Docking station

Abstract

A docking station 12 for servicing a robot surface cleaner. The docking station comprises a housing, a transporter moveable relative to the housing, for receiving a robot at a first position and moving to a second position wherein the robotic cleaner is at least partially in the housing. A roller dryer (60, 61 fig. 5) for reducing moisture content of a roller of a robotic surface cleaner. The docking station operates in a roller cleaning mode in the first position, to clean a roller of a robotic surface cleaner, and a roller drying mode wherein the transporter is in the second position and acts to reduce the moisture content of the surface cleaner. The docking station may comprise a heater, an aperture through which heat is directed from the heater in the second position. There may be a door movable relative to the housing.
