Floating Nut

Abstract

The floating nut according to the present application is attached to an object having a wall or ceiling surface, and allows the bolt to move horizontally or vertically when various components are fastened to the nut via a bolt. As shown in the reference exploded perspective view, this floating nut consists of a body, a nut, a washer, and a conical spring. The nut has a plate portion, a cylindrical portion with a threaded hole, and a tip portion, which are separate and can be fastened together by screwing. Furthermore, as shown in the front view, rear view, right side view, and left side view, the outer diameter of the tip portion of the nut is larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical portion of the nut. When the floating nut is assembled, as shown in the AA cross-sectional view and the reference perspective view, the tip of the conical spring engages with the tip portion of the nut, biasing the cylindrical portion in the axial direction, and the other side of the conical spring presses against the body via the washer, elastically supporting the nut.
