Heat transfer plate feature geometry

Abstract

A vehicle battery assembly heat transfer plate comprising: two side portions (410, 430) each comprising an opening 416, 436 and at least one first channel 414, 434; a main portion 420 comprising at least one second channel 424, arranged between the two side portions 410, 430 so a heat transfer fluid flows from the first side portion opening to the second side portion opening via the at least one first channel and the second channel; wherein, for each first channel of each side portion, said first channel has a position and / or shape determined based on one or more of: a first distance from said first channel to the opening of said side portion; a second distance from said first channel to a neighbouring first channel of said side portion; a third distance from said first channel to an edge of said side portion; a number of the at least one first channel of said side portion; a predetermined flow rate range for a flow rate of the heat transfer fluid; and a predetermined pressure range for a pressure of the heat transfer fluid. A method of manufacturing the heat transfer plate considering all of the above determinates is also disclosed. (FIGURE 3)
