Pseudo leak standard for leak testing

Abstract

This item is a pseudo-leak standard used in leak tests to detect leaks by pressurizing or depressurizing the inside of a test object and measuring the pressure change due to the leak. It creates a pseudo-leak in the pneumatic circuit of a leak test device. The pseudo-leak test results are compared with the test object's test results and used to evaluate the test object's sealing ability. This item is attached to a test object sample connected to the pneumatic circuit of a leak test device to form an inspection reference object (defective sample), or it is attached directly to the piping of the pneumatic circuit to which the test object sample is connected. This item is threadedly connected to a jig in the pneumatic circuit or to a female thread machined into the test object sample. A thin tubular capillary is housed in a through hole formed inside the body of this item and is supported by a cap screw and O-ring. When air pressure is applied to this item, a leak occurs from the hole in the capillary.
