Abstract
This article is a packaging box blank made of thick paper such as corrugated cardboard. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing the Names of Each Part", the packaging box blank includes a bottom wall, a pair of first side walls, a pair of first flaps, a pair of second side walls, and a pair of second flaps. Each first flap has an engagement hole formed along the boundary with the first side wall. One of the second flaps has a pair of engagement protrusions protruding from both ends. A first folding portion and a second folding portion are disposed near each of the four corners of the bottom wall. Each first folding portion is connected to an end of the first side wall, and each second folding portion is connected to an end of the second side wall. Each first folding portion and each second folding portion are formed in a substantially right-angled triangle shape, and are connected to each other with their hypotenuses. A fixing portion 43 is connected to the end of each second flap and each second folding portion. As shown in "Reference perspective view (1) showing a state of use," the blank for a packaging box is folded into a packaging box by folding back the first side walls, the second folded portions, and the fixing portions inward and bonding the fixing portions to the second flaps. As shown in "Reference perspective view (2) showing a state of use," when the first side walls and the first flaps are raised, the first folded portions and the second folded portions are folded inward, the fixing portions and the second flaps are pulled, and the second side walls are folded upward. When one second flap is folded so as to enter between the pair of first flaps while one second side wall is held substantially upright, the engaging protrusions are inserted into the engaging holes from the back side of the first flaps, and the packaging box changes from the folded state to the provisionally assembled state. After placing items in the packaging box in the provisionally assembled form, as shown in the "reference oblique view (3) showing the state of use," a pair of first flaps are folded inward, and the other second flap is folded while the other second side wall is made to stand approximately upright, thereby changing the packaging box from the provisionally assembled form to a sealed form.
