Abstract

This device is a stripping tool that grips an insulated wire, such as an electric wire, between the device and a wire gripping body provided opposite the device, and strips the insulation from the wire using a blade attached to the device. To grip the insulated wire between the device and the wire gripping body, the operating unit is rotated to slide the device, as shown in Reference Figures 1 and 2, which show the usage state. Next, the insulated wire is inserted between the device and the wire gripping body. Finally, the operating unit is rotated and the device is slid to grip the insulated wire between the device and the wire gripping body. Furthermore, by rotating the device around the insulated wire (electric wire) as an axis, the device can continuously strip the insulation from the insulated wire along its length. For example, as shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the usage state, the device can be attached to a remote rotation control device and positioned near an insulated wire (electric wire) located at a high altitude.
