Description

Title of the invention: Vacuum cleaner accessory holder and docking station equipped with such a vacuum cleaner accessory holder. Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners for vacuuming dust and waste present on a surface to be cleaned, which can for example be tile, parquet, laminate, carpet or rug. State of the art

[0002] A cleaning system comprises, in a known manner:

[0003] - a vacuum cleaner comprising: • a main casing including a connection nozzle, • a gripping handle mechanically connected to the main housing, • a waste separation and collection device mounted on the casing main and fluidly connected to the connecting nozzle, • a suction head configured to be in contact with a surface to be cleaned, • a vacuum cleaner hose mechanically and fluidly connecting the nozzle to the suction head, and • a suction motor housed in the main casing, the suction motor being configured to generate an airflow through the suction head, the vacuum duct, the connection nozzle, and the waste separation and collection device, and

[0004] - a docking station configured to accommodate the vacuum cleaner and to position this last in a storage position in which the vacuum cleaner extends substantially vertically.

[0005] Advantageously, such a docking station may include an accessory holder configured to support various vacuum cleaner accessories (such as brushes of different sizes, an extended suction nozzle or a small nozzle) suitable for being connected to the connection nozzle in place of the vacuum cleaner hose.

[0006] The accessory support generally comprises a support plate which may, for example, be provided with various mounting holes offset laterally from each other and in each of which an end of the respective accessory is suitable for mounting, or be provided with various tubular support members offset laterally from each other and in each of which an end of the respective accessory is suitable for mounting.

[0007] Given such an arrangement of the tubular support members or mounting holes, the accessory support is likely to have a relatively large lateral footprint when the cleaning system is equipped with a large number of vacuum cleaner accessories.

[0008] In addition, depending on the ranges of vacuum cleaners marketed by the same manufacturer, the connection nozzles belonging to said vacuum cleaners may have different dimensions, which implies in particular equipping each type of cleaning system with a dedicated accessory support, in order not to equip the same accessory support with too many support elements and thus not to significantly increase the size of such an accessory support. Summary of the invention

[0009] The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these drawbacks.

[0010] The technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular of providing an accessory support which is of simple and ergonomic structure, while having a reduced footprint.

[0011] To this end, the present invention relates to an accessory support configured to support vacuum cleaner accessories, the accessory support comprising a first support member configured to support a first vacuum cleaner accessory and a second support member configured to support a second vacuum cleaner accessory, characterized in that the first support member comprises a first tubular mounting portion provided with a first central axis and adapted to cooperate with a circumferential surface of the first vacuum cleaner accessory so as to support the first support accessory, and in that the second support member comprises a second tubular mounting portion provided with a second central axis and adapted to cooperate with a circumferential surface of the second vacuum cleaner accessory so as to support the second support accessory,The first and second central axes of the first and second tubular assembly sections are substantially coaxial, and the second tubular assembly section extends around the first tubular assembly section.

[0012] Such an arrangement of the first and second support members makes it possible to limit considerably the size of the accessory support according to the present invention, or at least to be able to equip the accessory support with a large number of support members without affecting the compactness of the accessory support.

[0013] In addition, such a configuration of the first and second support members allows for the storage of vacuum cleaner accessories of different diameters.

[0014] The accessory support may also have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination.
