Method for storing and retrieving information

Abstract

A computer-implemented method, performed on a user device, for selectively storing items of information in local memory of the user device, the method comprising receiving a user input indicating information is to be stored; identifying, based on the received user input, an item of information which is selected for storage; determining at least one data type within the identified item of information; generating, using at least one encoder module on the user device, at least one embedding vector for the identified item of information, wherein each embedding vector comprises a representation of each determined data type within the identified item of information; and storing the at least one embedding vector for the identified item of information in local memory on the user device whereby the stored at least one embedding vector is useable by the user device to retrieve the stored item of information.
