Puncture site protection cover

Abstract

The "Puncture Site Protection Cover," an article of the present design, is a cover worn in medical settings over the site where a catheter or puncture needle has been inserted to prevent the patient from unintentionally removing it and to allow the patient to see the condition of the site. This article primarily covers the insertion site of a catheter or puncture needle inserted into the arm or other area with a breathable mesh section located in the center. The main body, including the mesh section, is wrapped around the cover and secured with hook-and-loop fasteners on both sides. This prevents the patient from accidentally removing a tube or other device, and the sound of the hook-and-loop fasteners separating when the cover is removed alerts those around. The mesh section also ensures visibility of the puncture site, making it easier for medical professionals to check the condition and monitor the progress.
