Abstract
This design is a keychain decorated with a mould for baking momiji manju. As a motif symbolising the tradition of momiji manju, a Hiroshima prefecture specialty, the design is a reproduction of the hand-baking mould used at the time. The keychain itself is made of metal (copper) and genuine leather, with multiple maple leaf-shaped recesses on the metal part and similar maple leaf-shaped protrusions on the matching leather part. The central part has a hinged structure that can be opened and closed, making it both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
