Abstract
Description
wearable device field Background The wearable device market has gained lots of attention Leading to innovations for healthcare. Stress is something we try to understand and single sensors to detect different health markers have been developed. the problem that keeps coming up is they don't give answers to what the cause of issues are Reason is that One sensor alone wouldn't be sufficient to understand why the Blood pressure for example is high, so a solution is needed to help target causes. The solution was to make a twin body sensor matching the body. The human body is a complex machine, so the sensor needs to be complex and multi functional and work with artificial intelligence to correlate and contextualise the different physiological changes occurring Due to stress. 0001 We designed a silicon platinum graphene-based gel sensor to fit ergonomically on the wrist and palm of the hand. The sensor has two benefits for detecting stress Stated below. 0002 The palm of the hand is dense with eccrine sweat glands, so when an individual goes into the sympathetic nervous system mode while stressed, sweat will be released into the palm of the hand. The palm of the hand is good to detect stress emotionally and physiologically. 0003 The part of the sensor (in the palm of the hand) will have aptamers with electrodes embedded Inside the sensor, to detect what markers are being released in the sweat. It will be airtight to the palm of the hand and medical grade silicone was chosen because is it is easier to keep clean between use. the Palm sensor has suckers that are designed like an octopus tentacle, on both the palm sensor and wrist strap. It was designed to take advantage of the physiological reaction of sweat loss during exercise. 0004 By using the thumb of the opposite hand to press the pad a couple of times, the octopus tentacle holes will suck up the sweat being released in the palm of the hand to then attach to sensors internally sending information needed to analyse stress. 0005 The sensors will electronically send information to an MCU motor control unit. 0006 The pump sensor is only one part of the stress detection sensor. As a support to the palm sensor, the wrist Strap will also have sensors as a backup to further help detect stress, because stress wouldn't be so easy to detect without both. It's all in one The wrist strap will have the following sensors embedded inside. 1. The Body temperature Sensor 2. motion sensor 3. beats per minute sensor 4. PH sensor will all be inside the wrist strap. 5. A pressure sensor 2. The pictures in Drawing 1 will explain in better detail each part of the sensor, its function and application. This information Collected will be wirelessly communicated to an app via Bluetooth®and will be contextualised with artificial intelligence to then be recorded onto the app, for a healthcare professional and for the wear to read. So, if the individual wearing the device decides to speak to the therapist or doctor, the doctor will have factual data to give clear understanding as two why the wearer may be concerned. The wrist strap will also have octopus tentacles suckers, to absorb sweat. 0007 This multi sensor will help so many individuals to really understand important information About their health. They'll get clarification as to how much the body temperature, motion movement as well as how their heart beats have caused them stress and why. Add to the sensor a sweat detector from the palm of the hand will make it much easier to correlate exactly when the stress kicked in and why. For example, If the heart rate increases and coordination stars to become affected, collecting the various markers in the palm sweat will add to data to be clear as to exactly why the stress kicked in. Everyone looks for answers to know how to improve themselves. You can only improve when results are measured, so to improve health, the sensor and artificial intelligence Will measure the data, recognise patterns and save a lot of Time spent thinking as well as expense trying to connect the dots. This is the problem with a lot of wearables at the moment, so the sensor is a solution to this problem. 0008 This will be invaluable for healthcare and sports. As we know, a small bit of stress is good for adaptation purposes, but chronic stress as we know is bad for health. For example, to improve endurance, a lot of stress is needed during training to improve this. The recovery is crucial, so if the stress is too high and the recovery way too low, the training will become counterproductive to health and fitness. 0009 Overtraining is a big problem not only in sport but for nonathletic fitness enthusiasts as well. It can lead to lower immune system, injuries, fatigue, muscle stress, emotional stress, a lack of sleep and many other health problems. So, the sensor That can collect stress markers in sweat, motion, beats per minute, body temperature and pressure at the same time is essentially building an avatar of an individual's body, that is shown on an app to give much clearer information a lot faster. These important details may not have been So clear before, due to the fact it's a lot of information take in, but this sensor does exactly that. It will communicate exactly what is causing stress that could become chronic or is chronic. We all know that Prevention is better than cure and why this sensor is so valuable. 00010 We created an app to back up the sensor. questions will be asked for the consumer to answer before and after exercise to help give clear indication to stress levels and to what degree of stress. Cortisol is not easy to detect and is a buffer for stress, but when it's chronic or too low, it can have a negative impact on health. It's why I created the sensor to help as many people as possible. For someone who has Huntington disease, or the opposite end an athlete it really helps in so many ways 00011 Physical tests will be asked for the individual to complete with the sensor to test the following physical abilities; coordination, proprioception, balance range of motion, endurance, high intensity training, testing and noting the markers stated above to help detect stress and repair it creating homeostasis 00012 3. When the individual is not exercising, stress levels can be detected due to the fact the wrist strap causes sweat to be released in the wrist, if they Have hyperhidrosis or are just in a stressful environment, The sensor can detect stress and give insight into emotional characteristics and potentially mental health conditions and why they are sweating at all. 00013 Help and assistance will be given to help the individual Understand stress and given techniques to lower stress and see it in real time on the screen. 00014 The pressure sensor will be on the thumb side of the palm of the hand. The wearer will Press down with the fingers to test the strength and endurance by using the hands and testing energy levels, recovery and most importantly the strength of the heart 00015 The motion sensor detects movement, balance, proprioception and Stress levels correlated with sweat markers. 00016 Drawing 1 shows sensor in detail 00017 The detector has been used on both athletes and sedentary people and shows promising results. A number of people with hyperhidrosis used the sensor and could detect stress without exercise. My partner with Huntington disease and other sedentary people who used it showed things like high markers unnoticed before This is really the future of innovation for stress detection. The Cost is low to manufacture. The design is ergonomic and unique Homeonatom^tress analyser Is a technology analysing homeostasis of anatomy. The monitoring of the anatomy, when it's not in homeostasis and assisting wearers to help them go back into homeostasis showing real time data Summary This is the next step in innovation for wearable Devices that will open up new avenues, by helping wearers look at reasons why they're not in homeostasis and start finding answers to do something to help it. The field of not only physical therapy but mental health and neurological therapy can all benefit from this to help therapists really see what really lowers stress
