Abstract
A method for determining a speed value of a single-track vehicle, in particular an eBike, wherein the vehicle has at least one accelerometer and a yaw rate sensor comprises: measuring vehicle acceleration in at least three directions means of the accelerometer; measuring a rotation rate of the vehicle around at least two axes of rotation with the means of the yaw rate sensor; determining a driving situation of the vehicle based on the measured accelerations and rotation rates of the vehicle, and; determination of the speed value of the vehicle on the basis of the kinematics of the vehicle, the determined driving situation and the measured accelerations and rotation rates of the vehicle. The result may be used to check the plausibility of another speed sensor.
