Abstract

This handrail consists of a pair of brackets and three handrail members, each with its end connected to each bracket. It is used, for example, by fixing the brackets to a support pole that is installed in a tensioned manner between the floor and ceiling. The brackets can be repositioned around a hinge between a closed position, in which they are fixed to embrace the support pole, and an open position, as shown in the reference plan, when attached to the support pole. Each handrail member has a gripping portion for holding onto it, and a connecting portion that is connected to each end of the gripping portion and connects to the bracket. The three handrail members are arranged at equal angular positions relative to the center of the bracket (support pole) in a plan view.
