Abstract

This item is a metal fitting used on railway tracks to secure a floor plate, on which rails and rail fastening devices are mounted, to the top of the sleepers. To secure the floor plate to the top of the sleepers, the item is engaged with the stepped portion at the end of the floor plate placed in a predetermined position on the top of the sleepers, a bolt is inserted into an elongated hole in the item, and the threaded portion of the bolt is screwed into an embedded plug that has been embedded in the sleeper in advance at a predetermined position, and then tightened to immobilize the floor plate. To secure the floor plate to the top of the sleepers, four items and four bolts are prepared, and the four items are placed at the four corners of the floor plate, with a bolt inserted into each and tightened to immobilize the floor plate.
