Universal joint structure for a windsurfing board

Abstract

A universal joint structure 10 for a windsurfing board (50, Fig 1) comprises a rubber column 11 and a joint holder 20 disposed at both ends of the rubber column. The rubber column has a long axis-shaped axial bar 12, and a larger diameter mounting head 13 is formed at each end of the axial bar. The joint holder is a ring binder formed by a mounting base frame 21 and a cover frame 25, which can encase the mounting head on the adjacent centre post when assembled so that it can be directly detected whether the rubber column is broken from the outside. It is also easy to disassemble and replace quickly. At the same time, the use of metal parts can be reduced, allowing the universal joint to rotate and swing more flexibly and reduce the damage caused by mutual wear of parts which can further reduce costs and improve usability.
