Abstract

A display device includes a substrate 111 including an active area and a non-active area outside the active area; a sensor SS disposed under a portion of the active area of the substrate to overlap a transmissive area TA; a light-emitting element 160 on the active area of the substrate, the light-emitting element including a first electrode 161, an intermediate layer 162 on the first electrode and including an emission layer, and a second electrode 163 on the intermediate layer; a light-shielding bank 170 on the first electrode and defining an emission area of the light-emitting element; and a metal block BLM which may comprise multiple metal blocks BLM1:114A, 118A; BLM2: 118B, 141A; BLM3: 141B, 152, each extending vertically and positioned between the substrate and the light-emitting element in a cross-sectional view, the metal block being disposed adjacent to the sensor and including two or more metal layers. The metal blocks are electrically isolated and serve to block lateral transmission of light propagating to the sensor SS through insulating layers 125, 126, 127, 128, 131. They may include holes CT1, CT2, CT2 between lower and upper metal layers filled with the materials of the upper metal layers. [Fig. 4]
