Impeller

Abstract

This article is an impeller used in a water jet propulsion system utilized by vessels such as hydroplanes. By forming an outer peripheral forming portion on the outer peripheral portion of the recess on the bottom surface of the impeller, the capacity within the recess on the bottom surface of the impeller is reduced, and the amount of air bubbles that enter and accumulate from the outside can be decreased. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the impeller from idling due to cavitation generated when the air bubbles are discharged to the outside and circulate around the back surface of the outer blade of the impeller.
