TITLE: Method for managing the replay of content that has been broadcast in real time. The invention relates to a method for managing the transmission of data relating to a description file describing the addresses of segments of content that have been broadcast, characterized in that it comprises, a preliminary step of obtaining a plurality of description files, called index files, describing segments that have been broadcast over different broadcast time periods; and a description file, called the root file, associated with said plurality of index files; a step of transmitting data (Ad-MNF-rac) representative of the root file; a step of receiving back the data representative of the root file (Ad-MNF-rac) and a time data point (tj) representative of a delayed playback time; a step of transmitting the index file (Ad-MNF(j)) associated with the root file and said time data point.
