Abstract
This article is a packaging box blank made of thick paper such as corrugated cardboard. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing the Names of Each Part", the packaging box blank includes a bottom wall, a pair of first side walls, a pair of first flaps, a pair of second side walls, and a pair of second flaps. Each first flap has an engagement hole formed along the boundary with the first side wall. A pair of engagement protrusions protrude from both ends of one of the second flaps. A first folding portion and a second folding portion are disposed near two corners of the bottom wall on the side of one of the second flaps. Each of the first folding portions is connected to an end of the first side wall, and each of the second folding portions is connected to an end of the second side wall. Each of the first folding portions and each of the second folding portions are formed in a substantially right-angled triangular shape, and are connected to each other with their hypotenuses. A fixing portion 43 is connected to the end of one of the second flaps and each of the second folding portions. As shown in "Reference perspective view (1) showing a state of use," the blank for a packaging box is folded into a packaging box by folding back the first side walls, the second folded portions, and the fixing portions inward and bonding the fixing portions to one of the second flaps. As shown in "Reference perspective view (2) showing a state of use," when the first side walls and the first flaps are raised, the first folded portions and the second folded portions are folded inward, the fixing portions and one of the second flaps are pulled, and one of the second side walls is folded upward. When one of the second side walls is folded so as to enter between the pair of first flaps while one of the second side walls is held substantially upright, each of the engaging protrusions is inserted into the engaging holes from the back side of the first flaps, and the packaging box changes from the folded state to the provisionally assembled state. After placing items in the packaging box in the provisionally assembled form, as shown in the "reference oblique view (3) showing the state of use," a pair of first flaps are folded inward, and the other second flap is folded while the other second side wall is made to stand approximately upright, thereby changing the packaging box from the provisionally assembled form to a sealed form.
