Abstract
This roller is used to recreate a sprayed ricin sand wall pattern on walls and ceilings after smoothing out existing repairs, such as concrete spall repairs. (This pattern could previously only be recreated using a compressor, air hose, or dedicated spray gun.) After applying the acrylic tile base with a separate roller, the roller is immediately fitted with a handle equipped with a shaft. Paint thinner (to prevent sticking) is applied to the roller's surface, and the sprayed ricin sand wall pattern is created by rolling the roller with slight pressure. The roller features a pudding-shaped outer surface with a textured, inverted sprayed ricin sand wall pattern. The inner tube is hollowed out to accommodate a roller handle equipped with a shaft. This allows for beautifully recreating patterns in interior corners of walls and window frames. The uneven patterns shown in each figure were actually created by molding with silicone a sample of spray-painted board that had been finished with a spray-painted lysine sand wall pattern.
