Vacuum cleaner

Abstract

A vacuum cleaner is described comprising a suction motor for moving an incoming airflow from an air inlet to an air outlet, a primary separator (210, fig 23) for separating dirt from the incoming airflow, a secondary separator (400, fig 23) located fluidly downstream of the primary separator, and a bin assembly for collecting the dirt separated from the incoming airflow. The bin assembly comprises a bin body 183 having an open end and surrounding the primary and secondary separators, a bin base covering the open end and a nozzle 118 through the bin base 104. The suction motor generates an airflow entering the primary separator from the nozzle and subsequently enters the secondary separator through an inlet of the secondary separator located proximate the bin base.
