Abstract

This hat-type cap consists of a crown for covering the wearer's head and a rim (brim) that protrudes from the entire circumference of the lower edge of the crown. The crown is composed of a top crown (upper portion of the crown) that is circular in plan view and cylindrical side crowns (side portions of the crown). As shown in the "Plan View," the fabric that makes up the top crown of this hat is separated into the front side of the crown (front fabric) and the back side of the crown (rear fabric). As shown in the "Reference View Obliquely from Above Rear," the front and back fabrics of the top crown are sewn together near points P and Q at both ends and near point C in the middle, but are not sewn together in the section PC between points P and C or the section QC between points Q and C. This results in slits in the sections PC and QC of the top crown. These slits allow ventilation inside and outside the crown. In the "plan view," the boundary line between the front and rear fabrics of the top clan (shown as a black line in the figure) is located in the midpoint of the top crown in the front-to-back direction, while in the "bottom view," the boundary line between the front and rear fabrics of the top clan (shown as a white line in the figure) is located forward of the midpoint of the top crown in the front-to-back direction (upper side as you look into the paper in the figure). As can be seen from this, a strip-like overlapping portion is provided between the front and rear fabrics near their boundary. In other words, the area along the rear edge of the front fabric overlaps the upper side (front side) of the area along the front edge of the rear fabric. This overlapping portion makes it difficult for the wearer's hair to be exposed to the outside through the slit in the top crown. The reason why the boundary between the front and rear fabrics of the top crown appears as a white line in the "bottom view" is that the area along the rear edge of the front fabric is folded back to the back side of the top crown along line PQ (see "Reference diagram viewed diagonally from above at the rear"), and part of the part of the front fabric that is folded back to the back side is also shown in the "bottom view."
