Abstract

A systems comprising a measurement device, an elongate mounting pole and a landing plate 400. The measurement device includes inertial sensors and is coupled to a foot having first, second and third edges, which is coupled to an end of the mounting pole, a handle portion being at the opposite end. The landing plate 400 includes first 412, second 408a and third 408b ramps at least partially defining a retention area 410 for retaining the foot and configured to engage with the first, second and third edges respectively to urge the foot towards the retention area 410, wherein the measurement device is in a known position and / or orientation with respect to the landing plate 400 when the foot is retained in the retention area 410.
