MOUTHWASH PREPARATION CONTAINING HYALURONIC ACID AND DRAGON FRUIT EXTRACT (HYLOCEREUS SPP.)

Abstract

This invention relates to a mouthwash preparation containing hyaluronic acid and dragon fruit extract (Hylocereus spp.). The preparation is a homogeneous solution for oral use consisting of hyaluronic acid with a molecular weight of 50–300 kDa at a concentration of 0.01–0.30% (w / v), dragon fruit extract at a concentration of 0.50–2.00% (w / v), and orally acceptable pharmaceutical excipients. The preparation has characteristics of pH 5.8–6.8 and viscosity of 1–10 mPa·s at 25°C, making it suitable for use in the oral cavity. Dragon fruit extract can be obtained using ethanol as a solvent, and pharmaceutical excipients can include humectants, preservatives, flavors, and non-cariogenic sweeteners. The preparation can be produced through the steps of dissolving hyaluronic acid, adding dragon fruit extract, adding pharmaceutical excipients, adjusting the pH, and homogenizing until a stable solution is obtained.This invention provides an alternative mouthwash preparation based on bioactive ingredients for maintaining oral hygiene and health.
