Abstract
Description
This invention relates to domestic and light commercial ventilation systems, specifically those designed to manage humidity and airborne odours in enclosed or non-vented environments such as interior bathrooms, utility rooms, or kitchens. Traditional extract ventilation systems require ducting to an exterior wall to expel moist and odorous air. This is not always feasible in buildings with structural constraints, conservation restrictions, or internal rooms without direct wall access. Recirculating filters address odour, but not moisture. Dehumidifiers remove moisture but not odour. There is currently no integrated solution that meets both air quality requirements and regulatory airflow standards without needing external wall penetrations. - An extraction fan delivering airflow compliant with Part F building regulations - Multi-stage filtration (grease, carbon, HEPA, optional UV-C) - A dehumidification core that condenses moisture into liquid form - A condensate pump or gravity-drained discharge to a sink / basin waste - Optional routing of diy, filtered air into a building's vented soil pipe The system may be installed wall-mounted or freestanding, and includes optional digital controls, humidity sensors, and filter maintenance indicators.
