, ending in a smooth ring 3521a. This ring 3521a continues as an inverted frustoconical surface 353a, of decreasing diameter to meet a cylindrical edge 354a, of diameter adjusted to that of the operating rod la so as to be able to slide on it.
[0113] This inner surface of the insert 35a is a replica of the inner surface of the head 31 of the body 3 of the first embodiment; in other words, the head 31 of embodiment 100 transfers its functions to the insert 35a, which is rotationally fixed to the head 31a by its rib 355a which fits into the axial groove 315a of the head 31a. This groove 315a is advantageously located in the thick part of the head 31a at the base of the arms 36a ([Fig. 6]) which carry the handle 4a.
[0114] The locking of the body 3a onto the operating rod la is achieved, as before, by a split ring 33a, which acts as a wedge and is engaged in the inverted frustoconical surface 353a of the insert 35a and compressed by the threaded sleeve 34a. This compression simultaneously results in the locking of the insert 35a against the cylindrical surface 31 la of the head 31a and the locking of the insert 35a against the split ring 33a, itself prevented from rotating relative to the operating rod la by the engagement of its rib 331a in the groove 1 la of the rod la. Thus, the body 3a is locked onto the rod la in the adjusted (indexed) orientation chosen according to the bearing of the end caps against the stops 7 of the bay and the position of the support (not shown) receiving the handle 4a.
[0115] This angular position of the handle 4a is not predefined but chosen on the construction site according to the installation to be carried out.
[0116] According to [Fig. 6], the body 3a carries the handle 4a by means of the pivot 32a, schematically represented by its transverse axis (uu) supported by the two arms 36a, which receive and guide the end of the handle 4a. In the closed position, the handle is engaged in the support (not shown). This espagnolette 100a thus consists of the rod la, of the body 3a, the handle 4a, the support and the end caps as well as the stops, these unreferenced elements are not represented.
[0117] Figures 8, 9 show another embodiment 100b of the espagnolette in which the assembly of the body 3b on the operating rod 1b locks for free indexing as in the first and second embodiments described above but whose components are made from slices or segments of profiles of appropriate section.
[0118] According to [Fig. 10], the espagnolette 100b consists of an operating rod 1b with a longitudinal groove 11b generally located on the "rear" side, facing the shutter when the espagnolette 100b is in the closed position as shown. The rod 1b terminates at its ends in two end caps 2b fitted onto the ends and rotationally fixed by their rib 323b which fits into the groove 11b. The end caps 2b have a top closed by a plug 24b ([Fig. 8]).
[0119] A high 6b collar and a low 6b collar hold the rod 1b against the flap V1 between the two ends 2b.
[0120] In the intermediate position, accessible by hand, generally at the height of the window cremone handle, the rod 1b carries the body 3b and the closed handle 4b, in the horizontal alignment of the body 3b, engaged in the fork-shaped support 5b, fixed to the other shutter V2.
[0121] The shapes of the body 3b and the handle 4b appear in the enlarged view of [Fig.9] and in the horizontal sections (perpendicular to the axis ZZ in the position of [Fig.9]) shown in parts A and B of [Fig. 10] by a plane passing through the pivot 32b of the handle and by a parallel plane above it.
[0122] The body 3b is a profile segment of section 303 ([Fig. 12]) composed of a cylindrical part 3031 and an extension 3036.
[0123] The slice cut from the profile 303 represents the height of the body 3b to be machined by a few simple operations to create the tapped hole and the frustoconical surface to receive a threaded sleeve identical to the sleeve 34 already described. The cylindrical part 3031 of the section forms the cylindrical head 31b, fitted onto the rod 1b with an assembly by means of a threaded sleeve 34b compressing a split ring 33b pressed directly against the operating rod 1b and the cylindrical head 31b, or via an insert for the assembly version not shown as a variant of this embodiment, the other components being the same.
[0124] The extension 3036 of the profile section forms the two arms 361b, 362b separated by an interval 363b receiving the end of a blade-shaped side 41b of the handle 4b to hold and guide it by the pivot 32b; this is formed by a cylindrical head screw 321b, screwed by its threaded rod 322b into a tapped hole 3611b of the arm 361b along the axis (uu) ([Fig. 10] part A).
[0125] The pivot 32b is positioned through a window 3621b of dimensions compatible with the branch 362b.
[0126] Side 41b has a bore 411b of diameter corresponding to that of the head 321b forming a bearing; the assembly of the handle 4b to the body 3b is done by aligning the bore 411b on the axis (uu) of the tapped hole 3611b and then screwing the pivot 32b through the window 3621b, for example circular in the shape of the bore.
[0127] The handle 4b is thus held and guided around the pivot 32b in the interval 363b by the contact surfaces of the faces of the branches 361b, 362b with the blade faces 41b.
[0128] According to [Fig.9] and especially [Fig.12] (part AA), the branch 361b has a rounded end in an arc of a circle around the axis (uu) or the pivot 32b to take account of the particular shape of the handle 4b as will be seen later.
[0129] This rounded end of the branch 361b, the inside of the head 31b with its tapped hole 312b, its conical surface 313b and its cylindrical surface 314 (see [Fig.5] part A), the tapped hole 3611b and the bore 3621b are the only parts to be machined on the body blank formed by the slice of the section profile 303.
[0130] In the case of a body 3b fixed to the rod 1b with an insert 35a as in the embodiment of Figures 6 and 7, the profile has a slightly different cross-section 303' with a portion 3031' having a larger inner diameter than the cylindrical surface 311a to receive the insert 35a and the axial groove 315a, the shape of the extension 3036 being the same. The edge of the body 3' ([Fig. 12], portion BB) is machined as for forming the pivot of the handle of the body 3b.
[0131] According to Figures 9 and 10, side 41b is held on pivot 32b in the gap 363b occupied by the head 321b of the pivot. This head may have a height that allows it to remain partially within the window 3621b without protruding, in order to reinforce the holding of side 41b.
[0132] The thickness of the arm 361b carrying the pivot is increased compared to that of the arm 362b to have a sufficiently long tapping without however protruding towards the other side 42b of the handle.
[0133] According to the cross-sectional view of [Fig. 10] part A, in its shown cross-sectional plane, the end of the arm 362b has a push button 3622b, and the relief 451 of the gripping part 45 has a push button 452b to soften any contact between these two parts 362b, 451b and the flaps VI, V2, and to dampen any noise. The plane 102 of the flaps VI, V2 is shown in [Fig. 10] part A.
[0134] According to figures 9 and 10, the handle 4b is composed of two sides 41b, 42b in the form of blades, connected by a crossbar 43b leaving between them an interval 44b and ending with a gripping element 45b with a relief 451b on the flap side, connecting the other ends of the sides 41b, 42b.
[0135] The handle 4b engages by its sides 41b, 42b and its gap 44b in and around the fork-shaped support 5b.
[0136] The arm 41b engages in the gap 53b between the application side 51b of the support 5b and its tooth 52b, the arm 42b engaging on the outer side of the tooth 52b.
[0137] The handle 4b is a slice of profile with a cross-section of 304 according to [Fig. 13] part A to obtain the handle 4b directly by only making the hole 411b and that of the fixing of the button 452b on the relief 451b.
[0138] The support 5b according to [Fig.9] part B is also a profile segment of section 305 in the shape of H, the side 51b of which is the fixing plate of the support 5b to the flap V2 and the other side forms the tooth 52b delimiting the interval 53b receiving the side 41b of the handle 4b, the interval 44b of the handle 4b engaging on the tooth 52b.
[0139] This tooth 52b has an upper end 521b forming a retaining hook, which covers the side 42b of the handle 4b which also rests on a shoulder 522b at the bottom of the gap 53b so as to hold tightly the side 42b of the handle whose gripping element 45b corresponds to the end of the handle 4b beyond the part coming into the support 5b.
[0140] To dampen noise, the support 5b is capped with a glove having the shape of the upper half of the skeleton 50b of the support 5b coming into contact with the handle 4b ([Fig. 13] part BB).
[0141] The skeleton 50b of the support 5b is a slice of profile with a cross-section of 305 according to [Fig. 13] part BB. This slice with an H cross-section has two branches 5511 and 5512 forming the two teeth 511b and 512b of the skeleton 50b.
[0142] The arm 511b extends the full height of the bracket 5b to fit snugly against the shutter V2, to which the arm is screwed. The arm 511b is connected to the arm 512b by a cross member 513b. The upper end of the arm 511b, as well as the cross member 513b, is drilled with holes 541b and 542b for the bracket fixing screws. The arm 512b is truncated to allow access to the holes 541b. The arm 512b is extended and offset beyond the cross member 513b to form a grip 514b for grasping and holding the shutter V2, to which this bracket 5b is attached, thus facilitating the engagement of the handle in the bracket 5b.
[0143] The skeleton 50b of the support 5b only requires machining of the two holes 541b, 542b and then the fitting of the glove once the skeleton is fixed to the flap V2. The glove completes the shape of the second tooth with its end 521b.
[0144] A variant 5'b of the support simplifies the shape of the second tooth 52'b of the glove, the skeleton 50b being the same with the same references, supplemented by (') without being redrawn ([Fig.9] part C).
[0145] The end caps 2b are obtained from a profile having the cross-section 302 shown in part A of [Fig. 1 1]; this cross-section combines a cylindrical part 3021 forming a sleeve 21b internally provided with a relief 3023 forming the rib 323b as a key to cooperate with the groove 11b of the operating rod 1b.
[0146] Following the cylindrical part 3021 of the section 302 has an extension 3022 with a straight side to obtain the rough of the tip 2b ([Fig. 11] part AA) whose machining is limited to a tapped hole 211b for a screw 104, locking the tip 2b on the end of the operating rod 1b.
[0147] The face 221b of the finger 22b is flat to apply flat against the stop 7 of the bay.
[0148] The nozzle 2b is reversible in shape since it is open-ended, so that it is used as a high nozzle and as a low nozzle.
[0149] The open collars 6b are also obtained as a slice of a section profile 306 according to [Fig. 11] part B with a cylindrical passage 61b closed over more than half a perimeter to retain the rod 1b. The arms 62b are simply drilled for the fixing screws to the shutters with counterbores 621b to conceal the heads of the fixing screws.
[0150] The offset collars 6'b are obtained from the section profile 306' of [Fig. 11] part C; this collar 6'b consists of a sleeve 63'b extended by a tab 64'b. The collars 64b are machined with a counterbore 641b to have a tab of the same thickness for both screwing points, so as to standardize the screws and also conceal the screw heads.
