Abstract

The article of the present design (hereinafter referred to as "the article") is a storage box for organizing and storing small items such as bundles of disposable and periodic replacement soft contact lenses. It has an opening that opens upward and is composed of a front wall, a back wall, and left and right side walls that rise upward from each of the four sides of a substantially rectangular bottom plate. The front wall is set at a height approximately half or more lower than the back wall, and the left and right side walls slope downward at an angle of approximately 45° from a substantially horizontal portion near the back wall toward the front wall. The front wall, back wall, and left and right side walls each slope slightly tapered so that they widen slightly outward from their lower ends toward the opening. The bottom plate of the article also has a partition wall that rises from a position approximately one-quarter of the way up from the front wall. This partition wall is set at the same height as the corresponding left and right side walls on either side of it, and its left and right ends are connected to the left and right side walls to separate the front wall from the back wall. The bottom plate of this product has five ribs at approximately equal intervals that extend approximately parallel to the left and right side walls between the partition wall and the rear wall, allowing small items to be stored in a raised state between the partition wall and the rear wall. The product also has approximately inverted U-shaped notches that open downward on the left and right side walls at approximately midpoints between the partition wall and the rear wall, allowing the state of the small items stored between the partition wall and the rear wall to be visually confirmed through each notch. The front wall also has an approximately U-shaped notch that opens upward at a central position, allowing the state of the small items stored between the partition wall and the front wall to be visually confirmed through the notch. As shown in the reference perspective view showing the product in use, a box's worth of soft contact lenses is stored between the partition wall and the rear wall as small items, while small pieces separated from the soft contact lenses are stored between the partition wall and the front wall. Furthermore, the bottom plate of this product is provided at its four corners with approximately triangular frame-shaped feet that come into contact with the installation surface while slightly raising the bottom plate.
