Abstract
The article of this design is a component installed approximately at the center of the top surface of a cable trough, which consists of a bottom plate with an approximately U-shaped cross section and symmetrically arranged left and right side plates that store electric wires and cables. It supports the trough lid when a load is applied to it, preventing damage to the trough lid. The overall cross section of this article is approximately inverted T-shaped, and the bottom plate and support pillar are integrally molded into a symmetrical approximately inverted T shape with the support pillar standing in the center of the bottom plate. The combined height of the support pillar and bottom plate is formed to a predetermined length approximately equal to the distance between the approximate center of the top surface of the trough bottom plate and the center of the width of the back surface of the trough lid, so that the trough lid can be stably supported when installed in the trough. The cross sections of the bottom plate and support pillar of this article are both approximately rectangular flat plates, and the tips of the support pillars are formed in a flat, approximately linear shape of a predetermined width to easily support the load of the trough lid. The interior of the support column may be divided into multiple compartments, each with a plurality of substantially identical rectangular hollow sections formed in the vertical direction. Only the topmost hollow section is provided with a vertical rib for reinforcement, since it is the section directly bearing the load of the trough lid. The left and right vertical walls of each section are formed to the same predetermined thickness, and the horizontal partition walls connecting these vertical walls at a predetermined interval are also formed to the same predetermined thickness. The thicknesses of the vertical and horizontal partition walls are appropriately determined depending on the load supported by the support member. After the article is placed in the center of the trough bottom plate, when the trough lid is placed on the trough, the tips of the support columns of the article are positioned so as to abut against the back surface of the trough lid at the center of the trough lid cross section. When a load is actually applied to the trough lid, the back surface of the central portion of the trough lid is supported by the flat, approximately linear tips of the support columns of the trough lid support member. In addition, near both ends of the width direction of the upper surface of the bottom plate, approximately inverted trapezoidal grooves running continuously in the longitudinal direction are provided symmetrically in the width direction as screw fixing portions so that the heads of the flat head screws can be accommodated to fix the separator in place when water gets into the trough due to heavy rain, etc. This product is usually made of a molded product of aluminum alloy or resin, taking into consideration strength and workability.
